For testing the control parts of the processor modules, a novel high-level control fault model is proposed. Using this model, a set of deterministic test data operands are generated for each instruction of the instruction group using the module under test. For generating tests for the data path of the module under test, pseudo-exhaustive patterns are used. The set of test data is generated in two parts. The first part is based on the deterministic test data generated for the control test, and the second part is formed by the sets of pseudo-exhaustive test data operands, generated for each instruction of the group separately. We investigated the feasibility of the approach and demonstrated high gate-level stuck-at-fault coverage of the generated test programs for testing the execute module of the MiniMIPS RISC processor.","PeriodicalId":309822,"journal":{"name":"2019 MIXDES - 26th International Conference \"Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems\"","volume":"2015 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117147079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Depending on implementation it can be vulnerable to different Side Channel Analysis attacks exploiting information leakage, such as power consumption or execution time. Multiple countermeasures against these attacks have been developed over time, each having different impact on parameters of the cryptosystem. This paper summarizes popular countermeasures for simple and differential power analysis attacks on Elliptic Curve cryptosystems. Presented secure algorithms were implemented in Verilog hardware description language and synthesized to logic gates for power trace generation.","PeriodicalId":309822,"journal":{"name":"2019 MIXDES - 26th International Conference \"Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems\"","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128687820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering their functioning, FIR filters require only simple arithmetic operations such as multiplication, addition and shifting of signal samples in the delay line. In the case of their implementation as a device in which parallel processing of signals is assumed, one of the main challenges is an efficient implementation of the block of filter coefficients. This applies in particular to high order, N filters and a relatively high resolution (in bits) of the processed signals and filter coefficients. When the objective is to reach a high filter selectivity, understood as the attenuation in the stop band and the steepness in the transient band of the frequency response, the filter coefficients usually also require high resolutions. In the presented work we perform an analysis of trade-offs between such parameters as data rate, occupied chip area (number of transistors), simplicity of the control block as well as energy consumption. We investigate possible approaches to the implementation of such filters, particularly in terms of the complexity of the block of coefficients. One of the key possibilities is the use of at least partially asynchronous signal processing, which has a significant impact on the complexity of the circuit structure and data rates.","PeriodicalId":309822,"journal":{"name":"2019 MIXDES - 26th International Conference \"Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems\"","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123767274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of the complex nature of the ultrasonic wave, the substantial measurements averaging applied makes difficult assessment of instantaneous FHR variability. These limitations are the reason for searching for more effective methods for fetal risk assessment. For many years, a growing interest in monitoring of bioelectrical fetal heart activity has been observed. Monitoring based on a fetal electrocardiogram (FECG) enables determining the fetal heart rate with a beat-to-beat accuracy. At the same time an analysis of the fetal electrocardiogram provides a new diagnostic information in the form of QRS complex morphology changes, that allow to distinguish suspicious from truly abnormal records. Two methods for recording of fetal electrocardiogram can be distinguished: a direct method applicable only during labour (dFECG) where the electrode is placed on the fetal head, and an indirect one (abFECG) where measuring electrodes are placed on maternal abdomen. Our goal was to evaluate the possibility of introduction to a common clinical practice the new developed abFECG system. The results confirmed that the proposed method offers accuracy sufficient for reliable assessment of the FHR variability.","PeriodicalId":309822,"journal":{"name":"2019 MIXDES - 26th International Conference \"Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems\"","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116137025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both ISAs were compared and necessary code changes were implemented to the original Verilog HDL code. After retargeting, the entire processor was preliminary verified with functional simulation using riscv-tests and riscv-compliance suites. Moreover, performance comparison between two ISAs was carried out using the Dhrystone and CoreMark benchmarks.","PeriodicalId":309822,"journal":{"name":"2019 MIXDES - 26th International Conference \"Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems\"","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115141625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
