Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui variasi kedalaman makna eksperiensial pada teks intersemiotika novel Breaking Dawn dan film Breaking Dawn part 1 , unsur film yang dipengaruhi oleh variasi, dan pengaruh variasi kedalaman makna eksperiensial terhadap kelogisan film Breaking Dawn part 1 . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Hasil yang didapatkan, yaitu: pertama, variasi kedalaman makna eksperiensial film didominasi oleh kelompok variasi dangkal; kedua, seluruh unsur film menunjukkan adanya pengaruh variasi; ketiga, kelogisan film menunjukkan bahwa pada kelogisan internal, terdapat kelogisan pada unsur naratif, dan ketidaklogisan pada unsur mise-en-scene dan suara; sedangkan kelogisan eksternal menunjukkan adanya ketidaklogisan penggambaran film dengan temanya; dan keempat, film Breaking Dawn part 1 merupakan perwujudan kurang baik dari novel Breaking Dawn . Kata Kunci : penerjemahan intersemiotika, variasi kedalaman, dan makna eksperiensial Experiential meaning depth variation of intersemiotic texts Breaking Dawn novel and Breaking Dawn Part-1 movie Abstract This research studied the intersemiotic translation that involved two intersemiotic texts: a lingual text in the form of Breaking Dawn novel and a lingual-non lingual text in the form of Breaking Dawn part 1 movie. The aims of the research were to find out the depth variation of the experiential meaning in the intersemiotic texts of Breaking Dawn novel and Breaking Dawn part 1 movie, the movie elements under the influence of variation, and the influence of experiential meaning depth variations onto the movie logic. This study was a qualitative research with the content analysis method.  The results were first, the “shallow” group dominated the depth variation of experiential meaning; second, all of the movie elements showed variation influence; third, the movie logic showed that the internal logic showing the narrative element logic and the mise-en-scene and audio elements improperness; while the external logic showed the movie visualization improperness related to the theme; and forth, Breaking Dawn part 1 movie was not a good realization of Breaking Dawn novel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dari tes menulis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan secara kolaboratif dalam dua siklus, dan setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Setelah dilakukan tindakan self-editing and self-correcting dalam dua siklus, ditemukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan menulis bahasa inggris siswa. Peningkatan ini dapat dilihat dari adanya perbedaan hasil analisis kesalahan pada pra-tindakan, tindakan siklus I dan tindakan siklus II. Hasil analisis pra-tindakan menemukan 29,16% memperoleh skor minimal 70, siklus I menemukan 60% siswa memperoleh skor minimal 70, dan siklus II 86,21% siswa memperoleh skor minimal 70. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah hasil analisis kesalahan tata bahasa dan kosakata yang digunakan sebagai landasan pembelajaran menulis melalui self-editing and self-correcting terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris siswa. Improving the students english writing skill through self-editing and self-correcting based on grammatical and vocabulary error analysis Abstract This study aims to improve students' English writing skills through self-editing and self-correcting based on grammar and vocabulary error analysis. This is calssroom action research. The data were collected through observation and test techniques from 28 students. The research was carried out collaboratively in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two actions. Each action consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. After the self-editing and self-correcting action in two cycles, there is an increase in students’ English writing skills. The improvement of students’ writing skills can be seen from the difference in the error analysis in pre-action, first and second cycle action. The results of pre-action analysis show that 29,16% of students get 70 as a minimum score. After the implementation of cycle I, it is found that 60% of students get 70 as a minimum score, and in the second cycle, it is found that 86,21% of students get 70 as a minimum score. The conclusion of this research is the analysis of grammatical errors and vocabulary that is used as the basis for studying writing through self-editing and self-correcting can improve the students' English writing skills. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan prosedur pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall yang meliputi: analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan pengembangan produk, pengembangan produk, evaluasi produk, dan dihasilkan produk akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar pembelajaran menulis cerita berbasis pendekatan proses bagi siswa SMP, adalah sebagai berikut. (1) siswa memerlukan bahan ajar yang berisi cara menulis cerita. (2) perencanaan dan pengembangan bahan ajar disesuaikan dengan temuan dari analisis kebutuhan, dengan meramu materi cerita dan cara menulis cerita berdasarkan teori pendekatan proses menjadi satu kesatuan. (3) kualitas bahan ajar pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek kelayakan isi, aspek bahasa dan gambar, aspek penyajian, dan aspek kegrafisan menurut ahli, secara keseluruhan berkualitas “baik”. (4) produk akhir berupa bahan ajar pembelajaran menulis cerita berbasis pendekatan proses yang dikembangkan terdiri atas tiga kegiatan belajar. kegiatan belajar I berisi pengenalan cerita, sedangkan kegiatan belajar II dan kegiatan belajar III berisi tahapan menulis cerita dengan pendekatan proses. Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, menulis cerita, pendekatan proses Developing a story writing teaching module based on the process approach for SMP students Abstract The objectives of this study were: (1) know the students’ need for Indonesia language teaching, especially the story writing teaching module based on the theoretical and field study; (2) describe the planning and developing the beginning of the writing teaching module by the process approach based on the students’ need analysis; (3) know the properness of the story writing teaching module based on the process approach for SMP students according to the experts, the Indonesian teacher and the students; (4) produce the story writing teaching module based on the process approach which is proper used. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode simak, dengan melihat mood dan residue dari Eggin. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variasi keluasan makna interpersonal lapis pertama yang diwujudkan dalam T1-T2 didominasi oleh variasi 0 (paling rendah). Hal ini dikarenakan T1-T2 keduanya bersarana grafik dengan kecirian bahasa tulis yang di dalamnya bercirikan Mood dan Residu yang tersurat. Selain itu, penerjemah T2 dari awal telah memutuskan T1 menjadi intertekstual konteks T2. Adapun bukti empiriknya adalah judul T1-T2 mempunyai makna kata yang sama sehingga dengan otomatis isi selanjutnya, ranah sosial dalam T2 selalu terkait dengan T1. Adapun pendorong penerjemah T2 memutuskan T1 menjadi intertekstual konteks T2 karena penerjemah T2 menganut ideologi makna berangkat dari T1 sehingga dalam melakukan tindak penerjemahan, penerjamah T2 setia dengan T1. Kata Kunci : variasi, keluasan makna interpersonal The breadth variation of interpersonal meaning on the bilingual translational text of “perburuan” in bahasa Indonesia and France Abstract This research aims to describe the degree of the interpersonal meaning breadth on the translational texts which involves two languages, in this case Bahasa Indonesia and French. It also aims to describe the factors of the interpersonal meaning breadth on those texts. The data collection was conducted by observing the texts. The findings show that the variation of interpresional meaning breadth of the first layer, which is represented T1-T2, is dominated by variation 0 (the lowest variation). This is beacause T1-T2 is in the form of written text in which the characteristic of written text is the extrinsic Mood and Residue. Moreover, the T2 translator decided that T1 became the T2 intertextual context. The empirical proof is represented in the title of T1-T2 which has the same meaning so that the social context is always related to T1. The motive of the translator T2 to decide that T1 became intertextual of T2 is that he follows the ideology that meaning derives from T1 so that in the process of translation, he sticks to the T1. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pleret. Objek penelitian adalah interferensi bahasa Jawa ke dalam bahasa Indonesia pada keterampilan berbicara. Human instrument, yaitu peneliti sebagai instrumen utama. Data diperoleh dengan teknik SBLC, rekam, dan catat. Selain itu, wawancara dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi faktor penyebab inter-ferensi. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan tiangulasi dan expert judgement . Analisis dilakukan dengan intralingual error analysis . Teknik metode padan intralingual yang digunakan adalah teknik HBB. Hasil penelitian yaitu, pertama, interferensi fonologi terjadi karena terdapat prenasalisasi berupa suara hidung yang mendahului fonem /b/, /d/, /j/, dan /g/. Kedua, interferensi morfologi terjadi karena terda-pat afiksasi yang dipengaruhi sistem afiksasi bahasa Jawa, yaitu (a) prefiks n-, ke-, ny -, ng-, m-, (b) sufiks -e, (c) konfiks ke – an yang mengacu ke - en, dan (d) penggunaan akhiran –nya yang merujuk pada panambang –e. Ketiga , interferensi leksikal terjadi karena terdapat penggunaan leksikal pada dan tak yang merupakan leksikal bahasa Jawa. Penggunaan leksikal tersebut menyebabkan kesalahan keba-hasaan serta semantis. Keempat, interferensi sintaksis terjadi karena (a) penggunaan pola frasa “ adverbia pada + verba ” dan “ adjektiva + sendiri ” , (b) penggunaan pola klausa “ pronomina posesif (tak) + verba ” . Kelima, faktor linguistik penyebab interferensi, yaitu kontak bahasa, transfer negatif bahasa, dan sistem bahasa yang berdekatan. Faktor nonlinguistik penyebab interferensi, yaitu kebiasa-an, dominasi penguasaan bahasa Jawa, dan sikap berbahasa. Kata Kunci: interferensi, analisis kesalahan, keterampilan berbicara THE INTERFERENCE OF JAVANESSE LANGUAGE IN INDONESIAN IN THE SPEAKING SKILL OF THE STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 1 PLERET, BANTUL Abstract The aims of this research are to analyze the form of phonological, morphologycal, lexical, syntactic interference, and the factors causing interference of Javanesse language in Indonesian in the speaking skill. The subjects of this study were all eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pleret. The object of this study was the interference of Javanesse language in Indonesian in the speaking skill. The research instrument was the human instrument. The data of this study were collected through SBLC, record, and noted techniques. The validity of the data was obtained through the triangulation technique and expert judgment. The intralingual error analysis was used for the data analysis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas atau classroom action research . Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian tindakan Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X2 SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, catatan lapangan dan tes. Validitas yang digunakan adalah validitas demo-krasi, validitas proses dan validitas dialogis. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian tindakan ini adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) siswa dapat menemukan ide lebih cepat, (2) siswa dapat membuat kerangka karangan, (3) siswa dapat mengembangkan kerang-ka karangan, (4) siswa dapat berpikir sistematis, (5) siswa semakin antusiasnya dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis karangan, (6) siswa paham melakukan proses mengarang. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHOTOGRAPH MEDIA TO IMPROVE THE DESCRIPTION WRITING SKILL OF THE STUDENTS AT SMA NEGERI 2 KEBUMEN Abstract This research is aimed to describe and to explain the improvement in the description writing skill of the tenth grade students at SMA N 2 Kebumen by using  approach process and photography media. This research is classroom action research or classroom action research. The design used in this research was action research design by Kemmis and Taggart. The subject of the research was X2 class students at SMA Negeri 2 Kebumen in the academic year of 2011/2012, consisted of 32 students. The data collection was done by using observation, field notes and description during the time of the learning activity and also tests (pre test and post test). The validity used was democratic validity because the researcher truthfully collaborated either with the teacher and the students, the research also used process validity, marked by accuracy in the research process and dialogic validity can be shown that the research was implemented by having dialogue with the teacher and the collaborator to seek for critics and suggestion. Reliability in this action research was based on contextual and situational and localized. The technique used to analyze the data in this action research was descriptive. The study applied a qualitative approach which employed a sematic-translational content analysis of qualitative and quantiative data. The results show that thematic progression variation falls into the low category at average indicated by the mean score of 0.76. The most prominent variation was repre-sented by the low category of variation. The variations were performed by adding or omitting Themes, splitting one units of thematic structure into more than one unit, downranking, not expressing and creating new clauses. The factors that motivate the variation are the different linguistic properties bet-ween English and Bahasa Indonesia and the situational contexts. In terms of effects, the variation caused dangling clauses which cannot be identified from which they are developed. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif yang menerapkan kerangka teoritik Translation Tou dan model komunikasi sematik translational untuk analisis translasi dan model conceptual Halliday untuk analisis makna tekstual. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah dua novel dengan fokus pada satuan-satuan klausa. yang mewujudkan satuan-satuan makna tekstual. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dengan menerapkan konsep Komunikasi Semiotik Translasional (KST) dan konsep Halliday tentang makna tekstual. Pengujian keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi KMT antara T1 dan T2 cenderung sangat rendah atau T1=T2, hal ini dapat dilihat dari tingkat frekuensi kemunculan terdapat pada variasi nol atau sangat rendah sebesar 552 atau 63,52% (T1=T2). Berdasarkan hasil rerata tingkat keluasannya, T1 lebih luas dari T2. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kemunculan rerata T1 sejumlah 193 atau sebesar 22,21%. Jenis-jenis tema yang memotivasi terjadinya variasi keluasan makna tekstual yaitu: tema interpersonal, tema tekstual, dan tema topikal. Faktor-faktor kontekstual yang memotivasi terjadinya variasi KMT, yaitu konteks situasi dan konteks budaya. Konteks situasi terdiri dari field, tenor dan mode. Konteks budaya ditunjukkan oleh istilah yang mengacu pada budaya T1 digunakan pada T2. Pada judul yang tampak pada T1 dan T2, mengindikasikan bahwa T2 berintertekstual dengan T1. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah Randomized Pretest-Postest Control Group Design , dengan dua kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X jurusan otomotif SMK Diponegoro Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penentuan kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen dilakukan secara random. Pengumpulan data penenelitian melalui lembar penilaian performansi keterampilan berpidato. Instrumen divalidasi dengan uji validitas isi yang melibatkan expert judgment . Data dianalisis dengan Anava dilanjutkan dengan uji Scheffe. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) media mind mapping lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran tanpa media pembelajaran, (2) media poster lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran tanpa media pembelajaran, (3) media mind mapping merupakan media yang paling efektif dibandingkan dengan media poster dan pembelajaran tanpa media. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survey yang mengandung tiga variabel bebas dan satu variabel terikat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Sampel sejumlah 383 siswa ditentukan menggunakan teknik proportional stratified sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket motivasi, keyakinan diri, persepsi siswa, dan apresiasi karya sastra. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini ada empat. Pertama, motivasi berpengaruh terhadap apresiasi karya sastra. Kedua, keyakinan diri berpengaruh terhadap apresiasi karya sastra. Ketiga, persepsi siswa berpengaruh terhadap apresiasi karya sastra, dan Keempat, motivasi, keyakinan diri, dan persepsi siswa berpengaruh secara bersama-sama terhadap apresiasi karya sastra. Kata Kunci: motivasi, keyakinan diri, persepsi, dan apresiasi karya sastra The effect of motivation, self-efficacy, and perception on the literature appreciation of the students of junior high schools Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of: (1) students’ motivation; (2) students’ self-efficacy; (3) students’ perception on the literature appreciation of the students of junior high schools in Kabupaten Lombok Timur. This study used the quantitative approach. This research was a survey containing three independent variables and one dependent variable. The population was all students of junior high schools in Kabupaten Lombok Timur. A sample of 383 students was established using proportional stratified sampling technique. The data were collected using the motivation questionnaire, self-efficacy questionnaire, students’ perception questionnaire, and students’ literature appreciation questionnaire. To determine the effect, the researchers used descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, motivation affects students’ literature appreciation. Second, the self-efficacy affects students’ literature appreciation. Third, the perception affects students’ literature appreciation. Fourth, motivation, self-efficacy, and perceptions simultaneously affect students’ literature appreciation.
