What was their experience in this area, time and what equipment (software and hardware) they had to fulfill the educational essence of their profession. As a method for the research survey, we used a questionnaire, where we evaluated the answers from a total of 149 respondents – teachers working at the first stage of primary schools. The questionnaire consisted of 17 questions, partly socio-demographic and, in connection with them, questions with regard to the essence of the research survey. From the overall output of the research survey, it is clear that primary school teachers, with regard to the demographic distribution, have a positive attitude towards modern technologies. This relationship / attitude was evaluated with a final grade of 1.74 (grade taken as part of the school environment). The material provision of distance learning or technology in ordinary frontal teaching is not at all surprising. Educators make extensive use of a technique that is generally known and used in other professions or in the daily activities of the ordinary person. It is mainly a laptop and a printer. The issue of modern technologies and online tools is very complex, because it is a completely new era that the current population is going through. Technology development is advancing very intensively. It is now the educators who guide current pupils through basic education and give them a foundation in digital and information technologies who need to deepen their knowledge and skills. Given the pandemic situation within Covid-19, it is clear that there has been a radical reversal in the ability of teachers and the schools themselves to access distance learning with the help of modern technology.","PeriodicalId":30899,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Information Education","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79344557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main goal of our work was to map the issue of educational robotics as one of the important tools for promoting the concept of development of computational thinking, based on pedagogical research methods. Therefore, a questionnaire research survey was carried out among pupils of selected primary schools, the course and results of which are described in the present paper.","PeriodicalId":30899,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Information Education","volume":"86 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87094954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using blanks apps has become very widespread lately, mostly because of the Co-Vid-19 pandemic and the need for distance learning. These apps make it possible for the children to exercise the curriculum with the help of quizzes and other interactive formats and to get immediate feedback. These applications usually have attractive looks, playful forms and are very user friendly, both for the teachers as well as for the students. But what is their real impact on pupils? Do they really help children to speed up the fixation of the curriculum or to improve their studying results? Do they increase children’s interests for the subject? We are looking for answers to these questions in the following research study with the help of analyzing expert articles and a questionnaire targeted to children on 2nd stage of elementary schools.","PeriodicalId":30899,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Information Education","volume":"58 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78204025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This revision occurred at the end of January 2021 and focuses primarily on the implementation of the development of computational thinking and understanding of the basic principles of digital technologies. Meanwhile, the definition of computational thinking continues to be a subject of academic debate, raising the question of how schools will implement its development. This paper analyses teachers’ reactions to this revision in the context of research focusing on primary and lower secondary school teachers’ attitudes towards the self-concept of computational thinking. In the research, it was found that the prevailing tendency of teachers in the development of computational thinking is to emphasize the ability to work with data, data collection and analysis. This area was followed by the development of algorithmic thinking, specifically the formulation of problems for machine solutions and then concepts related to representation. These tendencies are also observable in the teachers’ approach to the revision of the FEP.","PeriodicalId":30899,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Information Education","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84159421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also provides opportunities for innovations in the process of teaching and learning for the sake of achieving the desired learning in students. The approaches of teaching mainly transformed from the teacher-centred class into the student-centred one, with students actively engaging in learning. The teachers who use ICT are expected to effectively employ it in teaching and learning processes to improve not only the students’ learning performance but also their own teaching proficiency. First, this study aims at demonstrating the effects of ICT on the development of teaching quality that could enable teachers to improve their pedagogical beliefs and practices. Second, it suggests the factors that result in progressing ICT teachers’ teaching quality in educational settings. A qualitative methodology was adopted in this study, and the adopted analysis procedure includes a description of ICT, ICT and quality of teaching, the impacts of ICT on improving teaching quality (benefits of ICT in the teaching context), factors that result in advancing ICT and teaching quality in the educational settings and conclusions. This paper has drawn on educational research and emerging new practices of ICT in teaching and learning processes to investigate the impacts of ICT on developing quality of teaching.","PeriodicalId":30899,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Technology and Information Education","volume":"87 2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89519125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
