A sufficient bilinear matrix inequality (BMI) condition is developed for finding a stabilizing static output feedback H-infinity controller. For the first time, a novel cone complementary linearization approach within the context of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) is proposed to investigate the feasibility of the stabilizing controller synthesis along with a minimized H-infinity attenuation rate. The proposed method requires neither any apriori assumption generally made on the input/output matrices nor any application of a coordinate transformation. The proposed control scheme has been designed using linear approximations, whereas their evaluation has been done through simulation, considering a nonlinear process model, describing the complexity of this multivariable biological process. The proposed control including feedforward compensation present improved control performances, and consequently improves microorganism's growth conditions. The whole system uses different image processing techniques such as binarization, contrast enhancement, noise elimination, morphological operations (dilatation, erosion), labeling and extraction of some features of interest (area, perimeter, diameter). Using this information, some factors (form factor, circularity factor, and deviation factor) involved in the classification of red cells are calculated. The classification process has two phases: the first separates red cells in normal and abnormal type and the second classifies the abnormal in three subclasses. This approach is applied to the design of 3 super-twisting observers for estimating the reaction rates in a lipase production process from olive oil byCandida rugosa. However, in the Spanish hospitals, they also play the role of decision makers being involved, for example, in scheduling surgeries in operation rooms. Although some doctors might be doing this for a long time, which give them experience in such decisions, the efficiency of the operation room can be improved with the help of some technical solutions that are the result of advance research in planning and scheduling surgeries. Such technical solutions can also decrease the overtime hours and reduce the under/over utilization of some operating rooms. This paper’s focus is to create such a solution that will help medical doctors to spend less time in managing tasks and have a better occupancy rate within the available capacity of the operation room. It will also decrease the stress level and allow the medical doctors to offer more of their time to healthcare. The contributions of this paper are: (i) a new heuristic algorithm for scheduling operations that do not require the use of any optimization tool, (ii) an in-built managing system for patients and operation rooms in the Operating Theater, and (iii) simulation results using real data in the proposed software tool. This is even more applicable in medical field, where particular demands are necessary. Thus, the physicians (and other medical stuff) are not only responsible for specific medical interventions; they have to also provide the health care environment that includes many other aspects. For instance, one significant activity performed by the medical stuff is the medication stock management. The purpose of this paper is to describe an automated system aimed to help them with this activity. This application is able, at the time being, to receive information from peripheral equipment, to store it into a database and to display all the actions performed by different users of the system. This approach is explored in the present study case of 1:10 scale car components, delivering performances and further thoughts on full-scale implementation of an artificial neural network in the area of self-driving automobiles. The frames taken from live recording pass through an artificial neural network and return a steering angle. The proposed system uses a zero order Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model, adapted to avoid the division operation in the deffuzification block and also to reduce the computational requirements for the fuzzification block. The digital architecture is optimized to benefit from the advantages provided by the Xilinx DSP48E2 slice in terms of speed and logic resource consumption. The design has been synthesized and tested on a Xilinx FPGA device and the reported results confirm its viability to be embedded in real time application systems. In this paper we deal with the advantage of multi-agent systems and IoT for ehealth applications in scalable platforms. We investigated how Cloud-based model can be adopted. Thus, an architecture was designed for a medical data based intelligent system that processes the collected data and takes the right decisions based on them. This work also presents a drill down into the mobile client architecture focusing on the implementation of some of the simple periodic agents and combining them into complex periodic agents. The pulse-oximetry sensors were considered in this research. In this context, a heart rate simple periodic agent and a SpO2 simple periodic agent were developed.
