In order to obtain an accurate process model, neural networks are used. The proposed control strategy is analyzed both in the case when the main disturbance signals occur and they do not occur in the system. In order to improve the control system performances, the theory of fractional-order controllers is applied, combined with an adaptive algorithm. For a more efficient disturbances effect rejection, the reference model of the separation process is used.","PeriodicalId":308427,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130954215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our control objective is to keep the effluent pollutant concentration at a desired low level, and also to ensure that the dissolved oxygen concentration follows some imposed references. Therefore we propose two new control schemes for robust-adaptive and model predictive control, taking into account the Bayesian based weighted values of the state’s estimations provided by an interval observer and a parameter estimator of the unknown growth rate. A comparison of the effectiveness of the two approaches is illustrated by numerical simulations performed under different conditions related to some degree of uncertainness of a continuous wastewater treatment bioprocess.","PeriodicalId":308427,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"R-28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126630406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many industrial systems are automated using servers based on Unix and Linux operating systems in industries like: automotive, telecommunications, production etc. Universities and other teaching organizations tend to lack human resources since most of the potential tutors are already employed in the IT industry having significant beneficial packages. In this context cloud enabled auto-generative learning objects can help in the process of training of new IT specialists. They offer the possibility to reuse learning patterns and to fill them with randomly generated but controlled data. Thus, students can learn, exercise and auto-assess their knowledge in Unix commands to be ready for employment in the IT industry.","PeriodicalId":308427,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126253014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To that end, the task of determining attractors becomes important in modern systems analysis. Biological systems are typically formalised as highly parametrised continuous-time ODE models. Such models can be abstracted in the form of parametrised graphs. In such abstractions, attractors are observed in the form of terminal strongly connected components (tSCCs). In this paper, we demonstrate a novel method for detecting tSCCs in parametrised graphs on several models of cyanobacteria taken from the domain-specific online platform e-cyanobacterium.org.","PeriodicalId":308427,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129157922","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In various applications the injection of a sinusoidal signal can be used for frequency response analysis. In this case the speed control of a circulating pump is adapted in order to perform a speed excitation which can be used for the identification of the pipeline network the pump is embedded in. As the original speed control was implemented with a PI-controller in order to control the operating point of the pump, the control is adapted by adding a resonant controller in parallel to the PI-controller in order to maintain a transfer function similar to the original one while providing an improved behaviour regarding the injection of the speed excitation.","PeriodicalId":308427,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132837058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve the problem, the control law is constructed providing insensitive to effects of faults. The suggested solution is based on so-called logic-dynamic approach. The main feature of this approach is that it allows to use well known linear methods for systems with non-smooth nonlinearities. There is a mechanical three-wheels type structure that contains a single simultaneous drive and steering wheel and two passive wheels mounted on the same rear axle. The direct kinematic model and the inverse kinematic model are first developed. Then, dynamic aspects of the medical wheelchair navigation on a required trajectory are presented and analyzed. This is constituted by the succession of different types of sections, linear or curvilinear. It is intended to develop driving laws that do not introduce sudden step variations to changing sections. In this respect, the paper presents two driving solutions on complex trajectories: driving strategy through direction and speed driving strategy, respectively. For each, aspects that are more particular are considered.","PeriodicalId":308427,"journal":{"name":"2018 22nd International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131814066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
