Junaedi","doi":"10.15294/ujme.v6i3.16084","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15294/ujme.v6i3.16084","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this study was to (1) gain the description of PBL mathematicis lesrning model quality towards students; (2) creative thinking ability in solving some open ended problems before the PBL model aplied to them; and (3) getting the description of creative thinking process in solving the open ended problems based on Wallas model in PBL of learning for each Creative Thinking Skill Test CTST. This research is using mixed methods. The result of Mathematical Creative Thinking Skill Test (MCTST) is analyzed quantitatively using classical completeness test and also average difference test. Furthermore, the result of MCTST is analyzed qualitatively to gain the result of students’ Creative Thinking Skill Test (CTST) before PBL learning mode to be applied to them. To obtain research data used questionnaire methods, documentation, testing, observations, and interviews. Gaya belajar yang dimaksud adalah gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Ungaran dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan random sampling. Sampelnya adalah kelas VII-F dan subjek penelitian dipilih dengan teknik purposive, diperoleh 6 subjek yang terbagi menjadi 2 subjek pada setiap tipe gaya belajar. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of SSCS learning model with KNWS strategy towards mathematical creative thinking ability and self confidence of students. The populations of this study was students at grade VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Semarang academic year 2016/2017. The sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique, which were chosen VIIIA as experiment class and VIIIC as control class. Data collection methods used documentation, a test, a questionnaire, and an observation. This research is quantitative research followed by interview. The population is the class of VII SMP N 3 Ungaran as many as 343 students with the sample of the class students VII G as the experimental group of 35 students and the class students VII E as the control group of 33 students. The instrument used is a matter of inductive reasoning test, responsibility character questionnaire, student response questionnaire, and teacher activityobservation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed using proportion test, t-test, two propotion test, paired ttest, and normalized gain. The subjects of this reasearch are each of the two students with high responsibility, medium responsibility, and low responsibility. The results of this study indicated that PBLBertema learning is effective to improve students inductive reasoning abilities. The type of this research was qualitative which was descriptive. To obtained the validity of the qualitative data, the checking technique used in this research was sources triangulation, which had been done by comparing the suitability of the obtained data from the results of the interview and the test. Population of this research was the students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo and the sample was the students from VIII A Class. At the final, 12 research subjects were chosen to represent the group of level 1 self-efficacy, level 2 self-efficacy, level 3 self-efficacy, level 4 self efficacy, level 5 self-efficacy, and level 6 self-efficacy. In this research, there was a finding which shows us that the students with high self-efficacy had low ability to finish the geometrical reasoning ability test, while the students with low self-efficacy had the ability to finish the geometrical reasoning ability test. The method used was survey methods with quantitative approach and hypothesis testing using path analysis. Large sample as many as 140 students, with sampling the sampling technique used was saturated. By using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, the classroom is designed to support students to understand word problem. 81 students in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, were pointed out in order to reach the objectives of the data. This research used a quantitative method to measure students’ understanding and interest in learning word problem by playing Jakri. Based on the level of RME approach, many students are able to reach level 1, students easy to accustom with Jakri game (real situation level), but students have some difficult to shifting from level 2 to level 3 (model-of level to model-for level). No one of them can reach the formal mathematics level (level 4). Students also have difficulty to do computation but the students create new mathematics sentence based on their own story. Quantitative data analysis uses t-test, z-test, and normalized gain test. Analysis of qualitative data using data reduction stages, data presentation, and conclusions. This research using mixed methods concurrent embedded. This research using test method, documentation, and interview to take data results. The results of this research showed that (1) the problem solving ability of learners by using Problem Based Learning model with diagnostic assessment and remedial teaching could achieve qualified score was more than 75%; (2) the process to follow up for learners who did not achieve good score after got learning materials by using Problem Based Learning model was carrying out of diagnostic test and remedial teaching; (3) after holding summative test, the researcher got average value 78,97.
