Examples of NCDs include stroke, coronary heart disease, cancer, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and conditions resulting from accidents and violence. In Banggai Regency, the number of people with NCDs continues to increase, with 5.2% having hypertension and 8.5% having diabetes mellitus in 2021. NCDs can be detected through early detection by measuring blood pressure, cholesterol levels, blood sugar, and body mass index (BMI). The aim of this activity is to screen for NCDs and cervical cancer. The participants of this activity are 22 women from the Ministry of Religious Affairs Women's Association in Banggai Regency. The activity was conducted in October 2022 at the campus of the D3 Nursing Study Program in Luwuk. The examination method used rapid tests to measure cholesterol and blood sugar levels, while blood pressure was measured using a digital sphygmomanometer, and anthropometric measurements were taken to obtain BMI data. IVA tests were also conducted to detect cervical cancer. The results of the examination showed that 63.6% of the participants were at risk of pre-hypertension, 12.7% were at risk of hypercholesterolemia, and 31.8% were at risk of diabetes mellitus. The BMI measurements showed that 59.1% were in the obesity category, and 72.7% had an obese waist circumference. The IVA tests did not detect any risk of cervical cancer. NCD screening through routine health check-ups should be done periodically to detect NCD risks as early as possible.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"153 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117098261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The program aimed to empower society by enhancing knowledge, strengthening intentions and skills. The program focused on the stunting prevention behaviors of pregnant women, breastfeeding women, toddler moms, young women, elementary school students, and health cadres. The methods of KKN-PPMUH activities included health counseling, trainings, simulations, practices, and social mapping of the stunting prevention targets. This program was conducted in July to August 2022 in the villages of Pakatto, Je'nemadinging, Pacellekang, and Panaikang. The KKN-PPMUH consisted of stages such as program preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and program reporting. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires are used to evaluate the activities. Based on the results of KKN-PPMUH activities, there was an increase in knowledge and reinforcement of intentions and skills on targets, particularly those about anemia in young women and pregnant women, exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding women, innovation of weaning food (MP-ASI) and stunting prevention food on toddler moms, the behavior of a clean and healthy life (PHBS) in elementary school students, and interpersonal communication (KAP) on posyandu cadres. Besides that, both the fish farming in buckets (Budikdamber) and the planting of moringa activities were done properly. One of the efforts that can be made in early detection and prevention of stunting is through Posyandu activities. The University of Riau real work team took part in community service through routine toddler posyandu activities and conducted research to determine the level of knowledge of mothers of toddlers regarding stunting in Sungai Manau village. This service activity is in line with research which aims to find out and increase mother's knowledge about stunting. This activity uses the health education method for mothers with toddlers on August 9, 2022 at the Posyandu in Sungai Manau village. Through this activity it was found that the majority of mothers' knowledge regarding stunting was in the medium category (57%). During the evaluation, it was found that the majority of mothers could answer questions about stunting correctly. We hope that this service activity could be continued with different interventions such as the use of local food resources to overcome stunting in children.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128952290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The low participation of the mothers of Mamuju Regency in Posyandu activities may be one of the factors causing the high stunting rate in West Sulawesi. The Grebek Stunting activity carried out by the District Health Office of Mamuju in collaboration with the DPD Persagi of West Sulawesi. It aimed to increase D/S coverage for toddlers as a form of early detection of stunting toddlers. This activity was carried out in four stages: preparing, refreshing anthropometric assessment, Grebek Stunting and evaluation. Grebek Stunting was carried out by visiting toddler homes to carry out anthropometric measurements and assess nutritional status. The Grebek Stunting activity involved across sectors and increased D/S coverage to 36.1% from 49.6% in July to 85.7% in August. The involvement of PERSAGI West Sulawesi and cross-sectors can increase the coverage of D/S Posyandu to increase efforts to detect early stunting in toddlers. It is suggested that policy makers can involve cross-sectors in an effort to increase community participation in Posyandu activities.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127698847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The target of the education is 20 mothers of stunted toddlers in the working area of the Wani Community Health Center, and after that, the utilization will be evaluated by household members. The results of this community service are the construction of one toilet facility and education to the community on the importance of toilets. The conclusion is that all household members should not dispose of waste in any place such as in rivers and behind houses as before.
