Various posyandu activities have been carried out, one of the routine activities carried out is anthropometric measurements, but there are still cadres who take measurements in an inappropriate way. This can produce erroneous measurement results, resulting in inaccurate interpretation. The accuracy of anthropometric measurements depends on the ability of cadres to make measurements, so training and assistance is needed in anthropometric measurements with the aim of increasing the knowledge and abilities of cadres in taking anthropometric measurements. The methods used in training and mentoring anthropometric measurements are lecture, discussion, simulation and demonstration methods using Ms. Power Point and various anthropometric measurement tools. Assistance is carried out within two months. Measurement of knowledge is done by giving pre-test and post-test. The activity was carried out with 50 Meteseh Village cadres, Boja, Kendal from June to September 2022. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, 60% of the cadres experienced an increase in knowledge. The results of the observations during the mentoring and evaluation of the participants also showed good results in the training and mentoring activities. suggestions that training and mentoring can be carried out on an ongoing basis to refresh the knowledge and consistency of cadres in making anthropometric measurements.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133198930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rapid spread of Covid-19 requires precautions to prevent transmission to break the chain of the COVID-19 pandemic and be able to face the new normal era. One of the preventive measures is to carry out the movement of washing hands with soap. Sheet soap is used as disposable hand soap and is perfect for use when traveling or doing activities outside the home. Currently, the community has started to carry out offline school and lecture activities. This activity aims to demand awareness to increase activities that are able to prevent the spread of Covid-19. So bringing antiseptic products, both in the form of liquids and sheet soap, is highly recommended to provide comfort in dealing with the new normal conditions after the Covid-19 pandemic. Activity method: This activity is planned to be carried out at the izzati jannah orphanage where the orphanage students have carried out learning activities offline. Activities are carried out following strict health protocols. The counseling activity was attended by 30 orphanage children. Based on the results of the post test, it was obtained a value of 92% of students being able to understand the training material provided. Not all young women know their reproductive organs, let alone their respective functions. By knowing the names of the reproductive organs and their functions, it is hoped that young women will be able to recognize and prepare themselves in the future. Knowing the reproductive organs and their functions also prevents things that shouldn't happen, such as sexual harassment of young women. The aim is to increase students' knowledge about reproductive health by introducing women's reproductive organs and their functions. The method is in the form of counseling which is delivered through power point broadcasts to students of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta, as service partners. Counseling followed by discussion/question and answer lasted for 90 minutes. The number of participants who attended the pretest was 130 people, with an average pretest score of 84.77. During the posttest, 117 people attended with a mean posttest score of 86.67. Thus an increase in posttest scores was obtained compared to pretest, indicating that counseling increased participants' knowledge of the material presented. Suggestions for schools are to carry out similar counseling activities for the following years so that female students understand more about the importance of knowing their reproductive organs.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123954092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, early detection is needed to prevent anemia in young women. This activity aims to identify knowledge about anemia and the incidence of anemia in young women. The targets for this activity were young women at the Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School Lebak Regency. This activity was carried out from August to October 2022. The method used in the intervention was the provision of adolescent nutrition education, Hemoglobin examination and administration of Fe tablets. During monitoring, a haemoglobin check is performed again, and the final evaluation by measuring Hb levels. The activity results showed that the health education provided successfully increased students' knowledge about anemia and its prevention. This program can be seen from the average value (mean), which was initially 46.8 to 73.6 after being given counselling. The incidence of anemia is 46.6%. However, after intervention in the form of counselling in detecting and preventing anemia and administration of Fe tablets consumed every week for two months, it became 10%. So it can be concluded that there was an increase in the score of the knowledge of young students about anemia in detecting and preventing it, and there was a decrease in the incidence of anemia in female students after accompanying the consumption of Fe tablets. It is suggested that female students will be more concerned about early detection and prevention of anemia.","PeriodicalId":306770,"journal":{"name":"Poltekita: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121484242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
