Research using qualitative approach, the type of basic or generic. The results showed that the form action of teacher learning fosters student creativity is creating an environment of psychologi-cal safety and free learning by using a variety of learning methods. Form of action teacher is giving acceptance and trust, provide challenges, provides an opportunity to express and appreciate feelings and thoughts, giving free rein to initiative and work to students. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Research sites were in the Village District of Wates Duwet Kediri. The informants are parents who have children aged 0-6 years. The process of data collection using in-depth interviews, focus groups, participant observation, and documentation. Analysis using the interactive analysis according to Miles & Huberman models. The results of the study are: (1) parental many transformative learning experience in caring for his children; (2) the problems faced by parents in early childhood parenting a child manages a unique character, habituation child, independence training, discipline, and responsibility for the child, the child’s social interaction, self-confident child training, sex education early childhood; (3) the actions of parents in resolving parenting issues early age in the form of awards, advice, warnings, penalties, acquiescence to the child; (4) a transformative impact on parents internally and externally. Key Words : transformative learning, parenting, early childhood, family Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan: (1) gambaran umum transformative learning pada pengasuhan anak usia dini, (2) masalah-masalah yang dihadapi orangtua dalam mengasuh anak usia dini, (3) tindakan-tindakan yang dilakukan orangtua dalam mengatasi masalah pengasuhan anak usia dini melalui transformative learning, (4) dampak transformative learning dalam pengasuhan anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Duwet Kecamatan Wates Kabupaten Kediri. Informan penelitian adalah orangtua yang mempunyai anak usia 0-6 tahun. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, FGD, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan interactive analysis models menurut Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) orangtua banyak mengalami pembela-jaran transformatif dalam mengasuh anak-anaknya; (2) masalah-masalah yang dihadapi orangtua dalam mengasuh anak usia dini berupa mengelola karakter yang unik anak, pembiasaan anak, melatih kemandirian, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab anak, interaksi sosial anak, melatih percaya diri anak, pendidikan seks anak usia dini; (3) tindakan orangtua dalam menyelesaikan masalah pengasuhan anak usia dini berupa pemberian penghargaan, nasihat, peringatan, hukuman, pembiaran kepada anak; (4) dampak transformatif pada orangtua secara internal dan eksternal. This research is a classroom action research. Implementation of the actions carried out in 2 cycles, and each cycle carried out for 4 days. Subjects were third grade students of SDN Pisangcandi 4 Malang, in the first semester of the school year 2013/2014. Data was collected through observation, field notes, interviews, documentation, and testing. The results showed the process and student achievement is increased. Activeness, creativity, student achievement is increased in the cycle 2 than the cycle 1. The research method uses a quantitative approach, analysis of data using exploratory factor analysis and descriptive analysis. The result was the discovery of five influential factors are: situation school factor, the principal, the attention, the schools, and discipline. The most dominant factor affecting low public interest in the Junior High School is a situation school factor. Hasilnya adalah ditemukannya lima faktor yang berpengaruh yaitu: faktor keadaan sekolah, kepala sekolah, perhatian, letak sekolah, dan kedisiplinan. Faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi rendahnya minat masyarakat terhadap SMP Negeri adalah faktor keadaan sekolah. This research practices experimental qu-asi research guidelines by using pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design technique. Subjects of this research are VII A class and VII B of SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. The research instruments used are syllabus, learning plan procedure, and the outcomes of learning test. The research shows that PBL models based on the outdoor study runs well as well as the syntaxes, in which students’ responds are good. There are differences of social science learning outcomes before and after PBL models based on the outdoor study. There are differences between social studies learning outcomes using PBL models based on the outdoor study and conventional model. PBL models based on the outdoor study succeeds well when learning objectives are oriented on affective (attitudes) and psy-comotor (skills). On the other hand, conventional model is better for learning objectives wich are ori-ented on cognitive aspects (knowledge). Key Words : social studies learning outcomes, project based learning models based on the outdoor study, conventional model Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan se-sudah penerapan model Project-Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Outdoor Study serta mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study dengan konvensional pada siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik pretes-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VII A dan VII B SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa silabus, RPP, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study dapat berjalan dengan sangat baik sesuai dengan sintak-sintaknya dan respon siswa menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik juga. Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study. Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study dengan model konvensional. Model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study berhasil dengan baik ketika tujuan pembelajaran berorientasi pada ranah afektif (sikap) dan psikomotor (kete-rampilan). Sedangkan untuk tujuan pembelajaran berorientasi pada ranah kognitif (pengetahuan), model konvensional lebih baik. As an authentic material, drama class in university level should explore students’ competence by providing varied material and activities. The development of a workbook by incorporating character building aspects for drama class in Lambung Mangkurat University is seen important. The workbook is developed by following the result of need assessment and the demand of course competenceof English Department in Lambung Mangkurat University. By involving 20 students of drama class, the research is carried out by following the modified stage of development by Borg and Gall. The result of the development shows that the developed workbook can be categorized as good product from the result of quantitative data in all aspects. Therefore, the workbook can be used as one of the component in teaching in the drama class. Key Words : workbook, english drama, character building Abstrak : Kelas drama terkait dengan pendidikan memberikan pengalaman mental intelektual dalam penguasaan bahasa Inggris dari aspek kebahasaan dan budaya. Sebagai sumber otentik, kelas drama di universitas hendaknya menggali kemampuan siswa dengan memberikan ragam materi dan aktivitas. Pengembangan buku kerja dengan menggabungkan unsur pendidikan karakter bagi mahasiswa kelas drama Inggris di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (UNLAM) adalah penting. Buku kerja ini dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan siswa dan disesuaikan dengan tuntutan pokok bahasan pada kelas drama di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di UNLAM. Dengan melibatkan 20 siswa kelas Drama di program studi Bahasa Inggris FKIP UNLAM, penelitian pengembangan dilakukan dengan mengikuti tahapan modifikasi dari Borg & Gall. The lyric of dolanan song is part of oral folklore, as Java folk poetry that is sung by people. They are some transformations in the use and creation. This study tries to (1) describe the process of transformation of dolanan song, (2) find the pattern of transformation of dolanan song. The research is a qualitative study using etnopuitika. The data of this research are old dolanan song lyric and new dolanan song lyric. The techniques of data collection used for this study are documentation, interviews, and observation. The data analysis begin from form analysis, performance analysis, content analysis, until local colour analysis. The results are (1) the form transformation process: sound, diction,verse, stanza, and they are shown to be a form of appearance of the old songs to new songs, the comparasion of the two shapes of transformation pattern show the changer that eventually shape the form trans-formation, the content transformation process: the general meaning and messages from both old song and new song are coveyed, the comparasion of two shapes of transformation pattern show the changer that eventually shape the content transformation; (2) the pattern of form transformation: strengthening, continuing, modifying, deviating, and rejecting, the pattern of content transformation: strengthening, continuing, modifying, and deviating from convention. Key Words : transformation, dolanan song, form, content, java Abstrak : Tembang dolanan merupakan tembang yang dinyanyikan anak-anak yang disertai kegiatan permainan. Tuturannya digolongkan sebagai karya sastra berbentuk folklor lisan, berjenis puisi rakyat Jawa yang dinyanyikan. Penggunaan dan perkembangannya, mengalami transformasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan proses transformasi tembang dolanan, (2) menemukan pola transformasi tembang dolanan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan etnopuitika. Data berupa tuturan tembang lama dan baru. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis data terdiri analisis bentuk, analisis pentas sastra, analisis isi, dan analisis warna budaya lokalnya. Hasil penelitian berupa temuan (1) proses tranformasi bentuk: bunyi, diksi, larik, bait, dan bentuk penampilan tembang lama dibandingkan dengan yang baru mem-bentuk pola transformasi bentuk, proses transformasi isi: makna secara umum dan pesan tembang lama dibandingkan dengan yang baru membentuk pola transformasi isi; (2) pola transformasi bentuk: menguatkan, meneruskan, mengubah, menyimpang dan menolak, pola transformasi isi: menguatkan, meneruskan, mengubah, dan menyimpang dari konvensi. This research is Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data were gained through field notes, students’ reading achievement and interview guide. The results showed that the implementation of metacognitive strategy improved the students’ skill in reading analytical expository text especially in determining topic sentence, main idea and supporting idea. The result also revealed that using metacognitive strategy could employ the significant improvement of the students’ reading comprehension skills of analytical exposition texts. Key Words : metacognitive strategy, reading comprehension, analytical expository text Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pelaksanaan strategi metakognitif untuk meningkatkan EFL pemahaman bacaan oleh mahasiswa di Jurusan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Timor dalam teks eksposisi analitis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Kolaboratif. Data yang diperoleh melalui catatan lapangan, prestasi membaca siswa dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan strategi metakognitif meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam membaca analitis teks ekspositori terutama dalam menentukan topik kalimat, gagasan utama dan ide pendukung. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan strategi metakognitif dapat meningkatkan dengan signifikan keterampilan pemahaman bacaan oleh siswa tentang teks eksposisi analitis. The results showed that the ability to understand written information students has increased after gaining experience learning through problem-based strategy with group discussion techniques. The increase is due to the emergence of motivation and the interest of students who constructed through problem-based learning strategies with group discussion techniques. The increase in activity caused by the adjustment of learning to students’ needs related to the topic of reading materials used in teaching and habits and learning styles that is performed by the students. Key Words : learning, the content of text, group discussion Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami informasi yang ada dalam bacaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan memahami informasi tertulis siswa telah meningkat setelah mendapatkan pengalaman belajar melalui strategi berbasis masalah dengan teknik diskusi kelompok. Terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas disebabkan munculnya motivasi dan minat siswa yang dibangun melalui strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan teknik diskusi kelompok. Peningkatan aktivitas disebabkan adanya penyesuaian pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan siswa yang berkaitan dengan topik materi bacaan yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan kebiasaan serta gaya belajar yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Subjects in this study amounted to 3 people, which is selected by purposive. Design studies using multiple treatments with ABCD type. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and job sheets. The data obtained is analyzed using graphic visual analysis and descriptive analysis. The results of the study are: in general self-instruction techniques can lower academic stress, and in particular the technique can improve: 1) expression in subjects 1 and 3 subjects after entering the second intervention phase (B). While the subject of 2 may indicate a change, and stable after being on the third intervention phase (D); 2) collect information on the subject since the middle third second intervention (C); and 3) act positively on the subject 1 and subject 2 since entering the first intervention phase (B), while three new subjects may indicate a change, and stable in the mid-third intervention (D). Key Words : academic stress, self-instruction techniques Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) penurunan stres akademik siswa setelah dilakukan intervensi dengan teknik self-instruction; 2) peningkatan kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dalam merubah pikiran, perasaan, dan kodisi fisik yang negatif ketika: a) menyampaikan pendapat; b) mengumpulkan informasi; dan c) melakukan tindakan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 orang, yang dipilih dengan cara Purposive. Desain penelitian menggunakan multiple treatment dengan tipe A-B-C-D. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan: observasi, wawancara, dan lembar tugas, kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisa visual grafis dan analisa deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah secara umum teknik self-instruction dapat menurunkan stres akademik, dan secara khusus teknik ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan: 1) menyampaikan pendapat pada subjek 1 dan subjek 3 setelah memasuki tahap intervensi kedua (B). Sedangkan subjek 2 dapat menunjukkan perubahan, dan stabil setelah berada pada tahap intervensi ketiga (D); 2) mengumpulkan informasi pada ketiga subjek sejak pertengahan intervensi kedua (C); dan 3) bertindak positif pada subjek 1 dan subjek 2 sejak memasuki tahap intervensi pertama (B), sedangkan subjek 3 baru dapat menunjukkan perubahan, dan stabil pada pertengahan intervensi ketiga (D).
