They are often specified using BPMN language. To automate business processes, software specialists specify the information systems that support them with the use of languages like UML. This paper aims to bridge the gap between the organization's business processes and the information systems that support them. It proposes a model-driven development method that automatically generates detailed UML domain models from business process models expressed in BPMN. Our approach is based on business patterns. It consists of three main transformations: the first transformation extracts the process value chain, the second transformation builds UML domain models for each process in the value chain, and the third transformation elaborates the UML models. We developed a proof-of-concept prototype tool using the Eclipse modeling ecosystem. We tested our approach on a set of business processes from the Enterprise Resource Planning literature. The results showed computational feasibility and the conceptual soundness of the approach.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126968557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When entering an EMR system, patients can be treated by many kinds of services and also leave their privacy to the providers. It is a viable method to protect a patient's privacy in EMR by anonymous authentication, where identity of the patient is verified without demonstrating the true identity to the authenticator. This paper proposes an enhanced secure anonymous authentication scheme, based on smart card and biometrics with key agreement. According to security analysis, our scheme is secure against many types of attacks, including those not prevented by previous work, such as the smart card loss attack and impersonation attack. The performance of our scheme is also analyzed and compared with previous work, which shows that our scheme is more efficient in the computation cost.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130104783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the China e-commerce development index and statistical yearbook of China, conditional logistic regression analysis is used to estimate how the e-commerce development level influences location choice of the top 6 foreign retail companies'(RT-Mart, Wal-Mart, Carrefour, Metro, Auchan and Lotus) in China. The results show that the location choice is positively influenced by the e-commerce development level measured by size index, penetration index and supporting index of the development level of e-business respectively. In addition, factors such as the market potential, competition, entry barriers and infrastructure also have significant impact on location choice. This study enhances the knowledge about the effect of e-commerce development level on the behavior of multinational companies, especially on that of retailers in the era of e-commerce.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"11 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130690498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes the FEATURE framework, which recommends product manufacturers with the unique features to be added to the next generation of a product by examining features of (a) related products, (b) competitors' products and (c) product's predecessors. FEATURE differs from existing approaches as it introduces and uses the concept of feature drift to suggest the unique and out-of-the-box features from related products apart from just improving the current features. The recommended features' popularity is investigated using social media and depending on the designer's decision criteria on innovativeness or viability, the features are ranked. The uniqueness of FEATURE is that it can help designers by providing a broader range of ideas to develop novel products.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121562137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Too much information winds right in people's face, and they feel difficult to remember everything properly and hardly find useful information through existing tools. At present, we don't have an intelligent and helpful application for sorting personal belongings or a map application which provides a function for sharing areas. People often waste too much time looking for things. Some existing solutions are very simple and we can't add things conveniently. In this paper, we demonstrate the item-oriented Location-Based Mobile Services (LBMSs), which is a daily itemsorting application based on Bmob Cloud Platform, to solve this problem. Based on the geographical location, we propose a query items algorithm on the cloud computing platform, which plays a vital role in E-business service and application field. We utilize a map-based interface for visualizing the distribution of personal items and sharing information. It can be used as a private memo for recording items in the Photo + Text + Map way. It is also a public community for exchanging useful geolocation information between users. The proposed item-sorting helper is developed with cloud computing techniques, which relies on sharing of resources and focuses on maximizing the effectiveness of the shared resources. Sorting items on cloud is more private and convenient, which provides unlimited capacity and reliable service. Experimental results show that this application can function properly, it will help people sort items efficiently and get location tips in real-time.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116970871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, millions of mobile apps are available, including those dealing with entertainment, news, travel, and social networking. However, apps may behave unstably since users usually use mobile apps in a variety of wireless network conditions. Meanwhile, developers are hard to mix exiting apps to create a new app and users are not able to customize an app based on their preferences. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a component architecture, called MASA (mobile application slice architecture), offering three main features: 1) providing a programming model for building cross-platform UI components, called MAS (mobile application slice), to allow the generation of mobile apps by composing multiple MAS components, 2) furnishing a proposed \"Broadcast\" mechanism with associated APIs to facilitate the data exchange among MAS components, and 3) supplying a relational service caching and prefetching mechanism with associated APIs to allow uninterrupted and even offline access to web services. Meanwhile, we also developed a web-based software tool, called MASA Portal, to assist users in the construction, discovery, and delivery of composite MAS. Quantitative experiment results demonstrate that the proposed MASA approach is able to achieve good scalability when combining a large number of MAS components and shorten service response times using the proposed service prefetch method.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"12 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128283952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, a physical version of \"room escape\" becomes more and more popular, which transforms the playing paradigm from sitting in front of a computer and clicking the mouse into imprisoning people in a real locked room and having people to find clues by their bare hands. To enable a richer user experience while playing the room escape game in the real world, we proposed, in this work, a new type of playing mode by combining the real world environment with virtual world interactions. That is, a mobile application is developed by integrating both bluetooth-based indoor location and augmented reality (AR) techniques, in which people can play the room escape game with their mobile devices to interact with real world objects within virtual world actions.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124568954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These opinionated comments provide firms with unprecedented opportunities to tap into the collective consumer intelligence for enhancing marketing, product design, and other vital business functions. The main contribution of our research work is the design of a novel social media analytics framework on top of Apache Spark for predicting and visualizing consumers' opinion orientations based on their relationships with other consumers whose opinion orientations are known. In particular, we explore state-of-the-art collective classification (CC) algorithms for predicting consumers' opinion orientations. Based on real-world data collected from Sina Weibo, our experiments show that the proposed Gibbs sampling based CC algorithms which consider both a user's local features and their relational features outperform another approach that considers relational features alone.","PeriodicalId":305614,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 13th International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127808074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
