Although farmers have developed and keep developing coping strategies by innovating to accommodate the negative impact of this quadruple insecurity, little is relatively known how agricultural innovations and its impact on farmers’ welfare in changing climate are poorly understood. Based on previous studies and Survey amongst farmers, twenty four agricultural innovations have identified and included in this research. The experimental design popularly called complete block design was used to collect data from 436 farmers randomly selected. For each question, farmers were asked to choose his eight best and his eight worst agricultural innovations in changing climate. This repeated process is consistent with random utility, which is deeply rooted in microeconomic theory. Count-based method and multinomial logit were used to fit the data. Results indicate that rainfed rice production, saving and credit scheme for rural women, Maradi red goat breeding, processing peanuts into oil and cake, planting trees for land recovering, using of annual and perennial crops for cattle fattening, manufacturing handicrafts with local perennial crops, honey harvesting via improved beehives, cheese making are the most important agricultural innovations that farmers would prefer to implement in changing climate. Income and Animal-based agricultural innovations are more welfare enhancing. The findings of this research may be used to promote and achieve the United Nations sustainable development goals by planning changes and thereby improving the food security and local farmer’s welfare in the study area and beyond.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42546081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is important to study the issue of investment efficiency when one considers that it is categorized as being poor in Indonesia compared to the average investment efficiency of other ASEAN countries. Meanwhile, research on investment efficiency in Indonesia has yielded inconsistent results. This research is expected to be of benefit to the making of optimal investment decisions—that is to say, neither overinvestment nor underinvestment—in order to improve investment efficiency in Indonesia. This study is piece of archival research that determines its sample using a purposive sampling technique. The test results and analysis will use multiple regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results of this study indicate that CSR and GCG disclosures have a positive effect on investment efficiency and the quality of financial reports can strengthen the influence of CSR and GCG disclosures on investment efficiency.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49543321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proportion of the agricultural sector is quite large (IDR. 39,775,875 million), namely 17.19% of the total output, which is higher than the output of other economic sectors, except for the manufacturing sector. Its ability to play a role in the economy can be seen from the size of its contribution to GRDP and its linkages with other sectors. This study aims to estimate the magnitude of the role of the agricultural sector in the economy. The analysis uses the Leontief Multiplier after collecting 42 sectors into 17 sectors and 23 sectors in the 2016-2021 Central Kalimantan Input-Output Table is completed. The results of the study, the agricultural sector plays a more domestically oriented sector from the output side, while it has less role (non-domestic basis) from the input side compared to other sectors. Nevertheless, to support Central Kalimantan Province as one of the national agricultural development centers, the injection of increased investment in this sector still needs to be implemented. Investment in the plantation sub-sector could be one of the other priorities, and it is suggested to the private sector to boost economic growth further.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42622036","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is limited information available about the pests and diseases affecting these vegetables. To address this, a study was conducted to investigate and identify the presence of natural enemies such as parasites and predators, as well as to assess the dominance of arthropods and the occurrence of diseases. The parameters studies included the symptoms of pest and disease attacks, the dominance index and incidence of diseases, and the order and family classifications of arthropods, based on the morphology of pests, parasites, and predators, respectively. Results revealed that the arthropods identified were composed of 8 orders, 36 families and 660 individuals. The predator population was found to be 94.46% on the soil surface, while the population of nocturnal insects was 74.19%. The presence of pests was predominantly found on the canopy, accounting for 92.83%. The arthropod dominance index was categorized as high, with values of 0.58 and 0.75, dominated by yellow mites (Tarsonemidae) and weaver ants (Formicidae). On the other hand, the dominance index of nocturnal insects was only 0.15. The disease incidence of Solanum ferox caused by Colletotrichum sp was 5%, lower than that observed in Helminthostachys zeylanica , Allium schoenoprasum , and Ceratopteris thalictroides caused by Curvularia sp (45.8%), but still considered to be in the non-hazardous category.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47998753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Purun and water hyacinth plants are micro-enterprise products that still exist to be cultivated by the people of Hulu Sungai Utara. However, the development of micro and small businesses faces problems that can disrupt the performance of micro and small businesses. The performance and success of micro businesses are influenced by various factors (internal and external). One of the internal factors that affect the performance of micro-enterprises is human capital and social capital; on the other hand, external factors that affect the performance of micro-enterprises are the role of the government (empowerment). The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of social capital on the performance of micro-enterprises, analyze the effect of human capital on micro-business performance, analyze the effect of empowerment on the performance of micro-enterprises, and analyze the effect of empowerment on social capital, and human capital on the performance of Purun and water hyacinth woven micro-enterprises in Hulu Sungai Utara District. The research was conducted in Hulu Sungai Utara District from February 2023 to May 2023. The micro-business samples in this study are micro-business actors who produce woven products (Purun and water hyacinth woven). The research sampling technique is non-probability sampling using a census technique with a sample size of 70 respondents. The data analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. Social capital does not significantly affect the performance of micro businesses. Social capital is reflected through cooperation, trust, and participation. It is due to the condition of the social capital of artisans who tend to be oriented towards maintaining good relations among woven artisans with suppliers of raw materials and collectors. Human capital has a positive and significant influence on business performance. Human capital is reflected through skills and knowledge. It shows that better skills and knowledge of artisans increase their business performance. Empowerment has no significant effect on business performance. It is because empowerment is still not continuous and has yet to be entirely directed to take advantage of business opportunities through empowerment programs.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41935624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, it is interesting to explore the many tourist attractions. A tour taking the optimal route can, of course, provide efficiency in terms of distance and travel time while also providing a quality experience to the traveler. Ignoring these factors can lead to a failed trip. To determine the optimal route, we spread a questionnaire to travelers (n = 507) and obtained their preferences when traveling to be used in designing the optimum route. We present two scenarios in this paper for comparison: the first is the common way tourists determine travel routes, and the second uses a genetic algorithm approach. We found that determining the optimal route of travel using methods of genetic algorithms can shorten the total travel distance of tourists by 68.8 kilometers (29.20%), reduce the travel time by 137.60 minutes (8.87%), and at the same time maintain tourist preferences during their tour. We also propose efforts to improve the optimization of cultural tourist travel routes, focusing on the travel aspects between tourist destinations and on the aspects of the tourist destination itself.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41877844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
