The architecture of modern mobile phones is based on the principle of \"one band – one filter\". The use of tunable SAW filters could significantly simplify the architecture of the radio frequency part of mobile phones, replacing both bandpass filters with fixed parameters and switches. This replacement will reduce the total number of components, the cost, and the space required for placement. However, despite all efforts, it is not yet possible to develop tunable SAW filters with the required characteristics. The article analyzes the problems associated with development. It is demonstrated that the light and acoustic beam propagation along the directions related to these points is identified with the simplest diffraction catastrophes. The possibility of transformation of one type of catastrophes to another in the presence of small disturbance is established. To illustrate this, we show an example of removing the degeneracy of phase velocities along the optical (acoustic) axis in a gyrotropic crystal and transforming a diffraction catastrophe, consisting in the correspondence of one wave normal to the whole cone of rays, into a diffraction catastrophe of the fold. The latter is characterized by the formation of sharp edges and the allocation of an additional sub-surface on the ray surface. This principle is based on the contactless optical spectroscopy methods. A characteristic feature of the proposed principle is the forming of a set of error signals based on the results of spectroscopic measurements of radiation emitted as a result flowing these processes. It makes it possible to automatically control several controlled parameters (formed in different parts of the analyzed spectrum), as well as their totality, and quickly change the control criteria. The analysis of error signal forming based on spectral measurement by multichannel optical spectrometer is given. However, the necessary amplitude-phase distribution (APD) on the antenna leads not only to a decrease in the side lobes, but also to an asymmetry of the shape of the target direction finding characteristic (DFC) and its inverse function (IDFC).
