Abstract
The use of a phased array antenna (FAR) with an asymmetric total antenna pattern (AP) with a reduced level of side lobes in the lower half-sphere in the mode of building of weather map and direction finding of air point targets is an actual way to minimize parasitic response radiation from the earth's surface. However, the necessary amplitude-phase distribution (APD) on the antenna leads not only to a decrease in the side lobes, but also to an asymmetry of the shape of the target direction finding characteristic (DFC) and its inverse function (IDFC). This work is devoted to the search for optimal (in the sense of the proposed criteria) APD parameters and the analysis of features of measuring the angular coordinates of point targets with asymmetric DFC and IDFC.
