It has been found that Unity inverse kinematics solvers do not offer functionality necessary to apply anatomically correct animation to a humanoid agent. A few inverse kinematics algorithms were chosen for comparison, such as Cyclic Coordinate Descent, FABRIK and triangulation; due to the support of multiple end effectors and possible optimizations, FABRIK was chosen to be implemented in the “FABRIK IK” solver. After comparing the functionality of “FABRIK IK” to Unity’s “Two Bone IK” and “Chain IK” solvers, it was found that “FABRIK IK” has more built-in functionality than “Two Bone IK” and “Chain IK” in the analyzed areas. The measurement of framerate has shown that the application of either solver has not posed a significant difference in performance on Unity (the difference in performance ranges from –8.29% to 5.89%). The visual demonstration that shows the application of “FABRIK IK” demonstrates an anatomically sound and accurate walking cycle, especially compared to “Chain IK”; the accuracy of the animation is comparable to “Two Bone IK”.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79635628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attacks, configuration mistakes, and other factors can cause network increased accessibility and as a result danger for data privacy. Analyzing network flow and their single packets can be helpful for anomalies detection. Well-known network equipment has predeveloped network flow monitoring software. “NetFlow” data collector software “Nfsen” is an open-source way to collect information from agents. Also “Nfsen” is designed for data sorting and dataset for instruction detection system preparation. Prepared data can be split into fragments for artificial intelligent learning and testing. As AI unit can be used multilayer perceptron developed in a python programming language. This paper focused on real-world traffic dataset collection and multilayer perceptron deployment for TCP flood traffic detection.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75549351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, even with significant progress, Lithuania has 53 deaths per 1 million inhabitants and Lithuania is still behind the EU average, which was 45 deaths per 1 million inhabitants in 2021. The purpose of this study is to determine the dynamics of deaths on Lithuanian roads in 2019–2021 using statistical methods and to systematically assess the causes of fatal traffic accidents. Also to propose factors (criteria) that would allow to improve the traffic safety situation in Lithuania and reach the average of European Union countries. The study carried out an analysis of traffic accidents in which people died on Lithuanian roads in 2019–2021. The dynamics of the distribution of events according to their causes during the studied period were analysed. It was established that the most important causes of fatal traffic accidents in Lithuania are related to inappropriate behaviour of drivers and pedestrians. This is driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding the speed limit, or driving at an unsafe speed. Also, inadequate, or unsafe infrastructure and poor technical condition of vehicles have a significant impact on fatal traffic accidents. After analysing the results of other scientists’ research, evaluating the experience of other countries, a list of measures (actions) divided into 3 groups was created. The use of these measures would further reduce the number of incidents in Lithuania. In future studies, it is planned to determine the importance of the presented factors based on the opinion of experts.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"236 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80348962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A model for creating such sequences is also presented, inspired by a similar model for adventure video games. Five adventure video games were analysed to create this model. The created application has several advantages over real-life presentations: 1) the user does not physically have to appear at the location of the presentation, 2) the user can stop and start the presentation at a convenient time, and 3) the application may be more engaging than a recording of a real-life presentation.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81868837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Globalization offers opportunities for various integration processes in the regions, one of which is the consolidation process. Mergers and acquisitions banking is one of the means for banks to consolidate their processes, to manage their resources more efficiently, to gain a more competitive advantage and increase their profits by entering foreign capital markets. The ongoing consolidation processes in the banking sector are affecting economic growth and stability, and with the constant changes of the global economic climate, the banking sector is adapting, hence it is important to assess the factors behind the consolidation process and identify further developments in bank consolidation. In the article the following tasks were to be accomplished: 1) based on the analysis of the scientific literature, to identify the factors and reasons that promote the consolidation process, the execution of mergers and acquisitions in a global environment; 2) to perform a comparative analysis of the ratio of the share price and the value of tangible assets of banks of different regions engaged in mergers and acquisitions; 3) after evaluating the results of the comparative analysis, indicate further directions for mergers and acquisitions in different regions. After accomplishing the specified tasks, the most important factors were identified, which were attributed to internal and external motives, and the possibilities for consolidation processes in the banking regions were presented. The following research methods are used in the article – analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis, analysis and evaluation of financial statements.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76659962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s most widespread real estate impact assessment method and certification standard. In BREEAM certification the evaluation of health and quality of life in buildings, construction materials, innovation, economic and social responsibility, energy, water management, ecology, and pollution must be done. For collection of the precise data the Building Information Modelling (BIM) was used as a tool. BIM is increasingly used in the world not only for design but also for the entire life cycle management of the building. The BIM application ensures efficient use of resources and smoother construction management. This article explores the application of BIM technologies in BREEAM certification, identifying potential benefits and limitations.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84295101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different author’s experimental studies of the thin-walled built-up cross-sections of various lengths and shapes have been reviewed. The cross-section of the thin-walled built-up columns is assembled by connecting two or more profiles at their webs or flanges. The cross-section can be assembled indirectly – by using intermediate plates. The connections of the profiles and plates can be self-drilling screws, bolts, rivets or welds. The step of the thin-walled profile connections has an impact to the load bearing resistance of the cross-section. The increase to the load bearing capacity of the cross-section can be up to 16% when profiles without stiffeners are connected with a smaller connection step. The effect to the load bearing resistance of the decrease of the connection step length of the thin-walled cross-sections made of profiles with stiffeners was insignificant and sometimes unfavourable. Different cross-sections were analysed, and their effectiveness was compared. The more effective were cross-sections with a higher cross-section height and width, assembled of profiles with web and flange stiffeners. The ratio of the strength of the axial compression to the cross-section area of the built-up columns can be up to 80% higher when built-up cross-section is assembled using profiles with stiffeners, compared to the built-up cross-sections assembled using profiles without stiffeners.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89592589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
