It is more important than ever for companies to bring new products to market in less time and periodically. This article examines the Lithuanian cosmetics industry and what difficulties a company face when introducing a new product to the market. The cosmetics industry in Lithuania is reviewed and the product development process is analyzed. Identify the factors of a successful product and the relationship between them. The paper presents the results of the surveyed companies involved in the development of cosmetics industry products. The reasons and key factors influencing product success are identified. Based on the results of the study, a model for the development of new products for the cosmetics industry is presented and conclusions and suggestions are presented.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87919014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be lowering product cost, manufacturing and delivering faster than competitors or being flexible when producing different quantities of different products for different customers. Most popular instruments that help companies to reach previously mentioned competitive advantages are implementing Lean Manufacturing strategies or ERP systems into their production systems. The way of using these systems might become the main indicator of companies’ success in the future. This research aims to create a guideline for integrating ERP system into Lean Manufacturing system. It focuses on the manufacturing companies that are already using such a system and can share their good and bad experiences. To reach this aim, the scientific literature is being analyzed by retrieving the CSFs for such an integration process. Using these CSFs, the relation between them and the positive outcomes of the integration process is established and tested using an online survey. The results of the survey are processed using empirical methods. Moreover, the research methodology for evaluating the ERP system integration into Lean Manufacturing level is established and tested in three case analyses.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"330 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76574256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Features of 3D printing of biocompatible materials are analyzed. In this work, mechanical bending tests of three printed samples were performed. Based on test results, PETG material is selected for 3D modeling and printing. Technological properties of 3D printing were summarized. Modeling and printing of the orthoses prototype, compared to traditional methods, takes less time, and uses lower material costs, does not require much physical effort, is well suited to the patient’s body anatomy, and has a variety of design options.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"4 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82872934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart technologies, which are discussed in the article, can be used to make facilities management more efficient. Facility managment can also be facilitated by a mobile app, the operating principles of which are described in the example in the article. During the research was interviewed by specialists of one facility management company. The analysis of the survey results allows us to conclude that facility management companies that provide their services in Vilnius use smart technologies, caste helps to perform facility managment services more efficiently.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"7 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79691362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is no uniform methodology to compare the mechanical characteristics of different reinforcement systems. In structural systems, residual stiffness can estimate the efficiency of the reinforcement. This study introduces a simplified approach for the flexural stiffness analysis. It employs a new testing layout designed with the purpose to form multiple cracks in a small laboratory specimen. The achieved solution requires neither iterative calculations nor a description of the loading history. Several composite reinforcement schemes, including internal glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars, carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and near-surface mounted (NSM) strips are considered. The analysis of the test results reveals a substantial efficiency of the external CFRP reinforcement systems.","PeriodicalId":30324,"journal":{"name":"Mokslas Lietuvos Ateitis","volume":"202 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80230749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
