Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la fluorosis dental y el tipo de pasta dental utilizado en niños que asisten a una clínica odontológica de Jaén, 2023. Métodos: Diseño transversal analítico en una muestra de 207 niños de 6 a 11 años. La fluorosis se midió utilizando el Índice de Dean, y las características sociodemográficas y de hábitos de higiene oral mediante un cuestionario. Resultados: El 87 % de niños presentó algún nivel de fluorosis, donde el “muy leve” fue el másfrecuente (38,2 %), seguido del “cuestionable” (24,6 %). El “Colgate triple acción” (13,0 %, flúor: 1 450 ppm) y Dentito® Chicle Globo (13,0 %; flúor: 550 ppm) fueron las pastas dentales más utilizadas. Los niños tuvieron una mediana de ocho años, sexo femenino 50,7 %, predominio de estado nutricional normal (73,9 %); todos tenían el hábito de cepillarse y con una frecuencia predominante de tresveces al día (92,3 %). La fluorosis dental estuvo relacionado a la pasta dental (p=0,001), donde los niños que utilizaban pastas dentales con la mayor concentración de flúor (1 450 ppm a 1 500 ppm), tuvieron 29 % más probabilidad de presentar fluorosis dental, respecto a aquellos que utilizaban pastas con menor concentración (p=0,002; RPa=1,29; IC95% = 1,10 - 1,53). Conclusión: La fluorosis dental es muy frecuente en la población estudio y relacionada al tipo de pasta dental utilizada.","PeriodicalId":302638,"journal":{"name":"Revista Experiencia en Medicina del Hospital Regional Lambayeque","volume":"22 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140753690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Determine the causes and characteristics associated with the deferral of applicants to blood donors at the Hospital Regional Lambayeque, January to March 2020. Material and methods. A retrospective, analytical, observational study was conducted in 2,770 blood donor applicants at the Hospital Regional Lambayeque. The study was census. The data was collected using the documentation technique of the blood bank service applicant's selection record. Results. The study population had a mean age of 33 years (SD = 9.8) and was characterized by the predominance of the male sex (71.1%), replacement donation (90.5%), Peruvian nationality (99.6%) and origin from the Lambayeque region (81.2%). A 35.0% delay was observed, the main causes being low hematocrit (17.7%), reactive screening (10.8%), recent partner (10.2%), high blood pressure (9, 0%) and difficult venous access (8.8%). Likewise, regarding the bivariate analysis, age between 45 and 60 years (p = 0.002), female sex (p <0.001) and type of replacement donation (p = 0.008), were associated with the higher frequency of deferral. Conclusions. Almost four out of every 10 applicants to blood donors at the Hospital Regional Lambayeque during January to March 2020, were deferred for biological, clinical and behavioral reasons; likewise, the deferral was associated with age, sex and type of donor.","PeriodicalId":302638,"journal":{"name":"Revista Experiencia en Medicina del Hospital Regional Lambayeque","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124803640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reliability test of the instrumentswas: Cronbach’s alpha of 0.913 and the Kuder-Richardson’s test of 0.955. Spearman’s Rho correlationcoefficient was used. Results: The age group (18 to 29 years) and the male sex predominated(84%). The 73% of the organizational climate is in a position to improve, among its most frequentdimensions were: Innovation 88.8% and Comfort 82.5%. With respect to labor productivity, 80.4%indicate the disposition of a staff that has is qualified for responsible jobs, they identify with theachievement of quantitative objectives and operational goals. The correlation between organizationclimate and work productivity in its three dimensions (human potential, organizational designand culture) was positive.
