Si bien existen diversos estudios que registran el uso medicinal de las plantas, aún quedan áreas geográficas y culturas autóctonas con escasa o nula información. Este es el caso de la Región Tének o Huasteca ubicada al noreste del Estado, que a pesar de la gran tradición que han tenido como médicos tradicionales y conocedores de la herbolaria, el acercamiento a esta etnia ha sido casi nulo en este rublo. El objetivo de esta investigación es contribuir al conocimiento de la cultura Tének de Veracruz, a través de la documentación de la herbolaria tradicional en la comunidad de San Francisco, del Municipio de Chontla. Mediante entrevistas abiertas y semiestructuradas a los tres médicos tradicionales (MT) de mayor prestigio en la comunidad, se documentó el uso de las especies medicinales utilizadas por ellos, con base a la demanda de atención de los pobladores. A través de recorridos en compañía de los MT, se recolectaron las especies en campo e identificaron botánicamente. De prestigious and recognized Traditional Herbalist (TH). With the support of this TH we collected and identify botanical specimens on the field. Of the six species that all the three TH mentioned, we collected the 10% of the knowledge of the population about them (we did it establishing ranges of ages). Also, we determined the cultural significance due to a fidelity index (FI), which includes the priority range (PR) and the relative popularity (RP). What´s more, the value index for the use of morphologic structures of the used plants was calculated. A total of 97 medicinal species (in which 53 families and 84 genders are included) were documented. It was found about 8 new botanical records on the Medicinal Flora of the State of Veracruz. We can conclude that the research document and probe the importance and knowledge generated through the management and use of the medicinal plants in the Tének community of San Francisco Chontla, Veracruz.","PeriodicalId":30046,"journal":{"name":"Polibotanica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47358920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A BSTRACT : Blackberries ( Rubus spp) are a genetic resource that develops in mountainous areas of Mexico and are adapted to different climatic conditions, however, in Mexico there is no information for their use or in research programs. The objective of the present investigation was to determine the richness, distribution and diversity of wild blackberry species from the records of occurrence. The Worldclim database was used to know the climatic variables that determine its distribution. The echogeographic information was obtained from the REMIB-CONABIO database, which was submitted to the DIVA-GIS® 7.5 BIOCLIM algorithm. The information was analyzed by principal components and multiple correspondences. Results show that 42 blackberry species are found in Mexico and were distributed in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Axis and Sierra Madre del Sur. Chiapas, Veracruz, the State of Mexico and Hidalgo presented greater richness (number of species present), while Chiapas and Veracruz presented greater diversity (percentage of each species with respect to the total number of species present). The minimum temperature and annual precipitation determine the potential distribution zones of blackberries. 51.9% of the blackberry species presented differences between species in relation to climatic requirements.","PeriodicalId":30046,"journal":{"name":"Polibotanica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48365981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, 38 specimens were registered, which represent the nomenclatural types of 36 species names, a variety and a form of plants belonging to angiosperms and a fern. The following data are indicated for each taxon: scientific name, author (s), basinonyms (if applicable), journal where the specimen was cited or the species was described, country, state, municipality (where appropriate), locality, habitat, altitude where it was collected, date of collection, collector (s) and collection number; in addition to the class of the corresponding nomenclatural type. 37 isotypes, a holotype and a lectotype were detected. The Bromeliaceae and Dioscoreaceae families stand out. Most of the type specimens in the CODAGEM herbarium were identified prior to this work, but the review of the collection allowed us to find two new types: in Acanthaceae an isotype of Justicia matudae T. F. Daniel and in Asparagaceae a lectotype of Manfreda malinaltenangensis Matuda. The complete leaves were cleared and colored with safranin and methylene blue and photographed, describing and illustrating the second, third and fourth category venation patterns The number of secondary veins in the leaf blade, the presence or absence of glands in the margins or trichomes in the lamina and the types of stomata, were characters that made possible the differentiation of the studied species.
