Bourreria ritovegana (Ehretiaceae, Boraginales), una especie nueva de Sinaloa, México

Abstract

endemic to Sinaloa belonging to B. spathulata -species group, is described as new for science. This novel species is similar in foliar and some floral traits to B. spathulata and B. rubra , but differs from both by qualitative and quantitative characters ( e.g. size and shape of calyx and corolla, and length of pedicels), in addition to its northernmost distribution. A dichotomous key is presented for the species in the B. spathulata -group, as well as a comparative chart and photographs with related species.
