Viewing and managing data from various type and format poses a great difficulty for engineering designers. In order to solve these difficulties, we propose an intelligent interface system for handling heterogeneous design data. The intelligent interface system can understand and integrate data from heterogeneous data files. Data of different type and format can be specified, presented and managed in a unified way. From our system implementation we can conclude that our approach can greatly improve production efficiency of engineering designers.","PeriodicalId":299461,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Education Technology and Computer","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124619629","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This module consists of various classroom activities that are all centered around an assignment in which students prepare a talk in order to explain a technical topic of their choosing to a non-technical audience. The entire experience culminates in a one-day conference attended by local high school students who serve as a live non-technical target audience for these talks. Here, we describe and discuss the various components of the module, with the hope that fellow practitioners will adopt and adapt the module for use in their home institution, and suggest modifications and improvements.","PeriodicalId":299461,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Education Technology and Computer","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124624322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The result of batch testing showed that the adsorption of Cr(VI) onto landfill liner-soil material decreases dramatically with the increasing of the pH values. However, the initial rapid drcease in adsorption capacity moderates as the landfill leachate pH exceeds neutral. The relationship between of adsorption parameter (Qm, b) and landfill leachate pH values is linear. The numerical model of pollutants transport was developed, and Cr(VI) migration law through landfill liner was predicted by the model. The result of numerical simulation showed that Cr(VI) migration is influenced obviously by landfill leachate pH values. Hence, landfill leachate pH values must be considered in numerical simulation of pollutants transport.","PeriodicalId":299461,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Education Technology and Computer","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129679244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, the previous consistency control approaches can be classified into two categories: causal order and time stamped order. However, causal order approaches can merely preserve the cause-effect relation of events and time stamped order approaches seem intrinsically complex to be used in serverless large-scale asynchronous DVEs. In this paper, we proposed a novel distributed algorithm to identify the concurrent events and preserve the consistent order delivery of them at different nodes. Simulation studies are also carried out to compare the performance of this algorithm with that of the previous ones. The results show that the new algorithm can effectively deliver the concurrent events in consistent order at each node and is more efficient than the previous algorithms in large-scale asynchronous DVEs.","PeriodicalId":299461,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Education Technology and Computer","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130054393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
