First of all, software-centric in-network functions, such as identifier and locator separation, network model, and etc. motivated from MOFI, can be implemented and managed by SDN. Concretely these functions are realized in specific MOFI entities and functions such as ARs and GWs, since SDN enables easy management to be instantiated dynamically by logically centralized controller, and these functions can be easily utilized in two different ways. First is that these functions are installed to real entities as non-virtualization manner. Secondly these functions can be easily implemented as virtual machine, so that virtual in-network functions can be easily deployed to new networks on-demand. To verify the in-network functions, this paper presents two evolving architectures by applying in-network functions such as the domain based internetworking architecture and future datacenter network architecture.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"154 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125374770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A service platform supports developers to create and mashup applications by combining components of existing applications and web services. In this paper, we use mashlet that is the basic component of mashup application that implements a specific functionality. In this paper, we propose the service platform provides the user schedule based applications recommendation including mashlets. It extracts the events from user schedules and estimates intents by event type classification. And, it recommends the mashlets matched with intents. Thus, the useful mashlet recommendation can enhance the availability of applications or mashlets. Also we develop the schedule applications and mashlets that show our platform features. As our platform uses schedules that can connect to user actions, and suggests the more useful applications to comply with user's need, without search and download of applications.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129422326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the recent investigations Block ACK protocol is the most efficient among them. However, it requires polling to each of the multicast group member which may cause significant overhead in the scenarios with large group size. Compared to the polling based Block ACK protocol the scheduled Block ACK protocol does not require individual polling to each group member. In this paper we compare two protocols in terms of scalability, achievable throughput, and delay in various scenarios. In addition, we introduce a frame error based RTS/CTS protection scheme which improves the performance of both schemes in hidden node scenarios. Performance evaluations show that the proposed protection scheme significantly alleviates the hidden node problem in scheduled Block ACK protocol.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124605069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A wireless AP which is used in our algorithm checks its own original coverage periodically for whether there is a new MN or not when its transmission power is decreased. Moreover, if there is no signaling message to connect the wireless AP, it changes its operation mode wake-up to sleep. A numerical result shows that the proposed AP algorithm can reduce the total power consumption of the wireless AP approximated 17% by turning off the wireless AP when there is no MNs and adaptively altering the transmission power level when an MN is detected by receiving response during the listen state.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125996651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is efficient to centralize such content in a server and deliver it over a wide-area network if content is to be transmitted over a wide area and over a long distance. However, this method incurs a high ratio of overhead if the target is limited to a small area. This paper proposes a method of delivering content to a specific area via traveling mobile nodes using forwarding knowledge that is based on location information of receiving terminals. Specifically, a covered area is defined for each traveling mobile node as its forwarding knowledge, and traveling mobile nodes forward content towards the destination by selecting a node whose covered area is closer to the destination than their covered areas. We have developed an opportunistic network emulator, implemented the proposed method in it, and evaluated the proposed method by comparing it with epidemic routing in terms of arrival rate and delay time.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126260544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
