To enhance the capacity, many APs are installed in various places. Because of multiple APs are deployed in unplanned situation, interference between basic service set (BSS) is increased. To reduce the overlapped BSS (OBSS) interference of IEEE 802.11ac interfering broadcasting network, we suggest two cooperative transmission schemes which are interference alignment (IA) and multi-user multi-input and multi-output (MU-MIMO) with time division multiple access (TDMA). We can simultaneously transmit the data in the same time and frequency with IA, however, the required overhead of transmission for IA is considerably high. However, MU-MIMO with TDMA scheme needs lower overhead than IA because only channel state information (CSI) feedback of a desired link from AP to STA and AP Poll transmission which decides the timely transmission order for MU-MIMO with TDMA. Even though there are a few feedback quantity for MU-MIMO with TDMA, the average throughput will be reduced because the data should be transmitted by dividing the time. Therefore, we have observed the average throughput between IA and MU-MIMO with TDMA in IEEE 802.11ac interfering downlink network. And we also compare the performance between two cooperative downlink transmission schemes.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116649094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have defined four different scheduled time periods to access to the control channel which is called a phase. Each sync interval has four phases, and each phase has a listen period and access period. In our mechanism some nodes are in listen period, some are in access period so that it allows all channels can be used all the time. In the simulation study we show that the proposed approach can increase service channel utilization and reduce the collisions in control channel. Especially, our method will be very effective for slow motion and high density VANET networks.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134162004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The transmission link always bursts into errors, which makes the head packet fail to be transmitted. This paper gives the fact that choosing the queue with bad error link to transmit the packet will bring about the Head Of Line (HOL) problem: the blocked head packet would make the rest postpone to be sent The HOL problem occurs frequently because of the unstable state of the link. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithms can remove the packets from the bottleneck node and can improve the throughput of the networks.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133874557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to new features of RF energy harvesting and transfer, the resource allocation problem becomes more challenging, which has to take the RF energy supply into consideration. The resource allocation schemes developed for traditional wireless networks are no longer applicable due to asymmetric features (e.g., doubly near-far problem). In this article, we highlight beamforming and stochastic optimization techniques to address the asymmetric features in wireless powered communication networks (WPCNs). These studies lead to the novel design methodology to understand and optimize new types of the WPCNs. Nevertheless, the methodology is implementable in an actual network, where the prototype and system can be developed to demonstrate the feasibility and the success of using the beamforming and stochastic optimization techniques in solving the crucial issues in the WPCNs.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124548389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Network coding as hierarchical network coding (HNC) provides unequal erasure protection for scalable layers and addresses the process of decoding layer by layer from higher to less importance. Similar with that scheme, expanding window fountain (EWF) code is designed for flexible and efficient solution of real-time scalable video multicast. In this paper, we investigate the performance of EWF coding and HNC for scalable video coding over lossy packet networks. The experimental results show that EWF coding achieves better performance than HNC in both good and bad channels.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117336226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
