Data were gathered from 452 members of the Gen-Z cohort who at the time of data collection, were actively enrolled in Osun State-owned tertiary institutions. Data analysis was performed with the aid of a structural equation model. The study establishes that financial behavior (FB) has a positive and significant link to savings decisions (SD) but has no significant effect on impulsive buying. It was also confirmed that materialism (ML) has an inverse relationship with savings but has a positive and significant influence on impulsiveness. The study also reveals that impulsive buying has no significant influence on savings decisions. In addition, it was affirmed that impulsive buying did not mediate between financial behavior, materialism, and savings decision. Consequently, the study recommends that education regulatory authorities should persuade all tertiary institutions in the country to integrate financial education as a compulsory part of the school curriculum at all levels. This will go a long way to improve Gen-Z’s financial wellbeing such as purchase decisions, spending self-control, cash management, savings and investment, rational decision-making and solvency, and self-predictions. Specifically, the study determined the extent to which training of tax personnel influences internally generated revenue. A purposive technique was used to select all three hundred and twenty (320) State Board of Internal Revenue Service (SBIR) and its area offices. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire with the aid of two research assistants. Data analysis was performed with the aid of percentages, and mean, Chi-Square, and Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method of estimation. The result revealed that training of tax personnel influences internally generated revenue. This suggests that training of tax staff improves the performance of tax collectors by developing the latest tax collection skills. Consequently, the study recommended that the State government should continually empower the State Board of Internal Revenue Service to train its staff with modern device, and also the State Board of Internal Revenue Service should increase its services to promote voluntary compliance in the state. K.","doi":"10.58314/907890","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.58314/907890","url":null,"abstract":"Agriculture production is directly dependent on climate change and weather. Climate change can bring positive and negative effects on Indian agriculture, India’s agriculture is more dependent on monsoon from the ancient periods. Any change in monsoon trend drastically affects agriculture. Even the increasing temperature is affecting the Indian agriculture. The term “weather” refers to the short-term (daily) changes in temperature, wind, and/or rainfall of a region. In the long run, the climatic change could affect agriculture in several ways such as quantity and quality of crops in terms of productivity, growth rates, photosynthesis and transpiration taxes, wetness accessibility etc. Climate change is likely to directly impact food production across the globe. Increase in the mean seasonal temperature can reduce the duration of many crops and hence reduce the yield. In areas where temperatures are already close to the physiological maxima for crops, warming will impact produces more immediately. Motorists of climate change through alterations in atmospheric arrangement can also influence food production directly by its impacts on plant physiology. The consequences of agriculture’s contribution to climate change, and of climate change’s negative impact on agriculture, are severe which is projected to have a great impact on food production and may threaten the food security and hence, need special agricultural measures to struggle with. In the Indo-Gangetic Plain, these pre monsoon changes will primarily affect the wheat crop (>0.5oC increase in time slice 2010-2039). In the states of Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh alone, rice production losses during severe deficiencies (about one year in five) average about 40% of total production, with an estimated value of $800 million. The entrenchment of human rights provisions in Nigeria’s constitutions was aimed at creating a society where there is political freedom, social and economic wellbeing of the people. But despite the guarantee of fundamental rights and liberties in the Nigerian constitutions, the country has had the misfortune of bad leadership and governance, resulting in insecurity of greater proportion like kidnapping, ritual killings, terrorism, banditry, youth restiveness, herdsmen/farmers clashes, and cyber-crime. This also has profound and far-reaching effects on the promotion and protection of consumer rights to safety and redress. It is against these backdrops that this paper was written to examine human rights for sustaining national security and the role of consumer education in the promotion of human rights and national security. The methodology adopted in this study was conceptual in nature, through the review of archival literature of newspapers, government journals, journal and conference articles publications and textbooks. The paper suggested that government, its agencies and institutions, corporate bodies and individuals should be held accountable for human rights violations against consumers and threats to consumer security. The paper concluded that consumer education programmes should be intensified in every sector of the economy and be used as a tool for sustaining human rights in both formal and informal educational system. Government should establish mobile consumer complaints centers at ward and senatorial levels across the country to encourage consumers to easily seek redress whenever their rights are violated, and that government agencies and public institutions, corporate bodies and individuals be held more accountable for threats to consumer security (human rights violations against consumers). The research methodology adopted in this study is through a qualitative approach by interviewing 25 senior managers of commercial banks out of 30 interview schedule/request letters sent out to randomly selected commercial lending institutions in Malaysia. It includes developing an understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it must be achieved. Hence, the aim of this study was to review the factors influencing implementation of performance management programmes in South African Universities. This study was a conceptual study that examined the factors that influence successful implementation of performance management programmes, and classified the importance of a performance management system in South African Universities. An archival investigation was used to conduct the study through in-depth study of past literatures, such as textbooks, newspaper articles, company websites, journals and conference publications. This approach was chosen because it was the most effective method to carry out an informative review of the factors that influence successful implementation of performance management programmes, and classify the importance of a performance management system in South African Universities. In this study, the researchers reported that performance management implementation is influenced by a number of factors which include but not limited to shortage of staffs in the human resource department. In addition, human resource personnel require training on how performance management should be implemented. The study also reported that there is only a partial trust in the relationship between managers and the staffs. In other words, employees often resist the implementation of performance management and are either ready or educated about the performance management system. However, if properly adopted, the study suggested that effective implementation of performance management system will improve employees and organisational performance. Such policy must be discussed with all stakeholders so that they will not be caught unaware. Hence, performance management needs to be piloted before final implementation.
