This issue plays a crucial role in prospering the quality of future grassroots of the nation on the term of values, attitudes, and moral development. Education is a tool that thrives and imparts value-based education, starting from early education. Therefore, to upbringing the aforementioned mission, we employ a phenomenological study to explore the perception and opinion among Design and Technology (DNT) teachers in embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) elements among primary school students. This study focuses on the teacher’s pedagogical approach in the classroom contexts and teachers’ readiness in the implementation of ESD, comprises of three main elements: environment, social, and economical. The formulated research question for this study is what teachers’ views are and how they perceive ESD as part of the subject. Qualitative research was conducted to illustrate the perception and understanding of ESD elements in DNT subjects. Selected participants are among the Head of DNT Panels and at the same time, teach DNT as their major subject. The data were collected using semi-structured interviews. Informants’ views and feedback were derived and transcribed using Nvivo software. The theme emerged from the constant comparative analysis were triangulated with secondary data; for example, field observation, memo, journals, and teacher's lesson plan. Analysis of the data indicated that student-centered learning as the theme implemented by most participants to impart ESD through student’s learning activities. Education is the optimal mechanism to disseminate ESD and encouraging learners in moral values.","PeriodicalId":298189,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal Of Assessment In Teaching And Learning","volume":"378 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124721829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used a descriptive method of research. Based on the results, Outcomes-based instruction was implemented in terms of practices and environment. The respondents assessed that it was useful in terms of academic and instruction. On the other hand, it was very useful in terms of attitudes. Based from the findings, if outcomes-based instruction was implemented, it was also useful. This indicated that there was a significant relationship between the implementation and usefulness of OBE with the r-value 0.69. An action plan was presented to address the indicators which obtained the least weighted mean in each aspect. The researcher recommends that both the faculty members and the students should have an extensive seminars and orientations about Outcomes-based instruction. Furthermore, conduct a continuous monitoring on its implementation and usefulness for further improvements. Also, the college shall conduct related activities which integrate a broader context of Outcomes-Based Instruction for the enhancement of the students’ skills.","PeriodicalId":298189,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal Of Assessment In Teaching And Learning","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133530631","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Additionally, the well-being of innovative organizational climate also relates on how innovative leader leads the team. From this sustainable relationship between innovative with the subordinates, it will create a harmonic balance within the organization. This systematic literature review will examine the issues, and challenges and the appropriate leadership styles of the innovation leadership in creating an innovative and sustainable organizational climate in the institutions of Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET) in Malaysia. A number of studies have been carried out by researchers in respect of the innovation leadership attributes associated with a variety of leadership styles viewed from different perspectives. Innovation leadership plays an important role in improving organizational performance. Therefore, the development of innovative leadership needs to develop innovative thinking among the team members to ensure their successfulness and remains competitive in the face of a rapidly changing world and the latest technology.","PeriodicalId":298189,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal Of Assessment In Teaching And Learning","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131952190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Stufflebeam’s Context, Input and Process (CIP) model was used to evaluate the implementation of SBM. Mixed Methods of Research (MMR) design was utilized. Triangulation of data through the use of data analysis, questionnaires, face-to-face interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) were employed. Mean rating and thematic approach were used to determine the extent of SBM and elaborated based on themes. The results showed that there was a moderate attainment of school objectives and the operational aspects of SBM were not fully implemented by the school heads. Results of the study showed that the strengths of the implementation are categorized in two discrete yet dominating themes: the value of cooperation and motivation; and the worth of collaboration and delegation. Correspondingly, the two major breakdowns of the communal description as regards the weaknesses of the implementation which includes the poor enactment of transparency and low value of support mechanism. With regard to the remedial measures on issues or problems, three underlying and dominant themes were revealed: consultative meeting, administrative protocol and open communication and decision making as the heart of the organization. A policy implication is then put forward since SBM accounts for four major principles or domains. This calls for the decentralization of authority which originally comes from the school head who solely and directly implements SBM to the operation relegated to teachers managing their respective domains such as: leadership and governance; curriculum and learning; accountability and continuous improvement; and management of resources based on their qualifications or skills. In doing such, devolution or a dispersed authority builds on teachers who are more directly involved with the beneficiaries like the pupils and their parents.","PeriodicalId":298189,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal Of Assessment In Teaching And Learning","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123947984","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
