The implementation of practicum activities requires facilities and infrastructure as well as subject matter related to practicum activities. The method used in the implementation of the research is descriptive research. Descriptive research is research conducted to determine the value of independent variables, either one or more variables without making comparisons or connecting one variable to another. This study is a research that seeks to answer the question. The location of the research was carried out at the Biology Education Laboratory, STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah International Medan Jl. Farmer's Work. The subjects of this study were students of the biology education study program at STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah Internasional Medan in fifth semester of the Academic Year 2021/2022. The laboratory owned by the STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah International Medan biology education study program consists of only one room. All practical activities are carried out in this room. Biological laboratories recorded until 2016 had approximately 35 types of laboratory equipment consisting of a set of glassware, teaching aids, preparations, electronic devices, tools made of wood or plastic as well as digital and conventional tools. The design of the laboratory is still very simple, the space is only filled with 6 work desks, 20 work chairs that are not up to standard in the laboratory, 2 storage cabinets for tools and materials, a sink and cleaning equipment. The laboratory of STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah International Medan is led by a head of the laboratory.","PeriodicalId":296868,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Educational Research Excellence (IJERE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116754425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inquiry and expository learning strategies have different foundations, especially in learning Mathematics. The research will be carried out in early August for the 2022/2023 academic year for seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Prapat . The research sample is the students of class VIII-1 being the experimental class and VIII-5 being the control class. Research instruments in the form of tests and non-tests. The results showed that 1) there are differences in learning outcomes of mathematics in students who are taught with inquiry learning strategies and expository learning strategies. This is evidence that learning strategies do have an influence on learning outcomes in Mathematics. 2) There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes for students who have high and low learning motivation. This is evidence that learning motivation has an influence in learning Mathematics. 3) There is an interaction between learning strategies and learning motivation on mathematics learning outcomes.","PeriodicalId":296868,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Educational Research Excellence (IJERE)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129809596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The researcher used experimental research. The sample of this research. The sample were 78 students of the grade XI students of SMA Swasta Al-Hikmah Medan in Academic Year 2020/2021, with population 78 students from three classes. The researcher used total random sampling technique. There were 26 students taught by using Project Based Learning method, 26 students taught by using Problem Based Learning method and 26 students as control group. The technique of data analysis is One Way Analysis of Variance (ANNOVA) with significance level p=0,21> 0,05or Fhitung=7,355 > Ftable=3.12. It was found that Project Based Learning, Problem Based Learning Methods and Control Group have different effect on students’ writing achievement of narrative texts. Project Based Learning is more effective than Problem Based Learning. However, English writing has always been a challenge to master by the students, especially students in junior high schools. The main objective of this research is focused on finding out student’s difficulties in acquiring writing English. This study used case study with descriptive qualitative research. About 26 students are as the participants of the research. The data gained through document analysis, questioners and interview. The result indicates students had a significant problem in writing English. The findings revealed that the most significant problems are because of their lack of vocabulary mastery and language used. They assumed that they had limited knowledge in constructing sentence grammatically and also their lack of vocabulary mastery made them felt confused in choosing the word. The purpose of this study is to describe the types, forms, and reasons for code switching in the lyrics of the song Tak Tun Pour. The research method used is descriptive method. The data consists of quotations in the form of lines and stanzas of the song lyrics undergoing code switching. The analysis was carried out by clarifying the types, forms, and reasons for code switching based on the theory presented by Suwito. The results of data analysis show that the type of code switching that appears in the lyrics of the song Tak Tun Pour is internal code switching. The code switching that occurs is in the form of intersentential switching. The reason for code switching is adjusting to the language code controlled by the interlocutor, the inability to use the language code that is being used for a long time continuously and continuously, changes in the interlocutor, and the specific intentions of the speaker. The type of code switching that appears is inward code switching.
