It introduces preliminary results of the Filed Programming Gate Array (FPGA) implementation of solar model. FPGA technology was employed due to its development flexibility and low cost. A database comprising a set of meteorological data such as: solar radiation, temperature and sunshine duration have been used in this study. The inputs of the ANN-solar model are the sunshine duration and mean average temperature while the output is the daily total solar radiation. Firstly, a dataset of several sites have been used for training the network. Subsequently, after the design procedure was done, the developed architecture by VHDL is then implemented on reconfigurable FPGA device (Xilinx, VirtexII). The developed hardware device permits the forecasting of the daily solar radiation using available mean temperature and sunshine duration, especially in isolated sites, where there are no instruments for measuring the solar radiation data.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123673959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The real time interference cancellation performance of an indoor repeater depends on its computational complexity. In order to reduce the complexity of interference cancellation repeaters, computationally efficient interpolated filters are used as an input filter for frequency band selection and an output filter for spectrum mask control. Interpolation is applied to the implementation of an adaptive filter that performs interference cancellation under indoor channel environments. This allows the adaptive filter to calculate fewer filter taps and only uses them to estimate the feedback signal. For additional complexity reduction, a single common image rejection filter is designed to be shared among interpolated filters. The proposed scheme reduces the complexity of the conventional interference cancellation repeater by half without deterioration of the interference cancellation performance of the repeater.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125479041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Having joined the Bologna process Russia has to reform the Higher Education System in accordance with the European standards. This paper examines transformation to Bologna-style higher education system based on two main cycles (Bachelor and Master) in Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Information Sciences (SibSUTIS). Development and accreditation of programmes of the Bachelor and Master cycles is one of the most important conditions for integration with European universities, enabling mobility of students and academic staff and European Credit Transfer System. In this paper we examine expected outcomes from international partnership of University in accordance with the Bologna declaration. Finally, we denote problems in realization of joint European projects TEMPUS in Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Information Sciences.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125564025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our example is based on new notions of k-Walsh-Hadamard transform for a Boolean function and k-bent function (here k is integer, 1 les k les m/2, m is an even number of variables), which we introduce. These notions appeared at first as geometric images of coding theory. But soon they found applications in cryptanalysis. Using these notions we study special quadratic approximations in block ciphers and prove that by using k-bent functions in a cipher it is possible to make it resistant to these approximations.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"140 46","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120820364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However other applications exist, more specific, in which not only the flux density amplitude is important, but also the magnetic field distribution. The determination of the magnetic field distribution, based on analytical solutions, can become very complex. On the other hand, available computational tools (as for instance, some based in the finite element analysis) can provide the required results. Furthermore the electromagnetic behaviour, these computational tools allow, in general, to analyse additionally the thermal behaviour of such circuits (approach not followed in this work). In this paper, the generic characterization of the magnetic circuit according to the characteristics of a nuclear magnetic resonance field cycling magnet is done. A classical approach is presented in order to size the major parameters of the magnetic system. The 3D finite element analysis implementation of the magnetic core and the process used to perform the required study are also described. The results obtained are presented and discussed.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"160 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127402176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
