Solutions are expressed analytically through Greenpsilas functions of the dpsilaAlembert operator with the Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions. It is shown that if the waveguide is excited only by a longitudinal current density component and/or non-zero charge density (transverse current components) the obtained solution reduces to the well-known expressions for TM (TE) cylindrical waveguide modes. If transverse and longitudinal current density components and non-zero charge density are present simultaneously in the waveguide, then the radial structure of the excited electro-magnetic field coincides with that of the superposition of TM and TE cylindrical waveguide modes. The results thus obtained allow one a direct calculation of the forces acting on an arbitrarily moving relativistic charge from the induced by-itself charges and currents at the waveguide walls. They also provide a basis for solution of a rigorous self-consistent problem on the non-stationary propagation of relativistic electron beams in cylindrical drift tubes with the account for space-charge effects. As an example of applications, under the Coulomb gauge, we analytically calculate the scalar potential and density of induced charge on the cylindrical perfectly conducting drift tube walls, which are caused by a moving non-relativistic point-like charge. We also find the potential part of the quasi-electrostatic force exerted on such a charge by the charge density induced by it on the drift tube walls.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129431798","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Flexibility of this block can be used to improve the whole performance of the system. In this work a flexible structure with variable gain is presented. The circuit is used to calibrate a typical time interleaved analog to digital converter. Simulation results indicated that modified circuit is superior in some aspects to the commonly used architectures. Designed circuit is simulated in a standard 0.35 mum CMOS technology, the SHA achieves 87 dB SFDR for 2 Vpp input at 200 MHz sampling rate. The performance is not degraded for inputpsilas frequency up to the Nyquist frequency.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130772484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a memory efficient data compression technique comprising of a block approach that keeps the data in compressed form as long as possible and enables the data to be appended to the already compressed text. The algorithm requires only a minimal decompression for supporting update of data using a little preprocessing which reduces the unnecessary time spent in compression-decompression to support update by the algorithms deigned till now to a minimum. Further, the text document can be modified as required without decompressing and again compressing the whole document. The paper also presents the design of the required data structures for our algorithm with performance results.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"72 1-3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132330976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The calculations were carried out using an advanced mathematical model of a plasma-chemical reactor. The model takes into account peculiarities of plasma kinetics in a RF-discharge. The gas flow is described by the equations of multicomponent hydrodynamics including convective-diffusion transfer and production of all mixture components. In the paper the electron density influencing the main characteristics of silicon etching is presented. It is shown that the fall of average density of energetic electrons in the reactor due to oxygen addition can decrease the etching rate in a range up to 30% but in any case the etching rate in the mixture stays essentially higher than that in pure tetrafluoromethane.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"348 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122334111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The innovation in the work is the employment of Overlap Save scheme, which unlike Cyclic Prefix guarantees no change in transmitter circuitry. The channel has been simulated according the model proposed by (Cassioli et al., 2002). Based on our simulation results, we show that a 128 point FFT/IFFT based FDE with an overlap save length of 64 gives the most optimal performance. The results also show that FDE and TDE give somewhat similar performance in the given scenario. However, TDE is not a feasible solution because of its exhaustive computational complexity. Hence, we propose the use of FDE with the above mentioned parameters for Indoor UWB systems.","PeriodicalId":295946,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering","volume":"75 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113985208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
