The study population included 175 students from J. High School located in C. Independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to analyze the impacts of gender and physical fitness level on physical self-concept scores of high school students, and the correspondence analysis method was used to identify the relationships among the sub-factors of the students’ perceptions of the choices and decisions of their physical self-concepts. \u0000The results of the study are as follows. \u0000First, there were no significant differences in physical self-concept scores between gender and fitness level. Second, although the perceptions of physical self-concept change according to gender and physical fitness level were generally positive, there were some areas (cardio-respiratory endurance, flexibility, strength and muscular endurance, physical activity, overall body, appearance, and body fat) that would require customized guidance activities to improve physical fitness.","PeriodicalId":294766,"journal":{"name":"Educational Research Institute","volume":"12 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140413675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An IPA analysis was conducted to examine the priorities of educational content to strengthen early childhood teachers' climate change teaching capabilities. For this study, questionnaires were distributed and collected online to early childhood teachers working in kindergartens in Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeonggi-do. The final research subjects sampled were 51 people. As a result of this study, looking at the difference between the current level and importance of early childhood teachers' climate change response practice competency and ecological citizenship competency, there was a significant difference. The importance of overall climate change response capabilities and ecological citizenship capabilities was higher than the current level. And looking at the results of the IPA analysis of early childhood teachers' climate change response practice capabilities, the strengthening and maintenance of teaching capabilities was found to be the will to implement climate change and climate change sensitivity. The capacity that requires intensive management was found to be the ability to reflect on climate change. According to the IPA analysis results among early childhood teachers' teaching competencies on ecological citizenship, the competency that required intensive management was participation, and the competency that required gradual improvement was justice. Through the results of this study, climate change teaching capabilities necessary for early childhood teachers were derived and the direction of teacher education for this was discussed.","PeriodicalId":294766,"journal":{"name":"Educational Research Institute","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140416150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results of the study, conducted with 284 high school students in Sejong Special Self-Governing City, are as follows. First, in terms of digital literacy activities, students use social media (e.g. KakaoTalk), watching videos, and searching for information through smartphones almost every day, with a high frequency of use on weekends. Second, digital literacy attitudes were higher than the levels. Third, digital literacy attitudes and levels were positively correlated. Fourth, digital literacy attitudes had a significant influence on the levels. These findings suggest that attitude-related education should be conducted to improve secondary school students’ practical digital literacy skills.","PeriodicalId":294766,"journal":{"name":"Educational Research Institute","volume":"49 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140414123","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, 158 students from J University located in Chungnam area were surveyed and 158 data were analyzed by using SPSS 21.0. The data analysis method used correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and boot strapping to verify the significance of the indirect effect. As a result, first, among the sub-factors of college students' empathy ability, ego-resilience and ego-resilience, the higher the positivity, the higher the interpersonal relationship satisfaction. Second, college students' empathy ability affected interpersonal relationship satisfaction through ego resilience, and ego resilience was found to have a full mediating effect. Third, the three sub-factors of ego resilience, positivity, control, and sociability, were all found to have a mediating effect, and among them, positivity was found to have the greatest impact. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it confirmed the influence of ego-resilience and positivity in strengthening interpersonal relationship satisfaction of college students.","PeriodicalId":294766,"journal":{"name":"Educational Research Institute","volume":"7 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140410644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the 5th and 6th graders of elementary schools in the central region, classes centered on traditional book textbooks and classes using digital textbooks were conducted to compare the degree of improvement in digital literacy. 158 5th grade students and 146 6th graders were participated in. Classes using book-type textbooks and digital textbooks were conducted 3 times a week for 3 months, for a total of 12 weeks, from October to December to research subjects with similar living conditions and economic levels, and digital literacy tests were conducted before and after. As a result, students who used digital textbooks showed a partially statistically significant change in the degree of improvement in digital literacy compared to students in the control group. As a result of analysis by dividing into five areas: collection of information, utilization and management of information, utilization and evaluation of media, utilization of smart devices, and understanding and practice of copyright and Internet ethics, Comparing the pre-test and post-tests in the experimental and control groups, each showed significant changes in digital literacy. This is a result that runs counter to the idea that digital literacy can only be improved by making greater use of digital materials. However, students who consistently use it are able to induce more changes in terms of digital literacy than students who do not. In addition, students who used digital textbooks preferred classes using audio-visual materials such as digital textbooks more than classes using general photos or book-type textbooks, and had comfort and confidence in using digital devices such as computers and tablet PCs. In addition, it was found that science classes using materials were more preferred. However, among students' individual responses or interviews, some responded that learning was more effective in traditional teaching, research through scientist interviews, and explanations through images or diagrams.","PeriodicalId":294766,"journal":{"name":"Educational Research Institute","volume":"8 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140410803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
