Based on this approach, the authors aimed to reveal the results of the extent to which field-specific literature addresses this issue. However, regarding the concept of smart tourism, the authors of this study have shown a lack of attention to the relationship between these two logically related areas of tourism research: seasonality and smart tourism. Thus, the study proposed a new approach and possible research directions in connection with seasonality research in the context of smart tourism.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131970968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the management of two community forests by examining the access of local residents to information related to these forests and their participation in their management. To this end, quantitative data were collected from 201 households living near these forests. The Likert scale, consisting of four possible options, was used to assess the level of access of local residents to information related to the forests and the extent of their participation in forest management. The results of this analysis revealed respective overall mean scores of 3.59 for information access and 2.89 for participation in management, indicating a high level of information access and a moderate degree of peasant participation in forest management. These farmers should be encouraged to maximize their participation in the management of the forests to which they are adjacent.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"282 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121336169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research of the Mária Kopp Institute for Demography and Families (KINCS) regularly analyzes the effect of the Family Housing Benefit, i.e. the so-called CSOK. This research was carried out on an administrative database (Hungarian State Treasury), analyzed with the SPSS and using the QGIS program. Our hypothesis was partly confirmed, that is, in the settlements where the village CSOK is available, the number of births and the migration rates show an improving tendency. However, this correlation, at present, is invalid in calculations made at the level of settlements, and is only conspicuous in cases where data were aggregated according to status.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116087149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We used thematic analysis to examine responses from a household survey and classify perceptions of climate change, which resulted in seven main themes. We then reviewed how the themes are used in selected climate policies to make a comparison between them and household perceptions. We found climate policy concerns focused on mitigating greenhouse gases, preparing for extreme weather events, and reducing impacts that affect economic development in Nuevo León and Mexico. By contrast, respondents showed a wider range of concerns and are especially worried about current issues in their homes and everyday lives. As households have an important role to play in addressing climate change, we argue that a stronger congruence between household perceptions and climate policies could make policies more approachable for households, and thus have a positive impact on policy implementation.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114656372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For instance, during the first Industrial Revolution steam engine greatly increased the efficiency of production: with the help of the combustion of black coal, and later oil, the worth of natural resources from the Earth was never devalued. For every economic entity, immense development at the beginning of the process seems inevitable, and China’s economic development follows a similar trajectory, yet with the continuing development, environmental issues are becoming non-negligible anymore in China, which could potentially drag and slow down overall economic progress. What problems is China facing nowadays and what will it face in the future, and what sort of measures can have their own practical meaning to the world? We are going to look at the details in this paper.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116255110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many international and local conventions, as well as legislations, deal with the conservation and valorization of heritage values. Among these, the UNESCO World Heritage Convention (UNESCO, 1972) and the International List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (UNESCO, 2003) are particularly important. This subject is also becoming more meaningful in the field of tourism. Ambitious tourists put an authentic environment first, and cultural tourism based on intellectual interest is one of the most dynamically developing types of tourism products (Gonda, 2016). One of the fundamental characteristics of a cultural landscape is change, which is reflected in the natural landscape and also in the features that fill the spaces. However, the changes that have taken place in recent decades have not only led to the loss of diversity of cultural and historical habitats. These have also resulted in a blurring of the images that characterize a region, with the consequent loss of aesthetic values and identity. The Bavarian example examined in my study is an attempt to map and record the current state of the Bavarian cultural landscape and to define recommendations for the various sectors as a guide for future generations.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126662051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four flume experiments were run to see how stabilized, increased and decreased flow and the occurrence of a series of floods affect channel planform evolution. Constant discharge produced alternate bars that subsequently merged into bigger bedforms, bedform migration, and a higher sinuosity of the channel. While merging and migration of bedforms may happen in the lower reaches of Drava, its sinuosity is unchanged due to river regulation. Reduced flow initiated transition from a braided to incised single-thread planform, with the formation of dormant channels. Drava already has a single-thread planform (because of dikes) and, in cases of flow reduction, will have the remnant of inactive channels. Increased discharge showed greater erosion and reworking of channel banks, a decrease of sinuosity ratio and active high bluff zones. On Drava sinuosity ratio is more difficult to change because of levees, but erosion, reworking of banks, and increased high bluff risks are possible. Floods simulation generated the construction of an anabranching planform alongside the incised main channel with terraces along banks (active during floods), bars, alluvial islands, and side channels (active during low flows). On the lower Drava River, this situation correlates with past floods.","PeriodicalId":293208,"journal":{"name":"Modern Geográfia","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124493236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
