A falusi CSOK hatása a települések népességére

Abstract

In our study, we examined the effect of the Village Family Housing Support Program (CSOK) – the type of family house subsidy specifically aimed at small settlements – on the change of population in those settlements that had the opportunity to use the support. The research of the Mária Kopp Institute for Demography and Families (KINCS) regularly analyzes the effect of the Family Housing Benefit, i.e. the so-called CSOK. This research was carried out on an administrative database (Hungarian State Treasury), analyzed with the SPSS and using the QGIS program. Our hypothesis was partly confirmed, that is, in the settlements where the village CSOK is available, the number of births and the migration rates show an improving tendency. However, this correlation, at present, is invalid in calculations made at the level of settlements, and is only conspicuous in cases where data were aggregated according to status.
