The problem that often occurs in hipertensive elderly is have problems with suboptimal self-care behavior. This is influenced by the level of stress that the elderly have to change their optimal self-care behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between stress levels and self-care behavior in hipertensive elderly. Descriptive correlation was used in this study with a cross sectional approach and the sample obtained was 252 of hipertensive elderly in the Surabaya Public Health Center Area with a cluster random sampling. Data were analyzed using Spearman Rho test. The hipertensive elderly had a stress level of 0.8% in the severe category and 46.8% in the moderate category and 52.4% in the mild category. The elderly also have self-care behavior of 31.7% in the low category, 39.3% in the sufficient category, 29% in the good category. This study shows a significant correlation between stress levels and self-care behavior with a value of p = 0.000  (<0.05) and the coefficient correlation had a fairly strong relationship with a negative value of -0.384. This study shows that there is a correlation between stress levels and self-care behavior in hypertensive elderly and a negative value indicates that if the elderly with stress is getting heavier or higher, their self-care behavior tends to be bad or down. Nurses must understand that stress levels something that needs to be studied in behavioral changes in hipertensive elderly to provide comfort in carrying out self-care behavior","PeriodicalId":292632,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Kesehatan Prima","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123774841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine the determinants of factors that affect the mortality of COVID-19 patients in the elderly in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The design of this study was cross-sectional with a purposive sampling technique, namely all elderly patients diagnosed with COVID-19 with PCR swab (+) who were treated in hospitals throughout NTB Province during the period March to December 2020. the total sample is 569 people. The variables of this study were age, gender, cluster, treatment status and, history of comorbidities. Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis using Chi-Square and multivariate with Logistic Regression. The results of the study were that most of the elderly COVID-19 patients were in the early 60-70 years (81.7%), the sex was primarily male 339 people (59.6%), without cluster 484 people (85.5%), history of comorbidities with comorbid 470 people (82.6%) and recovered after treatment 454 people (79.8%). COVID-19 patients in the elderly mainly died aged 60-70 years 85 people (73.9%), male sex, namely 71 people (61.7%), without cluster 107 people (94.7%), and 62% died without comorbidities as many as 72 people due to COVID-19. There is a significant relationship between clusters and comorbidities on the death of the elderly infected with COVID-19. Comorbidities (with comorbidities) are the most dominant influencing mortality in the elderly by 60.9% based on logistic regression model analysis involving four variables affecting the mortality of COVID-19 in the elderly,  and other factors influence the rest.","PeriodicalId":292632,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Kesehatan Prima","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114887184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
