This paper proposes flower pollination algorithm (FPA) for congestion management (CM) problem of deregulated electricity market. Nature-inspired FPA is based on the characteristics of pollination process of flowering plants. The aim of employing FPA is to effectively relieve congestion in the transmission line by means of rescheduling of real power output of the generators. Various key security constraints like line transfer limit and load bus voltages have been considered while executing the CM problem. The performance of FPA has been tested on modified IEEE 30-bus and modified IEEE 57-bus power systems and the result obtained are compared to those offered by PSO, SA and RSM methods reported in the recent literature.","PeriodicalId":289216,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116822124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The novelty of the proposed algorithm is that it uses a very less number of tunable parameters as compared to most of the similarly established stochastic algorithms. In addition, a simple operator called rotate left and complement (RLC) is used in this method that helps to reach distinct points in the search space instead of reaching repeated points as done by conventional meta-heuristics. It also helps to enhance the chance of reaching towards optimal results and save time by not reaching repeated points. Another operator called flip operator is used to introduce variations within the search space as well. Performance of the proposed algorithm is tested on eight benchmark functions available in literature and the results are compared with some of the well-known optimization techniques which show the completeness of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":289216,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124888709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is very difficult if nodes move with high speed. A wireless Network category in three ways Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET), Static Ad-hoc Network (SANET) and Vehicular Ad-hoc network (VANET) in this VANET required sufficient research. VANET is having a positive approach to get better management and safety in road traffic that gives various ranges of valuable services. The safety and security of messages is the precious requirements for vehicular network. Security and privacy of the messages are the two concerns motivating strong vehicular network designs. This paper presents routing protocols, and the network threats that can be exploited the working performance of VANET. This paper also describes comparative performance of routing protocol in presence of Sybil.","PeriodicalId":289216,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130110096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Protocols such as Core Based Tree (CBT), Protocol Independent Multicasting Sparse Mode (PIM-SM) use shared tree approach. Shared tree approach is preferred over source-based tree approach because in the latter construction of minimum cost tree per source is needed unlike a single shared tree in the former approach. Objective of the present work is two-fold: to provide a candidate core selection approach for shared tree multicasting to guard against any possible core failure and to provide an efficient load balanced multicore multicasting approach using the candidate cores.","PeriodicalId":289216,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130522788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
