To identify virtual chain links and obtain combinations of kinematic pairs and links that are the basis for constructing structural schemes of Assur eight-bar closed kinematic chains of the first family according to the given parameters. Using the obtained data, to consider constructing structural schemes of Assur eight-bar closed kinematic chains of the first family of the fourth type on a specific example. \u0000Research methods are the method of structural synthesis of closed kinematic chains of moving links of the first family, set theory and combinatorics, virtualization, identification and coding, graph theory. \u0000The novelty of the work: the features of applying a universal structural system for determining the composition of Assur eight-bar closed kinematic chains of the first family of the fourth type are given. Using a specific example, the order of applying the obtained solutions for synthesis of structural schemes of Assur eight-bar closed kinematic chains of the first family of the fourth type is considered. \u0000The study results: combinations of kinematic pairs and links are found, which make it possible to construct all possible structural schemes of Assur eight-bar closed kinematic chains of the first family under given parameters. Machine-building products are a complex technical system consisting of structural elements interconnected according to the principle of hierarchy (technical system – structural system – element). \u0000The functional state of the elements is determined by maintaining the technical parameters within the specified limits during the given time interval. During operation under external load, the mating parts of the contact pair have different degrees of changing technical parameters. In most cases, the resource of one of the contacting elements of the pair is lower, which leads to its repeated replacement until the resource is fully exhausted by the second element. \u0000The consumer is primarily interested in the problem of determining the necessary number of element replacements. Experimental studies were conducted at one of the enterprises of motor transport with its own tire installation site using the method of monitoring and maintaining statistics on types of damage (cut, puncture, bulge, as well as retreading). The criterion of management technical efficiency is the dependence of the intensity of tire tread wear on the service life. The material and methods used in this paper are new, allowing to make recommendations for both road transport enterprises, car service stations, and for the tire manufacturer, taking into account all possible factors. The research methods are of an experimental practical nature with a comparison and evaluation of the results obtained, in which machining features of porous metal ceramics and methods for improving the efficiency of surface shaping while maintaining the functional physical parameters of the part surfaces are considered. The modes and conditions of machining are noted with the relevant recommendations. The object of the study is a modified frame design for a new power plant and hydraulic transmission of DR1B diesel train type. The frame is designed for a new power plant, a comparative analysis of the original frame design with the modified one is presented, as well as their structural differences are described. The normative loading modes are described and the loading factors for assessing the strength of the frame structure under study are presented. A finite element model of the modified frame structure for the power plant is developed, its stress-strain state is analyzed, and on its basis a scheme for installing resistance strain gages is developed. The results of full-scale impact tests and running strength tests of a diesel train with a modified frame design are presented. Comparative studies of the wear of borated layers with different morphologies show the advantages of layers with a composite structure in a wide range of sliding speeds from 0.05 to 3 m/s. The maximum effective protection time is provided by borated layers which combine a compact structure with a composite one under harsh operating conditions. Serpentenites and manganese dioxide are used as geofillers. Based on the results, a high-temperature antifriction lubricant with repair and recovery properties was obtained, which is a lubricating composition based on PN-6 petroleum plasticizer oxidate with a geofiller - serpentinite and a crystallizer – manganese dioxide. The developed lubricant contains an optimal amount of serpentinite - 0.3%; manganese dioxide – 0.05%; oxidate -99.65%. \u0000High-temperature lubricants based on oxidized oils (oxidates) and geo-fillers are recommended for use in high-temperature and high-loaded friction units of machine-building equipment, in sliding bearings of steam engines, transport trolleys used in brick firing and other equipment. The most dangerous loads acting on the car are longitudinal loads during emergency driving modes, to reduce which inter-car shock absorbers (absorbing devices) are provided; their effectiveness must be ensured throughout the whole car life. The performance of polymer car absorbing devices depends primarily on the durability of the polymer, which is a kinetically activated process accelerated by repeated deformations and elevated temperature. The mechanism of the material ageing process depends on the structure of the material. Based on experimental laboratory studies and comparative field tests, ageing of elastomers of different classes have been identified, the dependences of the power characteristics of R-5P absorbing apparatus with two types of solid elastomer (based on rubber and a mixture of elastic thermoplastic with polyvinyl chloride plastic) have been constructed at normal and low temperatures, as well as after 6 years of operation. Recommendations are given to increase the resistance to crystallization and to ageing of polymer elements of absorbing devices. At regulated intersections, there is an imbalance in the intensity of traffic flow, due to which one operation mode of traffic lights at an intersection may be ineffective. The study objective is to develop software for predicting the operating modes of traffic lights, taking into account the spatial and temporal unevenness of transport demand. Based on the simulation of traffic flows at one regulated intersection, the values of the average delay time were determined for different traffic light operating modes and traffic flow intensities, including turning ones. The artificial neural network was trained on data from 16 thousand simulations and tested on four thousand simulations. Using an artificial neural network to calculate the optimal operating mode of traffic lights reduces the delay time by 20-50% for two rush hours. A pre-trained artificial neural network can calculate the optimal operating mode of traffic lights for a specific regulated intersection in one second.
