A comprehensive computer model of a passenger train is developed, which makes it possible to study all the processes of controlling traction equipment and train brakes that affect energy efficiency, safety and dynamics of rolling stock. Using fuzzy logic tools, a technique is developed for rating employees of locomotive crews according to the criterion of ensuring smooth running of the train. The results of experimental trips by passenger trains on sections of the North Caucasus Railway are presented. The dependences of the locomotive traction force, the speed and the longitudinal jerk of the passenger train cars are obtained.","PeriodicalId":289189,"journal":{"name":"Transport engineering","volume":"79 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140710987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The changes in the criteria for choosing a traction drive design depending on the changes in requirements for locomotives are analyzed. The types of drives are compared according to their technological simplicity, weight and size indicators, the effect on the coupling properties of the locomotive and the damage to the track structure, taking into account the production of new traction drive designs of an integrated type with collector-free traction electric motors having an increased rotation frequency. It was found that for locomotives with collector traction motors, it is advisable to use a frame support drive with an axial gearbox or a hollow driveshaft, and when using collector-free traction motors , the axial support traction drive of an integrated layout on freight locomotives with 1250 mm wheel diameter to improve coupling properties by 12...15%, it is advisable to replace it with the one proposed by the authors, which is an aggregate-type drive with an elastic link in the shaft lines, or with frame support drives with an axial gearbox, and with a wheel diameter of 1050 mm – frame support drives with a hollow shaft on the axis. An application for a patent has been submitted for the proposed solutions.","PeriodicalId":289189,"journal":{"name":"Transport engineering","volume":"8 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140710379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using mathematical modeling, the lifting height is determined which is necessary to ensure the possibility to dismantle the springs of the spring set of the central suspension. The stability of the reinforced lining of the car body was assessed using the developed problem-oriented elastic-dissipative finite element model of the supporting structure of the passenger car body. The calculations are performed in a static non-linear formulation, taking into account the geometric nonlinearity and non-conservativeness of the operating loads. The stability of the reinforced load-bearing lining of the car was assessed both for the initial structure and for a structure with geometric imperfections such as technological loss. The analysis of the research results allows to conclude that during the technological operation associated with lifting the passenger car body with a jack under one support, it can lead to a loss of stability of the sill belt lining of the side wall and the smooth sheathing of the roof slope. The results obtained agree with the results of the inspection of full-scale cars in operation.","PeriodicalId":289189,"journal":{"name":"Transport engineering","volume":"25 62","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140711449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Frames consisting of multidirectional fibers were used as reinforcing components: basalt wool (175-200 kg/m3 density); steel wool (4# class); melting temperatures of steel and basalt, which make up steel and basalt wool, are above 10000C, which makes it possible to pour aluminum without changing the aggregate state of reinforcing frames. The percentage of reinforcing components by weight is 4-5%. Deformable AB aluminum alloy was used as a matrix, which differs from the alloys of Al-Mg-Si system because of its higher level of tensile and yield strength. The composite materials under study were obtained by the liquid–phase method - casting according to melting models. Tribo-engineering properties were tested on a friction machine in the medium of Lukoil standard 10W40 SF/CC engine oil. To determine the anti-wear properties, tests were carried out for 1 hour, and to determine the antisize properties and the seizure load, tests were carried out with a constant increase in the load on the friction unit. The assessment of anti-wear and antisize properties was carried out by comparing the values of wear spots and seizure loads. It is found that the anti-wear properties increase by 76-85% when reinforcing samples with basalt wool and by 46-76% when reinforcing with steel wool in relation to an unreinforced sample. Antisize properties increase with basalt reinforcement by 23%, and decrease by 7% with steel reinforcement. Studies on assessing tribo-engineering properties of samples obtained by casting from AB aluminum alloy reinforced with basalt and steel have shown an improvement in anti-wear and antisize properties in relation to samples from AB alloy without reinforcement.","PeriodicalId":289189,"journal":{"name":"Transport engineering","volume":"22 5part1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138971495","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
