For this purpose, the author has chosen the Pakistani Rupee exchange rate against United States Dollars with the annual data from 1980 to 2018. The results revealed that the exponential model provides the most effective accuracy in forecasting rather than the Naive, ARIMA and ARDL Co-integration model. This paper has also covered the gap of unavailability of literature regarding the application of ARDL and Exponential Smoothing model for the forecasting of the exchange rate in Pakistan. It is also anticipated that historical data do not play a vital role in the forecasting of the future trend of time series i.e. Pakistani Rupees against US Dollars. However, all three-time series anticipated that the recent observations play a significant role in the speculation of the upcoming future trend. \u0000Keywords: Forecasting, Exchange Rate, Naïve Model, ARDL Co-Integration model, Econometrics","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"134 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116337439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to empirically investigate the links of three dimensions of organizational resource availability with transfer of leadership training through trainee motivation to transfer. It further investigates the positive moderated mediation effects of employee core self-evaluation on these relations in developing world context. The study used a cross sectional quantitative design to study the transfer of training. Survey method was adopted to collect data in three-time waves for the study and Hayes' PROCESS tool and AMOS plug-ins were used for testing the hypothesized relationships. Moreover, data were collected using self-reported questionnaires, most of which have been widely validated, from participants belonging to power sector organization in Pakistan. The findings of the study affirmed all the hypotheses in conceptualized directions.Using transfer of skills as context and individual as a unit of real progress and growth, the study philosophizes a much broader perspective of human social development beyond leadership development in developing countries. With the help of Goal Setting theory, the paper builds a case for HRD professionals in developing world to focus their trainings in developing core self-evaluations in employees and leaders alike. The study proposes the poor nations to be confidant on their self-resources and the rich of the world to have higher goals of helping the poor nations in achieving their own goals.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"58 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120853026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data was collected from 264 respondents from the Banking and Telecom sector (Rawalpindi and Islamabad) of Pakistan. Banking and telecom were the new areas for the current study. Supervisory support and career commitment is the most important thing in banking and telecom. The main and for the most important object of current is to find out how the supervisor helps the employee to retain in origination. The second objective is how career commitment and person-organization fit helps to an employee in retention. The results show that supervisory support has a positive effect on employee retention and career commitment. The study further reveals that career commitment mediates the relationship between supervisory support and Employee Retention and Person Organization Fit moderates the relationship between Supervisory support and Career Commitment. The current study suggests that supervisors of banking and telecom sectors should support their subordinates to achieve their organizational goals effectively and efficiently. Person organization Fit is necessary for subordinates in organizations to complete their work and compete with their competitors.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128605146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The questionnaire survey is conducted with a sample of 153 employees of the banking sector in Pakistan. Two methods are used in this study to test the moderation effect i.e. Baron and Kenny’s (1986) technique and the Process method of Andrew F. Hayes (2013). The results show that job stress and turnover intentions are positively related to each other whereas emotional intelligence has no moderating role between them. Based on the findings, it is proposed that organizations should focus on making active policies towards stress management so that employees’ turnover intentions can be reduced ensuring an encouraging working environment.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124759787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The key role of China under the Joined Cooperation Committee formed in 2013 has paved ways for Pakistan to bring profound stability in the energy crisis being faced by Pakistan which is also evident from its most recent investment of 33.45 billion Rupees under the CPEC mega energy project respectively. The availability of approximately 10,000 megawatts electricity to the National Grid of Pakistan in the year 2018 is near to its accomplishment phase. However, this accomplishment poses itself many challenges that may halter the smooth reviving of the energy and power crisis. An internet survey was conducted with 140 respondents. For analysis SEM applied to see the interactional effects of the variables. The results indicate that in the presence of a developed consumer perception, trust and brand salience do not show any significant effect on Intention to transact. However, independently brand salience and trust have significant relationships with Intention to transact. There’s no significant mediating effect of brand salience or trust in deepening consumer perception to the level of ‘Intention to transact’. This study recommends determining the key variables that effect the deepening of consumer perception. Exploration of more factors of consumer perception in new media platforms in general and social media platforms in particular. From a practical point of view this study suggests that firms using social media platforms should concentrate more on creating a good perception about their products and brands through SNS. A perceptual position properly created and managed has a very good chance of converting into an Intention to perform a transaction. This study provides valuable insight into the social media users’ behavior regarding their Intention building through the use of social networking sites. Furthermore, this study extends the deepening of consumer perception to the level of ‘Intention to transact’ by examining the mediating role of trust and brand salience.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127884240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This phenomenon was examined through the lens of Affective event theory. The data was collected from 291 public sector employees of Pakistan. Data on variables of interest were collected through time lag and multi-rated survey which was divided into three parts. Data were analyzed through smart PLS software. Results indicated that sadness mediates the relationship between ostracism at work and extra-role behavior and between ostracism and ingratiation at work. The result indicated that promotion focus antagonistically moderate the relationship between sadness and extra-role and prevention focus failed to moderate the relationship between sadness and ingratiation at work. Furthermore, results also indicated that extra-role behavior positively related to eudaimonia and ingratiation at work negatively related to eudaimonia at work.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"1203 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117227420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An exchange rate is an important tool for controlling various macro-economic variables, and it is itself affected by different macro-economic variables. Pakistan is a developing country of the world and its unstable economy faces high variability in the exchange rate or devaluation of the domestic currency. Therefore, this study investigates the relationship of an exchange rate with selected macro-economic variables (i.e. import, GDP, Inflation & export), with a special focus on Pakistan’s economy. It also aims at finding out the degree of strength at which selected independent variables to leave a significant impact on the exchange rate in the economy of Pakistan (i.e. during the period of 1992 to 2017). For this secondary database study, data extracted from official website of World Bank, State Bank of Pakistan and Economic Surveys of Pakistan. Multiple regression models were used to measure the empirical impact of selected independent variables on exchange rate. Findings show that the Import and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) have a significant negative impact on exchange rate whereas, export and inflation have a significant positive impact on the exchange rate in the economy of Pakistan. The study recommends that the Government of Pakistan should adapt to make its exchange rate policy more effective through high production, more export with a reduction of import and price stability.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114199270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Universities are viewed as markets and students as customers. This research aims to explore education service quality (ESQ) at universities of Pakistan. Punjab is the most populous province of Pakistan having 60 universities. The study is delimited to 29 general public universities of Punjab. Six universities were randomly selected i.e. – University of the Punjab, Government College University Lahore, Islamia University Bahawalpur, University of Sargodha, University of Gujrat, and Government College University Faisalabad. The research relied on the perception of 33 service delivery staff of these universities. A semi-structured interview schedule mainly based on the HEdPERF model (Abdullah 2006) was used, which included six indicators – admissions, academic aspect, non-academic aspects, reputation, access, and program issues. Interviews were transcribed for thematic analysis. It was found that overall ESQ for all six indicators was perceived to be poor and non-academic services were reported to be in a very discouraging state; however, admissions services were found comparatively better. The study recommends that ESQ should be improved by continuously assessing students’ needs and observing trends and demands operative in the contemporary higher education scenario.","PeriodicalId":286621,"journal":{"name":"NICE Research Journal","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132772782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
