To promote innovation and creativity, it is essential to prioritize the development of problem-solving skills among learners. This study aims to analyze the problem-solving skills in promoting innovation and creativity and provides a key theoretical model for developing these skills. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review. Researchers collected journal articles from Google Scholar, Research Gate, SINTA, Scopus, and Web of Science. The result found problem-solving skills enable learners to analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and implement those solutions effectively. One key theoretical model that supports problem-solving skills is the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model. The aCPS model consists of six stages: understanding the problem, generating ideas, developing solutions, planning for action, taking action, and evaluating results. Prioritizing problem-solving skills among learners has been linked to academic achievement, success in the workforce and higher levels of innovation and creativity.","PeriodicalId":286072,"journal":{"name":"Thinking Skills and Creativity Journal","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125080779","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The importance of these skills is not in line with the existing student creativity in higher education. Several studies on students show low levels of these skills. A creative personality is a factor that influences these skills. This study aims to test the influence of creative personality on creative thinking skills. The research uses a quantitative approach with associative design. The research subjects were 90 (ninety) students who were randomly selected by considering the proportion of three state universities in East Java. Data were obtained by measuring creative personality and creative thinking skills through the creative personality scale and creative thinking test. The data were analyzed through regression analysis techniques. Testing is performed simultaneously and partially. The results show that a creative personality affects creative thinking skills. Perseverance is the most dominant factor in influencing students' creative thinking skills. The results of this study imply that the development of students’ creative thinking should be in line with the development of their creative personality.","PeriodicalId":286072,"journal":{"name":"Thinking Skills and Creativity Journal","volume":"219 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114667407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to develop revised Bloom taxonomy-oriented learning activities to improve the conceptual knowledge skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is development research. The subjects in this study involved four lecturers and 37 students. The four lecturers who were the subjects of this research were divided into two experts, namely learning media experts and two content experts. Interviews, document recordings, tests, and questionnaires of the rating scale type. Furthermore, it was analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis techniques (t-test). The development results show that the activities developed have been declared valid based on the judgment of the experts—the results of testing the effectiveness with the Independent sample t-test. The SPSS 17.0 for windows assisted test shows that the significance (2-tailed) is 0.00 <0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that learning activities oriented to the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy significantly influence the conceptual knowledge abilities of fourth-grade elementary school students. This research implies that this neatly arranged learning activity can be utilized by teachers to make the learning process more effective.","PeriodicalId":286072,"journal":{"name":"Thinking Skills and Creativity Journal","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123354604","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Critical thinking skills are skills that can analyze and evaluate information. Critical thinking skills can relate to the occurrence of misconceptions. This relationship can be positive or negative for students. The research objective is to analyze the relationship between critical thinking skills and misconceptions using a five-tier instrument. The method used in this research is correlational. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, taking 25% of the population of 80 students. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire on critical thinking skills and a misconception test sheet. The descriptive results of misconceptions are 6.00, meaning that misconceptions are categorized as moderate. The descriptive results of critical thinking skills show that the mean of critical thinking skills is 68.50, meaning that critical thinking skills are considered good. Then from the correlation results, there is a significant relationship between the two variables. It means that there is a relationship between critical thinking skills and misconceptions.
