The unwritten notations have developed since the seventeenth century of performance practice among keyboardists. However, the performance practice continuously occurs in the twenty-first-century performance although it is a complete notation. The Alla Turca Jazz op.5b was written and performed by Fazil Say throughout his performances globally with a dissimilar interpretation of embellishments. Chinese modern calligraphy, as a bridge between traditional, Western, modern, and contemporary art, demonstrates a clear relationship and mutual influence between Chinese modern calligraphy and global art. Line has always been the master content of traditional and modern Chinese calligraphy in the formalistic practise of calligraphy art. Recognizing the aesthetic experience requires an understanding of the Chinese concept of line. While the heritage buildings and culture of Malaysia may appear familiar and unpopular among locals, they continue to be in greater demand among foreign tourists. The purpose of this study is to examine the local attractions in Penang, which has been perceived as an unpopular tourism destination in recent years due to a lack of creative destination branding but has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for its historical heritage. Historical destinations should be rebranded through the creation of brand histories, as each heritage structure has a unique backstory. To summarize, innovative destination branding strategies were used to accomplish the objective. The foundation of destination branding is to promote the destination and attract new tourists. Observation and questionnaires were used to generate concept proposals. Three critical aspects of a heritage destination can be improved through this research project: the reputation, identity, and perception of the local attraction. Local historic structures should be maintained and protected for aesthetic and safety reasons. Elemen naratif seperti tema, mesej, watak dan perwatakan, latar tempat dan masa, konflik dan plot akan menggambarkan isu dan permasalahan yang berlaku dalam masyarakat. Ia menjadikan filem sebagai alat komunikasi bagi menyampaikan mesej tertentu. Sebagai cerminan sosial, mesej yang disampaikan dalam filem boleh digunakan untuk tujuan pendidikan dan panduan bagi menjadikan masyarakat yang lebih baik. Berdasarkan analisis secara historiografi terhadap filem-filem Melayu, didapati naratif filem Melayu juga memaparkan transformasi sosial dan sosiobudaya masyarakat Malaysia. Pengaruh hiburan dan idealogi Barat contohnya menyebabkan tema-tema filem Melayu ketika tahun 50-an dan 60-an banyak menyentuh isu sosial yang melibatkan hubungan kekeluargaan dan perbezaan kelas. Filem-filem seperti Ago go 67 (1967) dan Kaca Permata (1966) memaparkan kebimbangan penulis dan pengarahnya terhadap sikap golongan anak muda yang suka berhibur. Filem Penarek Becha (1956), Antara Dua Darjat (1960) dan Ibu Mertua-ku (1962) pula menyentuh perbezaan kelas antara golongan miskin dan kaya. Peristiwa 13 Mei 1969 menyebabkan Kerajaan Malaysia telah memperkenalkan Dasar Ekonomi Baru (DEB) bagi merapatkan jurang ekonomi antara kaum. Langkah ini menyebabkan berlakunya transformasi sosial dalam masyarakat Melayu yang mewujudkan perubahan cara pemikiran terhadap isu yang berlaku di sekeliling mereka. Isu berkaitan pendidikan, ekonomi dan kepimpinan disuarakan melalui filem Abang (1981) dan Matinya Seorang Patriot (1984). Pemikiran mengenai sikap negatif orang Melayu dan kepentingan agama juga telah dikritik melalui filem Kembara Seniman Jalanan (1986). Secara keseluruhannnya, walaupun terdapat filem yang menyentuh kesan transformasi sosial terhadap sosiobudaya masyarakat, tetapi bilangannya masih rendah. Kebanyakan filem Melayu yang dihasilkan masih berteraskan hiburan. Hal ini disebabkan pembikin filem dan produser masih menganggap bahawa filem adalah sebuah perniagaan berteraskan keuntungan. \u0000 \u0000Film should capture and interprete social transformations and sociocultural aspects of a society. Narrative elements such as theme, character, setting, conflict and plot a part in portraying societal issues and challenges. These elements then become prime tools in delivering specific messages to the audience. Film thus becomes a social reflection - whereby messages portrayed in the film can be used to educate and guide audiences to become better representations of themselves in society as a whole. Based on historiography of Malay films, the narrative also showcased social transformation and sociocultural changes of Malaysian society. Factors of these transformations were influenced by the adoption of Western ideologies and entertainment lifestyle. To which, the themes surrounding Malay films in the 50’s and 60’s were social issues such as family relations and social class differences. However, waste such as seashells should not be considered as garbage simply because it has some interesting features to be used as research material. This study was conducted to analyze the physical strength and porosity rate of stoneware clay that has been mixed with organic waste to produce ceramic body. These experiments are conducted in a practical studio and apply physical test based on standard experiments. This study also discusses the potential of organic wastes such as seashells to be applied in clay bodies to produce ceramics. The researcher will conduct experiment on the sample to see the rate of porosity and strength after bisque firing 900℃ and 1000℃. The results found that a mixture of seashell powder by 10 per cent was able to improve the physical properties after firing at a temperature of 1000℃. The FC 3 sample had reached the highest strength on the strength test. Mereka percaya kepada pelbagai jenis semangat baik dan jahat. Salah satu semangat baik yang dipercayai mereka ialah komburongo, iaitu subjek kajian ini. Permasalahan yang timbul adalah komburongo mempunyai tiga identiti yang berbeza, iaitu sebagai sejenis tumbuhan, sebagai alat ritual dan sebagai semangat pembantu. Tanpa memahami ketiga-tiga identiti ini, maka seseorang tidak memahami kaitan antara ketiga-tiganya. Oleh itu, tulisan ini memberi tumpuan menganalisis ketiga-tiga identiti komburongo yang berkait dengan kepercayaan turun-temurun etnik Dusun Tobilung. Bagi mengumpul data kajian, kerja lapangan telah dijalankan di enam buah kampung yang didiami oleh etnik Dusun Tobilung. Kajian ini berasaskan prinsip grounded theory. Data kajian yang berkait dengan kepercayaan etnik Tobilung terhadap komburongo dianalisis secara interprestasi dan disokong oleh bahan kajian yang lepas. Hasil analisis mendapati komburongo mempunyai tiga identiti yang berbeza namun saling berkait, iaitu sebagai sejenis tumbuhan (jerangau), alat ritual dan semangat pembantu. Hasil analisis juga mendapati komburongo memainkan pelbagai fungsi dalam kepercayaan etnik Dusun Tobilung. Mereka memohon bantuan daripada semangat komburongo untuk menyelesaikan masalah kerohanian dan fizikal. Kajian ini penting bagi menonjolkan identiti komburongo dan juga kaitannya dengan kepercayaan turun-temurun etnik Tobilung. \u0000 \u0000A minority of the Tobilung ethnic group residing in the Kota Belud district of Sabah still adhere to their traditional beliefs, which were passed down from one generation to another. They believed in various benevolent and malevolent spirits. One of the benevolent spirits is komburongo. The issue identified here is the komburongo has three different identities, that is first, it is a kind of plant, second, a ritual tool and, third a malevolentspirit. Without knowing all these identities, one does not know the connection between them. Hence this article focuses on the analysis of these three identities of komburongo based on the traditional beliefs of the Tobilung people. To collect data, field trips have been conducted in six Tobilung villages. This study is based on the grounded theory. Data related to the beliefs in komburongo were analyzed based on interpretation and supported by the study of the past. In the analysis, the researchers found that komburongo has three identities, first, it is a plant (Acorus Calamus); second a ritual tool and third, a benevolent spirit. Besides, this study also found that there are various functions of komburongo in the beliefs system of the Tobilung. They relied on the help of komburongo for various spiritual and health problems. Pendidikan secara dalam talian adalah kaedah utama penyampaian kurikulum bagi komponen Kesenian dan Kebudayaan dalam Fasa Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) hinggalah ke Fasa Pelan Pemulihan Negara (PPN). Selepas lapan minggu pembelajaran dalam talian diadakan, tinjauan persepsi pelajar terhadap kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran khususnya komponen Kesenian dan Kebudayaan ini telah dijalankan. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menilai pengalaman baharu pelajar dengan pembelajaran dalam talian dan daya maju pendekatan kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam talian bagi komponen Kesenian dan Kebudayaan, Pusat Kokurikulum dan Pemajuan Pelajar. Matlamat kajian ini dapat dicapai dengan meneliti respons daripada 226 pelajar terhadap soal selidik berasaskan kaedah tinjauan. Maklum balas pelajar dalam bentuk skala Likert dianalisis menggunakan kaedah statistik deskriptif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa majoriti pelajar berpuas hati dengan pembelajaran dalam talian yang berterusan kerana mereka menikmati akses berterusan ke atas bahan dalam talian, fleksibiliti untuk belajar mengikut keupayaan mereka sendiri, suasana yang selesa dan keupayaan untuk bercakap dengan bebas. Namun, masalah teknikal dan isu peralatan merupakan halangan yang ketara ke atas pembelajaran bidang Kesenian dan Kebudayaan dalam talian semasa pandemik COVID-19. Pembelajaran dalam talian adalah diterima baik oleh pelajar yang mendaftar dalam komponen Kebudayaan dan Kesenian. Namun, penyepaduan pembelajaran dalam talian terhadap kurikulum bidang Kesenian dan Kebudayaan memerlukan strategi yanglebih baik dan pendekatan yang lebih proaktif. \u0000 \u0000Following the COVID-19 outbreak, educational institutions, particularly the Center for Co-curriculum and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), have made adjustments to their curriculum. Online education is the primary meansof delivering the Art and Culture components curriculums in this Movement Control Command Phase (MCO). After eight weeks of online learning, a survey of students’ perceptions of this method of instruction in the Art and Culture components was conducted. The purpose of this study was to evaluate students’ new experiences with online learning and the viability of online learning approaches for the Art and Culture component, Center for Co-curriculum and Student Development. This objective was accomplished by examining the responses of 226 students to a survey-based questionnaire. Student feedback in the form of a Likert scale was analysed using descriptive statistical methods. Sebuah karya seni mempunyai nilai estetika tersendiri bagi sesuatu karya seni itu bergantung pada falsafah atau gaya berfikir seseorang seniman dalam menyampaikan kepada masyarakat tentang makna karyanya. Estetika merupakan cabang falsafah yang mengkaji tentang keindahan yang terzahir di muka bumi ini (Kamus Dewan Edisi Keempat, 2007). Penyelidikan ini terbahagi kepada dua bahagian utama iaitu menghuraikan definisi terhadap istilah dan memperincikan karya seni yang dipilih. Penghuraian ini akan dibahagikan kepada tiga bahagian iaitu definisi terhadap istilah, definisi terhadap gaya, idea dan konteks. Penyelidikan ini menggunakan kaedah teori kritikan seni yang diperkenalkan oleh Edmund Burke Feldman (1994) untuk mentafsir maksud dan konteks yang disampaikan dalam karya seni seseorang artis. Menurut Barret (1994), kritikan seni adalah merujuk kepada makna dan pertimbangan yang kritikal terhadap karya seni yang dipertontonkan. Menurut Ahmad Suhaimi Mohd Noor dan Jamilah Omar (2008), karya seni akan lebih bermakna dengan sentuhan maksud yang ingin disampaikan dalam karya tersebut.\u0000 \u0000The purpose of this study is to understand how to perceive and appreciate works of art. A work of art has its unique aesthetic worth, which is determined by the artist’s philosophy or manner of thought when transmitting to society the meaning of his work. Aesthetics is a subfield of philosophy concerned with the study of the beauty found on this globe (Kamus Dewan Edisi Keempat, 2007). This research is divided into the two sections, the first of which discusses the phrase in further detail, and the second of which analyzes the chosen artwork. Sabah’s products are unique and competitive at its higher level. This study analyzes the quality and effectiveness of visual communication of snack product labelling to consumers according to aspects of art, design, and composition. The analysis begins with the collection of signs and the definition of each element on the label through Pierce's analytical theory and the classification approach of Stokes (2003), the design element consisting of images, letters, compositions, colours, and design displays on classified labels. Next, physical elements such as shapes and colours are interpreted by researchers. This study proves that semiotics can be used to interpret meanings and messages on the physical elements of labels. Aspects of shape and colour influence user psychology. The identity of a product can also be identified. The selection of graphic design elements on product labels can generate ideas for entrepreneurs to upgrade the quality of local products.
