The global burden of low back pain is the highest ranked condition contributing to years of living with disability. The general public, including patients living with LBP, lack knowledge about the causes and contributing factors of LBP [22].This implies that during management of LBP, patients’ knowledge about their pain should be identified and followed by education regarding their pain. This study aims to find out knowledge of rural population about low back pain and its related risk factors\u0000Methodology :This was a cross sectional study conducted on villagers visiting VikhePatil Hospital, Ahmednagar, in a duration of 6 months. The sampling method was convenient sampling with sample size of 100. A self -administered questionnaire consisting of 4 sections in Marathi language was designed. In the first three section, participants were asked about definition of Low back pain. In the fourth section, participants have to answer a 15 question quiz, focusing on general facts, symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis and treatment options for low back pain. After approval of ethical committee, consent form were collected from the subjects. The questionnaire was given to subjects according to the inclusion criteria.\u0000Result & Conclusion:- The study had 100 subjects. Approximately 58% were males, with 31% between 30-39 age .66% of samples identified the underlying mechanism of low back pain as there is some compression of nerve passing through the vertebra,57% believed cartilage on the ends of vertebra wears down over time. The majority 58% had their source of information about low back pain from other patients suffering from low back pain,54% from the internet and social media, 48% had personal experience and 82% sample knew a relative or a friend suffering with low back pain. The result of the study concluded that the rural population visiting the VikhePatil Hospital exhibited good knowledge about Low back pain and its risk factors. Some misconceptions about the general facts and risk factors were identified.\u0000

Activated areas by thermal stimulation are greater than those by tactile or mechanical stimulation. Mirror therapy creates the illusion of normal movement with the mirror image of the unaffected upper extremity. Thermal stimulation provides somatosensory stimulation that causes the forced use of the involved extremity as a protective response to heat which provokes volitional/reflexive motor activity. Somatosensory stimulation may induce brain plasticity. \u0000Purpose: This study was carried out to determine the effect of thermal stimulation and mirror therapy in the sensorimotor and functional recovery of hand in stroke patients with hand impairment. \u0000Methods: 18 stroke survivors were randomly assigned to Thermal Stimulation rehabilitation treatment and Mirror Therapy rehabilitation group (30 minutes daily for 3 weeks). Three measures, including Brunnstorm stage, Wolf motor Function Test, and Revised Nottingham Sensory Assessment scale was used as an outcome measure to assess the motor and sensory recovery. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results: The Thermal Stimulation group showed a potential trend for improved recovery stage as measured by Brunnstorm staging for motor recovery of hand as compared to the Mirror therapy group. The Thermal Stimulation group also showed a statistically significant and large improvement in tactile, proprioception and stereognosis score as measured by Revised Nottingham sensory assessment scale whereas Mirror Therapy group showed significant improvement in stereognosis score alone. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Conclusion: Thermal stimulation has more positive effect in the sensorimotor and functional recovery of hand in acute stroke patients with hand impairment within 3 weeks in comparison to Mirror Therapy. First, to find the prevalence of trunk side strain injury in cricket fast bowlers, the sample population of 30 players was divided in 15 club and 15 state (or national) level players and second, to find factors associated with the injury they were divided into injured and uninjured players where 12 were injured and 18 uninjured. We present a case of a 25-year-old male who reported five months after his mitral valve replacement, with restriction in physical activity, social and occupational participation due to disturbance caused by the constant clicking sound of the valve. Cardiac rehabilitation was implemented for four weeks. All the exercises were performed with the patient perceiving and understanding the safety of the clicking of valve to alleviate his fear. Correct patient education regarding clicking of replaced valve not only regained confidence, physical activity levels but also helped him to restart his job within four weeks of physiotherapy rehabilitation. Hence the impact of this study is that, the continuous valve noise though healthy can be a hinderance to physical activity levels and should not be underestimated.
