The main objective of the present study was to find out if internship learning contract could be beneficial in individualized self directed learning with the instructional support from supervisors in undergraduate physiotherapy program. \u0000Methods: A total of 32 physiotherapy intern students participated in this study. They were requested to complete the questionnaire and discuss with their internship supervisor. After this, intern and supervisor were separately interviewed for their opinion and satisfaction pertaining to this activity. \u0000Results: Almost every participant and supervisor liked the internship learning contract concept and there was significant level of satisfaction amongst interns and their supervisors. \u0000Conclusion: The use of a learning contract during BPT internship may be beneficial in enhancing self directed learning and instructional support.

As physiotherapy plays an important role in preventing and helping in recovering these MSDs. This study is aimed to determine the trend of musculoskeletal conditions among patients undergoing physiotherapy treatment at tertiary care hospital. In a tertiary setup, a particular trend of the disorder might help in formulating a new treatment program that will involve physiotherapy & prevention strategies.\u0000PURPOSE – To study the prevalence of musculoskeletal conditions in patients undergoing physiotherapy at tertiary care hospital.\u0000MATERIALS AND METHODS: It was a retrospective observational study in a tertiary care setup. Trends of patients having different musculoskeletal disorders have been observed from January 2022 to January 2023. The Disorders were divided into traumatic and non-traumatic categories. After arranging the data condition-wise analysis was done and the percentage of each condition was calculated accordingly. A total of (n = 6413) patient’s one-year data was analysed for different musculoskeletal conditions.\u0000RESULTS: Results showed a majority of disorders that patients in the rural setup are experiencing are lower limb fractures accounting for 44.0%, low back pain at 31.12%, and neck pain at 21.25% of all conditions.\u0000CONCLUSION: There is a high prevalence of occupation-related musculoskeletal disorders comprising back pain and neck pain under a non-traumatic domain & lower limb fracture under a traumatic domain in tertiary care hospital. Attempts should be made to educate the rural population about physiotherapy and prevention strategies related to increased work demands, to prevent trauma.\u0000

The management of Bell’s palsy involves the administration of corticosteroids and antiviral medications, physiotherapy including the use of kinesiology tape and time. This case report aims to use kinesiology tape as a rehabilitation tool for Bell’s palsy in an elderly patient with dementia. Due to the patient’s cognitive deficits associated with dementia, she had minimal participation in active rehabilitation and subsequently developed secondary impairments of drooling and ectropion. Kinesiology tape was applied to the patients face to improve facial symmetry, provide support and proprioceptive feedback. Following 10 weeks of application, the patient had reduced ectropion and eye irritation, improved facial symmetry and reduced drooling. The use of kinesiology tape in the rehabilitation of Bell’s palsy may be beneficial in those patients who have reduced capacity to participate in active rehabilitation programs.

Different postures such as forward head posture and kyphosis have been shown to alter breathing mechanism. Pulmonary function test is an important tool in the investigation of patients with respiratory pathology.\u0000Methods: A comparative study was conducted at vikhe patil memorial hospital and college, Ahmednagar. The craniovertebral angle and Pulmonary function test was taken on 40 adults.\u0000Results: The study show that Forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1 second and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate were significantly lower in the forward head posture group than in the normal group. The FEV1/FVC ratio was more in the forward head posture group than in the normal group. A positive correlation was observed between the Craniovertebral angle and the forced Expiratory Volume in 1 sec (r=0.058). while a negative correlation was observed between the Craniovertebral angle and Forced Vital Capacity (r=–0.012) and also observed between the Craniovertebral angle and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (r= -0.189).\u0000Conclusion: The pulmonary functions showed significant reduction in Young adults with Forward head posture as compared to normal craniovertebral angle. SCI patients experience a variety of physical and psychosocial challenges when they return to the community in spite of the massive efforts of rehabilitation. In patients with SCI, disability (impairments, activity limitations and participation restrictions) is very important for both patients and physicians. Hence this study aimed to see the effect of level of injury on disability among community dwelling spinal cord injury individuals. Methodology:- This study was carried out in tertiary care hospital Individuals with spinal cord injury were included according to the inclusion criteria. Disability and community integration were assessed by using Craig Handicap Assessment and Reporting Technique (CHART) and Reintegration to normal living index Result:- Statistical analysis was done using descriptive statistics of individuals.
