The problems were formulated as follows: 1). How religious culture at the university of Muhammadiyah Jember was conceptualized, 2). How the culture was created or established. This is a case study adopting a qualitative approach with 3 Blater as informants. Data were collected through: a) Participant observation, b) In-depth interviews. c) Documentation and literature review. This concept is then reflected in the integrative-interconnected religious curriculum applied at the University of Muhammadiyah Jember, linking one with another. Meanwhile, the concept of Islamic study in the creation of religious culture on campus environment of the university is through the implementation of learning in and outside the classroom, for example, the implementation of several activities outside the classroom is due to solid lecturers, especially AIK lecturers, with activities that include mentoring, social activities, congregational prayer, whereas in-class activities follow the standard of the curriculum of the university. In addition, strategies for establishing religious culture at the university were done through two strategies: cultural and structural. Kyai is usually considered as a source of absolute power and authority in the life and environment of pesantren (i.e., Islamic boarding schools). So all policies both from the purpose up to implementation come from one authority. Kyai controls all sectors of Islamic boarding school. This fact normally leads to the formation of absolute authority by Kyai. Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Fanani Islamic Boarding School, based on the results of a preliminary study, provides a different portrait in comparison with other Islamic boarding schools. Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Fanani Islamic Boarding School, which was founded by Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember, becomes an interesting phenomenon to study. The questions of this study were formulated as follows: 1. What form of authority is applied in the Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Fanani boarding school? 2. What factors support and inhibit leadership in Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Fanani Islamic boarding school? 3. How does leadership authority affect the existence of ‘santri’ in the Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Fanani boarding school? This study aimed to find a comprehensive picture of the leadership model in Al-Fanani boarding school. This study employed a qualitative approach involving interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique was triangulation. The findings show that, first, the form of authority is traditional. Second, the supporting factor is rote learning becomes the authority of each teacher (ustadz), not the leader. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor lies in the difference between the status of ‘santri’ from ordinary students. The difference between private and public schools is no longer significant. Competition and competitive nature of private and public schools require new changes and conceptions where management of educational institutions is concerned. The implementation of a full-day-school system in Indonesia cannot be separated from the phenomena related to ‘superior schools’ back in the 1990s—many of which were pioneered by private schools, especially those that were motivated by implementing Islamic values. Such schools are usually referred to as schools that focus primarily on the quality of the teaching and learning processes rather than on the quality of students input. Today, full day school has become a trending topic or, in the language of information technology, viral in conjunction with the mandate from the Minister of Education and Culture no 23/2017 relating to School Days. Full day schools are increasingly popular and recognized by the wider community. This study employed a survey method involving a quantitative approach. Respondents were 69 students and 90 parents. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire consisting of 43 questions for students and 51 questions for parents. The findings of this study revealed that the level of student satisfaction for basic educational services provided by Integral Lukman Al-Hakim primary school Jember reached 99.9% with 52.17% were very satisfied and 47.82% were quite satisfied. Meanwhile, the level of satisfaction of parents reached 84.45%. with 16.67% were very satisfied and 67.78% were quite satisfied. The remaining 15.55%, however, were not satisfied. Santri are the first consumer of the service management provided by educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. As the main consumer, there is a need for a good and orderly management system for santri so that the objectives of Islamic boarding schools are more directed and can be optimally achieved. Hence, Islamic boarding schools have to carry out resource management for santri so they are able to recruit santri who are truly qualified, are able to adapt, and can put visions and missions of the school into practice. Formulations of this study are as follows: 1. How to design Santri resource planning at Bairul Arqom Islamic Boarding School, Balung? 2. What systems are used for the purpose of recruitment and selection of Santri at Bairul Arqom Islamic Boarding School, Balung? 3. What type of orientation and placement processes of Santri resources are used in Bairul Arqom Islamic Boarding School, Balung?, and 4. How santri resources at Islamic Boarding School Bairul Arqom Islamic Boarding School, Balung, are evaluated? The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data obtained through argumentation. Sources of the data are from interviews, observation and documentation of the data owned by the Islamic boarding school. The results show that activities in santri resource management carried out in Baitul Arqom Islamic boarding school, Balung, are as follows: 1. The design of Santri resource planning is periodically designed and arranged based on the needs and results of discussion among selected committee, 2. Open recruitment patterns involve external sources (e.g., alumni recommendation), and the selection processes involve administrative selection. 3. The orientation is done formally in the form of Khutbatul asry and a week of introduction, 4. Family is the onset for children to grow and develop. The growth and development of children is characterized by maturity of organs from the age of the baby to adulthood. Meanwhile, family also constitutes an important part for children's education, especially in terms of character building and personality. Discussion about the development of children’s character and personality means we face a situation where culture and lifestyle of parents are highly influential in the process. The closest environment has the strongest influence in forming children's habits. The problems of this study were formulated as follows: 1. what is the role of the family in shaping children’s character? 2. What efforts does the family make in children’s character building? The purpose of this study is to describe the role and efforts of the family in shaping the character of children. The approach used was qualitative involving library research (literature). The results of the study showed that the role of the family in building children's character can be done through hearing, vision and the heart. Realization of these goals require recitation of subjects learning resources that support the learning process. Based on the results of preliminary studies in the field through observation and interviews found that the majority of junior high school students in grade VII Tahfidz Al-Amien had difficulty in learning Tajweed with a variety of different reasons including: the difficulty distinguishing between a legal reading by reading other law, the difficulty in pronunciation hijaiyah letter and the application of the rules of tajweed in reading the Qur'an, and the lack of teaching materials used in the presentation of examples, explanations, and practice questions. Another problem lies in the learning process is emphasized only on the ability of students to memorize rules and examples without being to understand the concept of the examples and rules. So what happened next is when the learning activities students completed only good in theory but weak in application. One alternative to solve these problems is to design and develop instructional materials. The research objective of this development was to produce a package of teaching materials tajwid subjects designed and developed according to the characteristics and learning needs of junior high school students in grade VII Tahfidz Al-Amien. The model used in developing these materials is Dick & Carey model. Teenagers tend to gather in one favourite place and make the place a ‘base camp’ for the group. Popular places such as cafes, wi-fi areas and others constitute a favourite place for teens to gather and socialize. A sense of comfort in that place is basically a prospect for Islamic preaching in providing religious knowledge. This condition, however, also poses a challenge for Islamic preaching requiring high level of creativity in practice. Improvisation in giving knowledge of Islam, therefore, is a necessity. Improvisation in raising religious awareness is needed so that teenagers feel comfortable in accepting Islamic values. The study adopted a qualitative approach. The participants were selected using purposive sampling comprising primary and secondary data. Primary data were data that were obtained directly from observations and interviews, while secondary data were obtained primarily from analysing some documents. The study was conducted in the sub-district area of Ambulu. The techniques for collecting data included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, data display and verification (conclusion drawing). To test the validity of the data analysis, triangulation technique was carried out. Discussion of Muhammadiyah-based education cannot be separated from the figure of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, involving the focus of ultimate truth to capture what was implicit in Al-Manaar's interpretation so that although he did not have a western education, he was able to open the gate of rationality through the teachings of Islam itself, which was called ijtihad. By rejecting taqlid. KH. Ahmad Dahlan can be regarded as a \"model\" in the generation of revival which is a \"central point\" of a movement that appears to overcome the challenges facing Islam in the form of backwardness and stagnation in the Islamic educational system. Unlike a number of national figures in his days who were more concerned with political and economic issues, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan devoted himself fully in the field of education. Based on this description, this study aimed to investigate the concept of Islamic education from KH. Ahmad Dahlan’s perspectives. In particular, the direction of this study was to understand the goals of Islamic education according to K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, the conceptualisation of Islamic education curriculum according to K. Ahmad Dahlan, as well as the methods of Islamic educational practice according to K. AH Ahmad Dahlan. The study was library research with the technique for data collection including documentation conducted through looking for data about things or variables in the form of notebook transcripts, newspapers, magazines, inscriptions, minutes, meetings, agendas, and so on. Data analysis were carried out through descriptive analysis. The findings of this study revealed that the perspectives of KH.
