Mythological materials and thinking have been penetrated and regenerated in contemporary literary writings, forming unique creative writing against socialist realism aesthetics. The article explores some specific poetics of mythological spaces in Vietnamese narratives since 1986. Through the analysis of spatial aesthetics in some works written by Pham Thi Hoai, Nguyen Huy Thiep, Ta Duy Anh, Chau Dien, and Nguyen Xuan Khanh, the article points out the distinctions of mythological spaces, including the binary spaces, the spiritual and legendary spaces, and the symbolic spaces.","PeriodicalId":283579,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125125086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The content of professional socialization comprised four variables including teaching skill, professional training, association with senior colleagues, and organizational environment. Effective socialization was defined as the level of job satisfaction with the organizational culture and professional learning programs. The survey method, with a detailed valid questionnaire, was used to collect the data from randomly selected sample from the various strata, i.e., 150 beginning English teachers. The data was passed through descriptive univariate analysis first and then linear and multiple regression tests were conducted. The results presented a positive relationship between effective socialization (DV) and individual variable of socialization content (IV). The study also discovered many challenges to effective socialization process related to teachers’ classroom management, individual and institutional professional learning program, attitudes and counselling from senior colleagues and headteachers, adjustment to organizational culture and practices. The study suggested a need to focus on workplace learning programs with a mind shift from off-the-job trainings to the real-life mentoring and socialization programs. The study hopes to contribute in addressing the significant issue of second language teacher education and professional socialization and how well the potential challenges can be addressed.","PeriodicalId":283579,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133198622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is no surprise that the aviation industry has been hit hardest by the Corona Virus. The current research makes an effort to identify the post effect of Covid-19 on the aviation industry in Belgium, Albania, Austria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Turkey and United Kingdom. The study explained the magnitude or impact of Covid cases and Covid deaths on Airline traffic, Freight traffic and Passenger traffic. To meet the objectives of the current study the two models have been tested separately. In the first model, we tested the impact of Covid cases on the study variables Airline Traffic, Freight Traffic and Passenger Traffic. In second model, we tested the impact of Covid deaths on the study variables Airline Traffic, Freight Traffic and Passenger Traffic. The study also applied the Augmented Dicker’s fully test to measure the stationarity of data. Results of the panel data showed that Covid cases as well as Covid deaths posed a significant declining impact on Air traffic, Freight traffic and Passenger traffic. Furthermore, VAR, Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Variance Decomposition has been applied for describing shocks, quantifying shocks and explaining intra and inter dependencies between the study variables in detail.","PeriodicalId":283579,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114326142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data used in this study issecondary data from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), namely Sakernas of 2008-2018 with panel data type. Data was analysed using panel data regression analysis. The results show that several variables have a significant effect on employment opportunities for youth labour, namely the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), the Basic Education Level of Young Workers, the Secondary Education Level of Young Workers, and the Higher Education Level of Young Workers. These mean that there is no trade off between elderly and young workers. It could be because of the job positions in these two age groups are likely to be different, so that there is no positions’ substitution for elderly and young workers, and the positions entered by these elderly workers are positions that require a fairly high work experience.","PeriodicalId":283579,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133089866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The samples were 400 undergraduates of Rajabhat Mahasarakham University, collected by The MultiStage sampling technique. The research tool was a five-rating scaled questionnaire. The data was analysed by employing descriptive statistics and the factor analysis with LISREL Mplus. The results revealed that EF and PMI were able to explain the variation of PB with 72.00 percent. EF had the most direct effect on PB with an effect of 0.45, subsequently was PMI with an effect of 0.42. Moreover, EF had an effect on PMI with an effect of 0.31 and was able to predict the variation of PMI with 75.00 percent. The structural equation model of EF affecting PB through PMI verified the proposed model. It fitted with all observed variables in line with the criteria of a ChiSquare/df value less or equal to 1.929 and it was less than or equal to 5.00 ( χ /df 5.00 2 ). RMSEA (Root Mean Square Error Approximation) equalled 0.045 (RMSEA < 0.05) and RMR (Root Mean Square Residual) equalled 0.024 (RMR < 0.05) and included the index level of model congruent value of Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) equal to 0.95, and Adjust Goodness of Fit Index (AGFI) equal to 0.93, which are between 0.90-1.00.","PeriodicalId":283579,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change","volume":"27 Suppl 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124571226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A teaching-learning experience has been developed through the ECO method (Explore, Create, Offer), which is an innovative methodology inspired by Human Centred Design, Design Thinking, and challenge-based learning. The aim of the study was twofold: a) to check whether pre-service teachers perceive that their teaching competencies have improved after this experience; b) to find out the relationships between their perception of the different competencies and certain socio-demographic characteristics. A Likert-type questionnaire on teaching competencies before and after the experience was conducted. 92 participants took part in the pre-test and 66 in the post-test. The results show an improvement in the perception of their competencies at the end of the experience and high levels of motivation throughout the course. These improvements occurred regardless of socio-demographic characteristics such as age or educational background. It is concluded that the ECO method favours the acquisition of competencies, fosters motivation, and offers equal learning opportunities, thus fulfilling the democratising function of the university.","PeriodicalId":283579,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change","volume":"172 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131275651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
