The current ring is placed outside the supplement of a sphere with a hole to a closed hollow sphere. The method of operator semi-inversion of the problem, the method of separation of variables in the spherical system coordinates and of the solution of Abel integral equations are used. The infinite system of linear algebraic equations of the second kind with a compact operator in a Hilbert space is obtained. Efficient solvability of algebraic equations of the problem is justified. Some limiting variants of the problem are investigated. Some resonant frequencies of the structure are considered.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128496783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is found out that mutual electromagnetic interaction between antennas of plasma array is weaker than that in metallic arrays. This allows simplifying technology of matching the plasma array with microwave transmitter or receiver, and reducing the antenna spacing to make plasma antenna arrays more compact and weigh less. It is noted that weak interaction between plasma antennas within arrays or between plasma antennas and other metallic antennas placed nearby, for example on space, air or land mobile objects, enables to improve electromagnetic compatibility of electronic systems at such objects.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131573369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such a scenario arises in many applications, and array operations in underwater sound channels with emphasis on long-range sound propagation is one of the most typical cases. Another key issue is here the multimode propagation of the desired signal (and, generally, noise interference) so the spatial spectrum of the received field consists of numerous harmonics even for a single point source. In this paper, our focus is to demonstrate numerically the multimode signal coherence degradation at the large-array input, both for horizontal and vertical arrays in an underwater channel, and to predict the coherence effects on the output performance, array beampattern and gain included. The vertical array operation is emphasized to be the most interesting problem here due to the specific features of ambient noise in real oceanic channels. An essential conclusion concerns the fact that not only the signal coherence but signal localization in mode domain as is compared with the ambient noise affect together the array output performance.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129275760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a rigorous formulation of the problem cases of single slots and multi-slot systems are analyzed. The elongated dielectric insertions s (in the form of infinitely long layers) and local ones (a “plug” of finite length which completely covers the cross-section of the waveguide) as well as the dielectric inserts partially filling the narrow slots are considered. Particular attention is paid to the definition of the field excited by a magnetic current. A possibility of solving the excitation problem by means of expanding the unknown fields in terms of waveguide eigen waves is discussed. Some results of the calculations are presented.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130965345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
