The antenna arrays consist of a printed one-dimensional periodic metal strip grating on a grounded dielectric waveguide and designed for broadside radiation. The first antenna array has a hybrid structure with a feeding device for the planar dielectric waveguide, represented by a center-fed linear slot waveguide array. The second antenna array has a simple single-layer structure with a feeding device, formed by a comb line using the central strip of the grating. The investigated examples of both kinds of arrays exhibit low return loss at frequencies of broadside radiation. The radiation efficiency of antennas exceeds 50 % at frequencies of up to 37-37.5 GHz, while the antenna gain is above 30 dBi.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132429292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed technique is based on the two-stage algorithm. The first stage is to determine the radiation sources from the data of near-field measurements by the “dual method of minimum spatial extent.” The second stage is to calculate the far-field radiation pattern from the restored source distribution. The radiation sources are modeled by a set of ideal Hertzian dipoles. The case of the one-dimensional array of electric dipoles is considered. The basic features of proposed technique are briefly discussed and numerical simulations are presented.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131052547","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper examines the possibility of implementing the combined radar-acoustic antenna (CRAA), which is placed on the horizontal-axis wind turbine for the horizontal radio-acoustic wind sounding system (HRASS). The main antenna feature is the use of the developed antenna parametric working mode at acoustic waves, which ensures the high directivity of the acoustic probing radiation at the limited antenna aperture. The basic version of the CRAA design, intended for installation on the horizontal-axis wind turbine includes an ring multi-element acoustic radiator, in the interior of which the pulse-Doppler radar antenna unit is installed. The radio-acoustic hardware operates in accordance with the special quasicontinuous mode when using radio pulses of large spatial extent, together with short acoustic pulses","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"330 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122743064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared with previous works, efforts have been focused on solving these problems as applied to the MIMO systems, in which a problem emerges to choose an all-purpose lens profile to ensure the same conditions for increasing directional properties of the two (or more) antennas. This has required the development of a methodology for calculating the lens profile with allowance for two (or more) phase centers. The second factor that distinguishes the presented results is related to the analysis of the range properties of the lens and working out recommendations on the use of it in the frequency range used for servicing users in this standard. It seems rational to calculate lenses for a maximum wavelength that allows providing its relative transparency (and, consequently, certain efficiency) for shorter wavelengths range used, but with worse directional characteristics.","PeriodicalId":283310,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125235757","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
