Asl-Soleimani","doi":"10.1109/IRANIANCEE.2010.5507047","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/IRANIANCEE.2010.5507047","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, the effect of Floating-Body (FB) on the Negative Bias Temperature Instability (NBTI) degradation of undoped double-gate (DG) MOSFETs is modeled and investigated through solving the one-dimensional (1-D) Poisson's equation considering the NBTI effect in the inversion region. The accuracy of the model is verified by the finite difference method (FDM). The results of the model are in very good agreement with those of the numerical method. These results show that in FB devices, the accumulation of the NBTI stress generated electrons in the device floating body, leads to a decrease in the body potential, oxide field, and inversion charge and as a result decrease the generation of interface traps and degradation of device. Two different methods of impedance matching and dielectric shaping are applied to enhance the antenna performance. Both simulated and measured results show clearly an ultra wide-bandwidth operation of more than 10.5 GHz ranging from 1.5 GHz to 12 GHz. RMMAC was originally developed to control open-loop stable plants. We formulate and study the problem of robust adaptive control of open-loop unstable plants with structured and unstructured uncertainty in the presence of external disturbances and measurement noises, an issue that poses considerable theoretical and practical challenges. In particular, we show, with the help of an example, how a slight modification of the technique introduced in previous work on the RMMAC for stable plants yields a methodology that has the potential to deal with unstable plants. The used methods include different active and passive shielding, such as Helmholtz configurations, locally compensation coils, superconducting bulks and μ-metal shields. For the passive shielding approach, using FEM simulation we have investigated the shielding effectiveness of superconducting bulks versus the use of μ-metal shielding. The superconducting shield is a YBCO circular bulk, which was made using melt-texture method and located in a distance in front of the SQUID. Minimization of total load shedding considering loads importance has great significance in these situations. This problem requires simultaneous optimization of two or more conflicting objectives, such as minimization of the total load shedding, minimization of transmission lines over loadings and voltage violations minimization. The objectives are in conflict since the improvement of one of them leads to the deterioration of another. A modified version of Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) is used as an effective optimization tools for solving the minimum weighted load shedding problem during contingency conditions. Also relation between transmission lines overloading and amount of load shedding is surveyed. In this paper, we investigate the effect of the terminal load impedance of the antennas on the MIMO capacity in the presence of the mutual coupling. We use a new concept of receiving mutual impedances to model the MC effect, which has been shown to have a much better performance than the conventional open-circuit voltage method in different applications of array antennas. While doing the study, it is assumed that there is a communication subsystem on-board responsible for gathering the information sent by a number of ground data collection platforms. The subsystem which operates based on Store-And-Forward (SAF) scenario, contains two communication links, one for receiving data from ground platforms (Store case), and the other for forwarding the stored data to an Earth station (Forward case). In fact, the current work aims to improve the volume of the data forwarded to Earth station. To this end, the Forward case bit rate is varied adaptively, and then by analyzing the power budget in a practical condition, the improvement achieved is evaluated. The results specifically obtained for a sample (data collecting) LEO satellite shows that utilizing adaptive bit rate instead of fixed bit rate can increase the daily data exchange up to about 100%. One of the famous methods of Hysteresis modeling is Preisach model. In this numerical method hysteresis is modeled by linear combination of smaller hysteresis loops as an elemental operator and local memory. In this paper we discuss those Radial Base artificial neural networks (RBF) which provides natural settings in accordance with the Preisach model. It is shown that the proposed approach can represent hysteresis modeling accurately in compare with classical Preisach model and can be used for many applications such as hysteresis nonlinearity control, hysteresis identification and realization for performance evaluation and system design. One of the well-known data compression algorithms is Deflate which is designed based on the LZ method. Deflate method has three different modes where its second mode is applicable for real-time applications. In this mode, a certain static table of Huffman codes is employed during the coding procedure. In this paper, a new version of deflate algorithm is proposed and implemented in hardware. In the proposed method, a new basic coding table is employed. This table is modified adaptively based on the input sequence. Simulation results show that in this adaptive algorithm, the coding performance is improved.
