In traffic monitoring applications, cameras are usually mounted far from each other to cover wide areas. As such, object features (i.e., color information, shape, and direction) change significantly from one camera to another. These space-time differences raise serious challenges on efficient tracking. In this paper, we have presented a probabilistic model to solve the multicamera tracking task in a network of disjoint view cameras, with attention paid on estimating the density function of different features such as space-time, appearance, and especially neighboring vehicles' relationships. As in highways each group of vehicles usually tend to keep their distances, using the similarity of neighboring vehicles plays an important role in finding the correspondent vehicles. A graph-based approach is used to solve the assignment problem. Experimental results show the efficiency of the proposed tracking method.","PeriodicalId":282587,"journal":{"name":"2010 18th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125942660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides, Unit Maintenance Scheduling (UMS) as a mid-term plan has a significant effect on the Genco's profit in a power market. In a regulated power system, UMS is usually determined by a central system, such as System Operator (SO). On the other hand, in a de-regulated power system, UMS is determined through multiple interactions between the market players, mainly Gencos and SO. Considering these, it would be a desire to solve both short term and mid-term problems, in a single framework. In this case, Gencos can offer a price curve with an outlook to mid-term goals in a game-theoretic approach. The approach would be based on some predictions of parameters such as production cost factors. This article, addresses the uncertainty in the cost factors of a Rival-Genco in a fuzzy game theoretic scheme and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":282587,"journal":{"name":"2010 18th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115660703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The refractive index of the nonlinear central row of the coupler is increased by the pump signal. Hence, it works in the nonlinear state and the light is guided to the cross output. We have tried to reduce the required power for switching and increase the coupling efficiency by modifying the bends structure in the directional coupler which is implemented in square lattice. Therefore, the input signal beam can be controlled to be exchanged between two output ports to earn the highest output power ratio and the smallest amount of power required for nonlinear performance.","PeriodicalId":282587,"journal":{"name":"2010 18th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123112135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In high orders, the new window has main-lobe width equal to Hamming window, while featuring 2∼4 dB smaller maximum side-lobe peak. For low orders, the window parameters are modified to have smaller main-lobe width compared to Hamming window, while maintaining smaller maximum side-lobe peak. Our results indicate performance improvement of the proposed window compared to Kaiser and Gaussian windows. A comparison with Dolph-Chebyshev window is also presented. The FIR filters designed by windowing method show the efficiency of the new window.","PeriodicalId":282587,"journal":{"name":"2010 18th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114474166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also this is the first related-key attack on 9-round AES-256 that needs only 2 keys. In this approach, the high order, coupled, nonlinear two-point boundary value problem (TPBVP) derived from the Pontryagin's maximum principle is transformed into a sequence of decoupled linear TPBVP's. By solving the proposed linear TPBVP sequence in a recursive manner, the optimal control law and the optimal trajectory are determined in terms of uniformly convergent series. Hence, to obtain the optimal solution, only the techniques of solving linear ordinary differential equations (ODE's) are employed. Another important factor is that the computational structure of the proposed technique can effectively utilize the parallel processing facilities, from which a significant reduction of computational time can be obtained. Besides, a control design algorithm with low computational complexity and fast convergence rate is presented. Through the finite iterations of the algorithm, a closed-form expression is obtained for the suboptimal control law. Finally, a numerical example is included to demonstrate the computational efficiency and high accuracy of the proposed technique.","PeriodicalId":282587,"journal":{"name":"2010 18th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124210827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
