Despite the strong security model, SGX has a fundamental limitation in its memory capacity. An SGX-enabled processor has 128 MB of the trusted memory region, called enclave page cache. Due to the limited EPC size, loading and running memory-intensive secure applications is limited. We can use SGX paging, adjusting heap sizes to accommodate secure applications in SGX enclaves. However, the performance impact of memory pressure has not been thoroughly investigated. In this paper, we analyze the relationship between the memory footprint of the secure application with the performance. According to our analysis, we show that the memory footprint of the enclave heap could negatively affect the performance of the latency-sensitive application. Besides, we show that we can effectively mitigate performance degradation by adjusting the maximum heap size.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122230472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One challenging issue is to build an anomaly detection model using normal data because collecting potential abnormal data is quite difficult. In this paper, we build an anomaly detection model using just normal data based on adversarial autoencoder for acoustic data. After extracting features using the trained model, we apply a distance-based method for calculating a threshold to be used for anomaly detection. In particular, we propose a method for reflecting differences in dimensions in calculating distance. Through experiments, we show that the proposed dimension-aware distance measure improves anomaly detection accuracy by up to 7% compared to existing distance measure methods.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"311 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126612838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent studies on cellular mobile networks, such as 3GPP LTE, have shown that MU-MIMO indeed greatly improves the delay and throughput performance, compared to single user (SU)-MIMO. However, there is no study explicitly comparing the 802.11ax and the legacy Wi-Fi in the uplink delay and throughput perspectives. This paper presents numerical comparison of uplink MU- and SU-MIMO on the delay and throughput performance.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114150903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The tiny wavelength in THz allows us to pack massive antenna elements onto a small aperture size. As the number of antenna elements scales, it is critical to improving the energy efficiency in the baseband processing while maintaining spectral efficiency performance. In this paper, we present a two-stage precoding method that achieves the MIMO channel capacity with significantly reduced computational complexity. The principal idea is to decompose a uniform planner array (UPA) into a superposition of multi-layered uniform circular subarrays (UCAs) at both ends. Thanks to the structure of the circulant channel matrix between the subarrays, the proposed precoding exploits the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)-based inner precoding per subarray conjunction with singular value decomposition (SVD) outer precoding per eigen-mode. We show that this two-stage precoding method provides a multiplicative gain in the computational complexity reduction compared to the conventional SVD precoding.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"49 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121015993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the main goal of the AR service itself is to provide the user the visualized computing experience in their life, the systematic requirements include the real-time performance since the service should be reacting to the user’s state which changes dynamically over time. This kind of real-time response is often very hard to achieve on typical edge devices such as mobile phone or AR goggles due to lack of computational power. To overcome this issue, many of the researches suggest server offloading technique which can provide sufficient amount of computational power in exchange of the transmission overhead. The tradeoff relationship between the computational power and transmission overhead makes the control of the offloading procedure important for the overall service quality. In this paper we propose an RL based server-client controlling scheme REINDEAR. REINDEAR is a system that conducts class-wise characteristic analysis from the experience, so that it could control the AR service tradeoff quality adaptively. From the result of the experiments, we showed that our REINDEAR system learns the underlying behavioural patterns of video objects and provides controls that suits each pattern.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116730493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This class of services could be considered as the most challenging and intriguing part because achieving low latency and ultra-high reliability at the same time is hard. In the 3rd Generation Partnership Project(3GPP) standard, a general URLLC requirement is 99.999% target reliability with 1 ms (two-way) user-plane latency. The reliability here is defined as the percentage of packets that are correctly received within the delay budget. In this paper, a relay selection algorithm based on the Finite Blocklength (FBL) regime is proposed to satisfy high reliability and low latency required in URLLC of 5G systems, using the genetic algorithm (GA). The simulation results showed better performance of the proposed algorithm than of the fixed relay selection.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121663615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, we implement the three-dimensional (3D) scanner with the size of 1.5 × 1.5 × 1.5 m (movable range of approximately 1.3 × 1.3 × 1.3 m). We can obtain the multipath fading variation precisely within the 3D scanner. We present the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurement results employing LoRa modules in the magnetic shield room. In this paper, we propose a method for predicting game outcome in MOBA games. Firstly, we extract features that contain the properties of the game outcome from game replay logs, taking into account game time. And then we implement a model for predicting the game outcome and interpret which features are important factors in the model. Experimental results show that the proposed method has high accuracy enough to predict the game outcome at a certain time point. It also analyzes the main play factors of game outcome for each game time zone.","PeriodicalId":282243,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122714142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
