In this paper, we propose a homogeneous and secure weighted clustering algorithm which is an extended version of our previous algorithm (ES-WCA) for mobile WSNs using a combination of five metrics. Among these metrics lie the behavioral level metric which promotes a safe choice of a cluster head in the sense where this last one will never be a malicious node. The goals of the proposed algorithm are: offering better performance in terms of the number of re-affiliations which enables to generate a reduced number of balanced and homogeneous clusters. This algorithm, coupled with suitable routing protocols, aims to maintain stable clustering structure. We use simulation study to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116227628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve the problem of delay time which is unpredictable, direct teleoperation architecture is proposed. This architecture allow s us to minimize the trajectory error of the robot movement which is controlled via the internet. This work also demonstrates the use of virtual reality in the context of the remote control. Virtual reality can be used in a conventional manner to simulate the behavior of a system, but also in parallel with the real system to improve quality control. To validate our work, we conducted teleoperation experiments in various places. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed architecture.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114179644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is one of the most frequently used pre-processing methods to analyze different types of images. Thinning consists basically of reducing a thick digital object into a thin skeleton. There are several thinning algorithms for getting a skeleton of a binary image in the literature. The most popular, and well proved one is the ZS algorithm proposed by Zheng and Suen. In the present paper, we propose a new thinning algorithm which combines the directional approach used by ZS and the subfield approach in order to produce a new hybrid thinning algorithm which is more efficient, produces thinner results (skeleton thickness is equal to one) than the ZS algorithm and solves the ZS's loss of connectivity problem in 2×2 squares. Results of applying the proposed algorithm on a variety of binary images and comparison with ZS algorithm show better results in terms of thinning rate, thinning speed, visual quality and connectivity preservation.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122054945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The control algorithm employs a robust H∞ controller to regulate the blood glucose level in diabetic patients. Diabetes mellitus is a kind of chronic metabolic diseases in which body's blood glucose regulatory system doesn't function properly. In this study, Bergman's minimal model has been used as a base model, to increase the functionalities of the glucose minimal model, some additions could be done. One of the additions is the exercise model and since it is hard to derive exact value of parameters in most biological systems, all parameters of the model has been considered uncertain and therefore parametric uncertainty has been exploited in control design. The control scheme is based on closed-loop feedback strategy. The behavior of the obtained controller was analyzed on ability to track a normoglycemic set point of 81mg/dl in presence of disturbance and course tracking of the closed loop with the nominal system and the system with perturbed parameters. The designed controller proved effective in achieving normoglycaemic and robust to meal and exercise disturbances.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129230211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, the subsystems in PWA models that represent these converters do not share any equilibrium or may not have any one, so that, no strict convergence to any average equilibrium is expected. For this reason, we have opted for practical stabilization that calculates the exact coordinates of the convergence point such that the stabilization error will be known with precision. Using hybrid formalism, a BMI (Bilinear Matrix Inequality) formulation for the design control and the multi-observer one is proposed, both systems i.e. the PWA model and the multi-observer are separately treated as switched systems with a synchronization process. The proposed approach is based on a single Lyapunov-like function and an appropriate continuous state space partition. Power electronic devices are excellent examples of switched and PWA systems that exhibit complicated phenomena and pose still theoretical challenges. Promising simulation results are obtained for all treated examples.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116482490","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first one is the use of geometric information for the binary test instead of the classical intensity binary test, to get more precision in the description step. The second one is to attribute two bits for each test, to increase the distinctiveness level. This approach offers high distinctiveness against affine transformations and appearance changes. The experimental evaluation shows that MOBIL achieves a quite good performance in term of low computation complexity and high recognition rate compared to state-of-the-art real-time local descriptors.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114837539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The signs in both of them are realized with one naked hand and simple background. DCT, DWT and PCA for spatial reduction method. Although PCA has been used before in sign language as a dimensionality reduction technique, it is used here as a descriptor that represents a global image feature. Finally we combine the features to improve the recognition rate (RR) and an error rate(ER) where DWT combined with the PCA using PNN classifier achieves RR 80.2% and ER 3.90% for Arabic database. Problems that are serious or reoccur are the obvious ones to concentrate on. Observed problems can be caused by more than one phenomenon. However the problem that was observed on the Alsat-1 battery module where some cells were damaged, and the damage was caused by the extreme temperatures, an explanation can be brought to this problem is that the two different inserts (simple insert and hard insert) are very close which caused an increase in heat flux. The inserts used to support the battery in the honeycomb panel have a serious impact on the conduction from the solar panel to the battery pack, and so the temperature of the solar panel closer to the battery determines its temperature. Thus for this reason the simulation was performed to see carefully this phenomenon caused by the thermal coupling of the surrounding inserts and the important feedback from the results obtained in order to avoid all risky design in the future on the Algerian satellites such as Alsat-1B. Thermal simulations showed that the adjacent inserts cause thermal interference and the adjacent inserts are highly sensitive to the effect of high temperatures. The different results obtained in this paper are very helpful in the preliminary design stage of the spacecraft and which is a very promising application in the design of satellite electrical power subsystem.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132251105","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More precisely, this study is an attempt to investigate a novel fuzzy adaptive controller for achieving an appropriate projective synchronization of uncertain fractional-order chaotic systems. The adaptive fuzzy systems are utilized to online estimate unknown system nonlinearities. The proposed controller, which is derived based on a Lyapunov approach, is continuous and ensures the stability of the closed-loop system and the exponential convergence of the underlying synchronization errors to a small residual set. Finally, a simulation example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization method.","PeriodicalId":281793,"journal":{"name":"2015 3rd International Conference on Control, Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134178491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
