Fault detection can be investigated by generating residuals. These residuals can be generated using different methods. One of the finest methods for generating residuals is to use unknown input observers (UIO). Faults can be detected and isolated simply with the help of the generated residuals, where the. In this context, the wind energy conversion system (WECS) is equipped with a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) and two back-to-back five-level Neutral-Point-Clamped (NPC) converters in the rotor circuit. The modeling and the control of the five-level converter is presented. For controlling the DC-link voltage of the five-level rectifier, the proposed control algorithm consists of controlling the average value of the DC-link voltage. A vector control of the rotor side converter (RSC) provides an independent control of the generated active and reactive power and optimal speed tracking for maximum energy capture from the wind. An intelligent fuzzy inference system was proposed as alternative of the conventional proportional-integral (PI) controller in the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control system; three fuzzy controllers are used in the RSC for the speed, stator active and reactive power control. Each converter is considered with two cells and represented as a hybrid system with four modes of operation. Indirect control of stator active and reactive powers is used in order to generate the references of rotor currents in d-q axis reference frame. These currents will be maintained using hybrid control based on the determination of switching sequences from a mode of the converters to another based on the dynamics of the converter modes. Stemming is frequently useful in text categorization to reduce the size of terms vocabulary, and in information retrieval to improve the search effectiveness and then gives us relevant results. In this paper, we propose a new multilingual stemmer based on the extraction of word root and in which we use the technique of n-grams. Hence, their reliability, productivity, safety and availability are very important issues that are imposed to increase production with quality assurance as per given specification at a reasonable cost. Furthermore, because the bearing faults are the most frequent and critical defects in rotating machinery that may have a direct influence on the availability of the machine itself and also on those of the surrounding systems, a particular interest is carried in this paper to the analysis and diagnosis of these defects which can appear in the bearing's ball, inner race and outer race with various fault severity and rotating speed. This paper consists of the application of the Discrete Wavelet Transform DWT and Fast Fourier Transform FFT theories to extract the amplitude of the fundamental bearing defect frequencies in the vibration signal from a rotating machine. These parameters will be used by the Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System ANFIS to automate the fault detection and diagnosis process. The approach is useful in both hierarchic control structure and hybrid control structure where the decision is distributed among the robotic cell entities that are products and resources (robots). Particularly, the approach make use of scheduling/dispatching rules and a harmony search optimization process coupled to a discreet event model of the studied manufacturing system, modeled in the FlexSim simulation software. Target system consists of the Valenciennes's AIP PRIMECA robotic assembly cell (France) that represents a hard declination of the flexible job shop scheduling problem. In many applications, the robot's environment changes with time in a way that is not predictable by the designer in advance. In addition, the knowledge about the environment is often imprecise and incomplete due to the limited perceptual quality of sensors. In order to equip the robot by capacity of autonomy and intelligence in its environment, the control system must perform much complex information and processing tasks in real time, and it is well suited to use the soft-computing techniques. The objective of this paper is to elaborate and compare simple intelligent control systems for the path following behavior by an autonomous mobile robot using the most known approaches of the artificial intelligence science: fuzzy, neuro and neuro-fuzzy controllers. The proposed controllers are used for pursuing a moving target. The obtained simulation results show the effectiveness of the designed controllers. Attributes such as age and gender can be used in many real life application such as face recognition and internet safety for minors. In this paper, we present a novel approach for age estimation and gender classification under uncontrolled conditions following the standard protocols for fair comparaison. Our proposed approach is based on Multi Level Local Phase Quantization (ML-LPQ) features which are extracted from normalized face images. Two different Support Vector Machines (SVM) models are used to predict the age group and the gender of a person. However, MC-CDMA signals have a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which causes signal distortion because of the use of a high-power amplifier (HPA) in the transmitter. In our work, we propose a PAPR reduction scheme for space-frequency block coding MIMO-MC-CDMA downlink transmissions using method of attenuating complex chips, by multiplying every complex chip by real decreasing values. Simulation results prove that the proposed method showed a significant improvement in PAPR reduction performance, with a low computational complexity and without side information.
