When carrying out the surveys in the years 2015-2019, in addition to the quality policy, the type of organizational culture of enterprises was identified, among other things. This allowed to divide enterprises into 4 groups, depending on the dominant type of organizational culture identified according to the Cameron-Quinn methodology (Cameron K., Quinn R. 2003). This study compares the quality policies of these enterprises in terms of their orientation towards improvement characteristic of the TQM philosophy. The first part of the article describes the issue of the quality policy in the context of organizational culture. The body of the article contains the results of studies conducted among 166 enterprises. A preliminary statistical analysis of the results allowed to answer the question of what is the level of orientation of the implemented quality policy towards improvement and whether this level varies depending on the organizational culture.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129623480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The device was a programmable Lego Mindstorms Education EV3 set in the form of a robot designed to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The aim of the research was to replace the built-in color sensor with a camera that would allow the cube scanning process to be accelerated. Two approaches were chosen to meet the goal: the NXTcam camera, accessible as an accessory to expand the set, and the camera built into the smartphone. The use of NXTcam led to better scan time, but this result was prone to external influences. The camera on the smartphone sped up the scanning process to 57% of the original time. The impact of external factors on the outcome was significantly lower, compared to NXTcam. In the experiment, the cube solving process was observed in natural light, with addition distractive light source and in artificial light.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116164422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Żabińska","doi":"10.2478/mape-2021-0033","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2478/mape-2021-0033","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract Statistics from the Central Statistical Office (CSO) state that the total number of motor vehicles and mopeds in Poland in 2019 was 31,989,313 units. According to the Central Register of Vehicles (CEPiK) maintained by the Ministry of Digitalisation, the number of motor vehicles registered in Poland in 2019 was 23,878.8 thousand units. Among them, 18,302.4 thousand passenger cars were registered. The constantly increasing number of vehicles on the road has a significant impact on the deterioration of road capacity and drivers’ frustration with parking, especially during rush hours in the centres of large cities. Hence, urban logistics, including the country’s parking policy, is extremely important to a significant proportion of citizens. Unfortunately, citizens have different perspectives on parking issues. Most drivers expect to be able to leave their car as close as possible to their destination, while some residents, especially non-motorised ones, are against the conversion of free city space into car parks. In response to the presented issues, a comparative analysis of selected types of car parks was carried out. This analysis was one of the stages of the project entitled: “Analysis of the environmental impact of a vertical parking solution using life cycle assessment at the design stage” carried out at the Silesian University of Technology.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126157662","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While some of the events take place in the sphere they live on, some of them are in the way that events outside the earth affect the world. Necessary measures should be taken on time and in place so that people are not adversely affected or at least minimally affected by the aforementioned events. Geological hazards are the most important risks that occur in the environment of human beings and have a high probability of damaging people’s life and property. In terms of risk management of geological hazards, which are divided into four main groups as seismic, hydro-meteorological, terrain instability and volcanic hazard and have their own characteristics, the efforts to prevent and reduce losses for each of them also differ within themselves. In this review article, geological hazards were introduced in general by giving various examples from the world, the effects of geological disasters on the economy and production were discussed, and the points to be considered for each risk were tried to be emphasized.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"160 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116212143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such equipment is a part of oil and gas industry and work under condition of intense abrasive wearing with increased pressures and cyclic loads. Was established that traditional hardfacing materials based on the Fe-Cr-C system are not effective for improvement of abrasion resistance of elements of such equipment due to their low crack resistance and low hardness of chromium carbides. The aim of this work was to increase a durability of that equipment by using of flux cored electrodes with reaction components of pure metal powders, which leads to forming the fine-grained structure with increased hardness. Powders of Ti, Mo, B4C and their combinations were used. Structures of the hardfacing coatings were investigated by method of metallography, scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Abrasion wear tests were held under condition of fixed and non-fixed abrasion. Using of pure metal powders led to formation of a fine-grained structure with grains of Mo2FeB2 that forms around TiC, which work as modifier. It was investigated that the researched material based on Fe-Ti-Mo-C-B system that was used for increasing the wear resistance of junk mills led to increasing of the TBO period in 1.5-1.6 times comparing with serial hardfacing materials based on tungsten.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"47 9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116300675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Internal combustion machines consume oxygen, generate noise, fumes and heat, which affects work in underground mines, and minimizing these factors is expensive. Battery solutions allow achieving the same operational parameters of machines with significantly higher safety, comfort and work culture. The problem, however, is their range or working time. The article presents global trends in the development of battery-operated machines for underground mining. Various machines in battery-powered versions have been presented. The applied solutions have been discussed, especially in the field of battery replacement or recharging and braking energy recovery. Manufacturers around the world offer more and more battery-powered machines. Some producers are announcing complete replacement of combustion solutions with electric ones within the next few years. There are also hydrogen machines on the horizon, which will probably be the next step on the road to a zero-emission industry.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128659453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These toys range from the cheapest and simplest to sophisticated costly models for play education. Looking at the market offer, it can be stated that mechatronic toys are being produced, which are intended for children of several months. When developing children’s and educational robotics, it is, therefore, necessary to take into account the psychomotor development of the child. Respecting or not respecting it has a major impact on the success of the toy for the consumer and the fulfillment of the educational goal for which it is intended. Last but not least, in connection with the child’s development, the question arises as to what ergonomic principles, when designing toys intended for children depending on age, need to be respected and implemented into solutions to eliminate problems related to the development of children’s and educational robotics. The subject of interest in the article is the age groups of children from birth to preschool age. The aim of the article is to identify which factors in the construction of children’s robotic toys for the youngest children up to the period of preschool age are key from the point of view of ergonomics.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126055560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, a method for visualization of all forces involved in the cutting process was described. In the following part, the construction and principle of operation of a device for determination of forces involved in the cutting process (coal mining), referred to by the author as POU-BW/01-WAP, are presented. Resistance extensometry was used to measure the forces. This is the only device in the world that determines two of three force components that take part in the cutting process. For this purpose, two independent measuring blocks were used, which are strain gauges of force: cutting (Fs) and knife pressure (Fd). In order to register these forces, a real mining knife used in longwall shearer drums was applied – i.e. tangential-rotary. The equipment has the ATEX certificate allowing for operation in real conditions as a device intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres – in accordance with the directive 94/9/EC. It has received many awards at world fairs for inventions and innovative solutions.","PeriodicalId":281768,"journal":{"name":"Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121195180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
