The social aspects of human-RS interactions, however, have been less explored. Furthermore, measuring user experience, though natural in a business environment, is often challenging for RS research. Therefore, this study provides the first empirical test of the adaptation of a post-acceptance model for information system continuance in the context of recommender systems. An experimental design is used and a questionnaire is developed to analysis. The results demonstrate that the proposed model is supported and the visual recommender system can indeed significantly enhance user satisfaction and continuance intention.","PeriodicalId":281712,"journal":{"name":"2017 6th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123906145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teams inexperienced in concept design are often unable to design a quality concept within a relatively short time and through a visualized process. There is however a dearth of literature on such issues.This study started with identifying and categorizing issues of concept design, based on the literature survey and As-Is analysis. The issues included that 1) Team members inexperienced in concept design are not aware of the to-dos in concept design; 2) Team members inexperienced in concept design are not aware of how to consider the to-dos; 3) Team members inexperienced in concept design are not aware of the tools they could use for how to consider the todos identified in 2); 4) Team members inexperienced in concept design are unable to improve the quality of their Concept. A Concept is defined as the output of concept design.In order to address the issues, this study developed FCDT by creating a use case description based on context analysis and Checklands Soft Systems Methodology.Subsequently, this study evaluated, in 10 FCDT-based workshops and questionnaires to the participants after the workshop, the effectiveness of FCDT to address the aforementioned issues. One-day workshop was developed to help the inexperienced team members design a new business concept in a team. 43 teams of 223 employees from eight Japanese conglomerates in total participated in the workshops.The results suggested that FCDT was effective, in descriptive study, for addressing four issues in concept design in a team. This paper concludes with principal issues and areas of future research.","PeriodicalId":281712,"journal":{"name":"2017 6th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"270 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114608326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system was developed using the Python programming language. There were totally seven videos instructing how to design a webpage. The videos were micro lectures, so the length of each was only 10 minutes for each learning unit. When the system diagnoses the prior knowledge of the students, the recommendation system will decide the starting learning node for the individual students. The system was used in remedial instruction of webpage design. The system checked which individual students weaknesses required strengthening after one round of self-learning. The results showed that the remedial instruction recommended by the system was successful enough to significantly improve the students learning effectiveness. The results indicated that the self-efficacy of the low-achievement students achieved a level as high as that of the high-achievement students after the students employed the proposed approach to enhancing their webpage design learning and received the required learning videos. Because the low-achievement students received more remedial instruction learning materials, they had higher external cognitive loads. However, because the difficulty level of the learning materials which were recommended to the individuals conformed to their prior knowledge, the internal cognitive loads of the high-achievement students were not significantly different from those of the low-achievement students.","PeriodicalId":281712,"journal":{"name":"2017 6th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116120945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data mining techniques such as association analysis and cluster analysis are used for marketing analysis, because those can discover relationships and rules hiding in enormous numerical data. On the other hand, text mining techniques such as keywords extraction and opinion extraction are used for questionnaire or review text analysis, because those can support us to investigate consumers opinion in text data. However, data mining tools and text mining tools cannot be used in a single environment. Therefore, a data which has both numerical and text data is not well analyzed because the numerical part and text part cannot be connected for interpretation.In this paper, a mining framework that can treat both numerical and text data is proposed. We can iterate data shrink and data analysis with both numerical and text analysis tools in the unique framework. Based on experimental results, the proposed system was effectively used to data analysis for review texts.","PeriodicalId":281712,"journal":{"name":"2017 6th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127624539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experiential learning, the experimental group in this research, took two lecture styles. One was a classroom-styled lecture that a lecturer teaches basic knowledge of cyber security to learners. The other one was practical exercises that learners made groups and experientially implemented their products with security protection. The non-experiential learning, the control group in this research, took an e-learning-styled lecture using a video educational material containing the same contents of the classroom-styled lecture in the experimental group but the contents about any practical exercise were removed. The learning effectiveness of the two learning groups were evaluated by comparing several metrics of pre-/post-test scores and delayed-test scores. The evaluation result indicates that learners who took the experiential learning could keep retaining knowledge they learned than learner who took the non-experiential learning.","PeriodicalId":281712,"journal":{"name":"2017 6th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125876681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
