In C-QPSO the QPSO is revised by including a novel crossover operator to enhance the algorithm’s ability to escape from local optima. The experimental results on test functions demonstrate that the proposed hybrid optimization algorithm performs much better than PSO, original QPSO and two QPSO variants in terms of their convergence and stability.","PeriodicalId":280001,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Wireless Networks and Information Systems","volume":"135 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127595340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many known algorithms to compute interesting measures (scale down the number of clients, deletion methods, contraction methods, et al.), but most of them only reduce the scale of the network topology, the facticity of network simulation results can’t be guaranteed. So when simplifying network topology and reducing the simulation complexity, we should not only consider the reduction of network scale but also consider the actual simulation application and the facticity of simulation result.Given that, this paper proposes a network topology simplicity method based on focus-zone with Weight Forest Fire(WFF) , which can greatly reduce the scale of network topology and guarantee the facticity of simulation results. Then through sampling network topology experiment and UDP worm simulation experiment, it can be known that this method can not only maintain the topological properties of original topology but also improve the efficiency of network simulation by 11%. And the maximum error of the packet drop ratio is 7.8%, which occurred at the sampling rate of 0.5.","PeriodicalId":280001,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Wireless Networks and Information Systems","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127966859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Network coverage is the main support technology in wireless sensor network application; it can achieve the physical information perception of the target region and the target object through the spatial distribution of sensor nodes in the network. Network coverage fundamentally reflects the network’s perception ability for physical world. In addition, it largely affects the cost of the network and the performance of specific application. Network coverage is to be the most important issues in the network design.We first introduce simple coverage model of the wireless sensor network in this paper, and next, we discuss the challenges which belong to the issue of network coverage. In this paper, we describe the classification of coverage issues in detail.","PeriodicalId":280001,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Wireless Networks and Information Systems","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131595298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Drawing from the E-learning and knowledge transfer literatures, we develop an integrated theoretical model that posits that knowledge transfer is influenced by four sets of factors: knowledge-related, transfer contextual, teacher-related and student-related aspects. Data were collected from respondent teachers and students using online questionnaire. The results of the analysis demonstrate that all four aspects have a significant influence on knowledge transfer in E-learning, and provide support for 8 of the 9 hypotheses. The analysis also confirms four mediating relationships. These research results extend, augment, and apply prior research to an increasingly prevailed E-learning domain. Our research contributes to theory and practice in E-learning by focusing on knowledge transfer as the crucial aspect and integrating theory developed in other knowledge transfer contexts.","PeriodicalId":280001,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Wireless Networks and Information Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123726673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
